After I saw your IG post, I listened to Rammtein songs as I couldn't remember there being solos. Not only did I find out that I'd learned 4 solos many years ago, but I also discovered at least 14 other songs have solos . 😂 // My favourite solos are: Sonne and Feuer und Wasser. // I can tell you really enjoyed playing these Rammstein solos and I enjoyed watching your video - this blue guitar is oh-so-pretty. // Wishing you a relaxing and happy Easter weekend! :)
That are some great Rammstein solos indeed. Never did notice before your instagram post that there are so many great solos, because many of them blend in the riffs so well. Also that Sonne solo is so great, awesome video :-) keep on the great work :-)

I love that you included the solo from Rammstein; it's by far their best solo and the song is one of the better songs ever made.
It's always funny to hear how people bash on Rammstein's guitarist for being useless. Yes, the riffs are, in general, pretty simple, but they put in all these little details, all over the place and then they have their solos, which are, uite frankly, very well played and in some cases downright perfect.
You do a great job of showcasing these, showcasing your skills and showcasing one hell of a guitar!
That is one of my all time favorite solos of theirs! 🤘

It's funny that some people think of Rammstein as not even having solos. They have some really good ones. Big flashy shred stuff wouldn't suit their songs at all, but these work perfectly. I have to say I like your original additions even better though. Such great melodies. \m/ They should hire you to do some lead work for them. :) This was an awesome video. Excellent tones from that new Ibanez, and they flow into one another so perfectly it almost seems like one big solo in places. The new hair, new guitar, and new strap are all looking fantastic!
Thank you so much! =D Yeah, that's why I left out some of my other solo ideas xD I do feel these two solos worked best from what I added to my stand alone covers! "Mein Herz Brennt" is a solo I really liked to record but in the context of Rammstein it's too much shred and too fast. People need to appreciate calm melodic solos, too! And Rammstein does have some cool surprises there!

Mutter has some great solos (my fave Rammstein album)
My brain wants to categorize some of these as simply lead parts during a guitar break and others as actual solos. Although, most feel like they fall in a gray area that I can't really decide. All-in-all, good stuff, no matter what you want to call them!

Coupla questions vis a vis pickups. First, what are your thoughts on when to use the neck pickup? Your tone is decent on the solos higher up the neck, but I noticed that you're using the bridge pickup. I've noticed for myself that it rounds out the tone a bit if I move to the neck pickup above about the 9th fret, a la Clapton or Slash. Second; you've mentioned teaching physics at the secondary school level - have you been able to work the sustainer on your Schecter into your class as a demonstration yet?
