Yeah idk about $56 a month. That’s steep for a small town gym.
When you are in a small town it’s your only option
@@nobodythenobody9779 calisthenics my friend
I mean he's literally making a profit, so it can't be that steep for the town
@@Jomskylark you believe everything you’re told?
Yeah I thought the same thing this sounds like a story to me no way in hell in a small town you going to get 56 a month for a gym you're talking what $700 a year for a gym it's $56 that's 560 yeah that's like six that's like $700 for a gym now that's that's way too much
Alex Hormozi has the blueprint on how to monetize gyms. You should interview him asap. Paz
Why would he ever talk to her? Her advice is basically horrible
She did
I like Codie in general. Some of her stuff is rough around the edges but I understand her intent. She’s making content for getting attention and helping us out. Sometimes it swings more one way. When she is talking about things she knows less about you gotta take it with a grain of salt. But at least she does have many businesses and experience. When she talks about things from her experience or close to it she gives more accurate info and good insight. Just gotta know how to listen to her. She certainly doesn’t hammer out her concepts and stay fully in her lane enough like others but I just take the videos that are off beat as entertaining and like the ones that I feel I got more value out of. She’s kinda cool. Sometimes she’s dope.
@@CallMeUbbaShe interviewed him and his wife together. Great interview.
@@tonybravado8231 no kidding. I’ll check it out thanks
She acts like this will work all the time.
She’s just giving ideas. It’s up to you to fail or succeed.
No she isn't? Obviously things like location, competition, and other factors still matter. It's a youtube short, there's only so much that can be said in 1 minute
She build 26 bussineses, Think she never failed a single one?
Not at all, just sharing what worked for a colleague.
Do perfect research and collect accurate data and then go .
My gym offers all that for less than $20 . That dude is gonna go bankrupt charging 3x the price of his competitors.
Lol, no he’s not. Whole Foods sells the same shit as Target for triple the price. It’s not apples to apples, the experience & perception of value is everything.
@@glycogen5708 yeah but it’s hard to make a deal with someone when you have places nearby that compete for lower. My AF right now is 35 monthly with training and nutrition because if we go lower we’ll lose competition to planet fitness, dark side, and fitness one which are in the same county, it’s rough😥. But 56 is a lot for a membership, it’s not a competitive price unless there’s just no competition of course.
@@cancerboi2104 the place thats 56 by me is now like 65... but they have pools, spas, hot tubs, basketball courts.. etc etc... its packed... when i was canceling my sub becauseit was too expensive, a 5 person family was signing up next to me, it just blew my mind, the 3 kids were under age 10.. $65 x 5... i shook my head and left
Short sighted comment. Lots more than just monthly fees goes into whether someone joins a gym. In my area the average price for a membership is $65/month. The higher end ones are well over $100/month. They are all packed most of the time. My area has 1.4 million people who live here and a lot of gyms all over.
@@stevebenson506 the first question people ask, especially in times like these, is “how much is it”. You have to be competitive. It means undercutting your competition.
56 a month, thats exactly when i said you know what, this is a rip off, ill just work out at home... i was cool with 35, 40, 45... but when they hit 50 i was like dawgggg this is expensive.. 55 and wouldn't let me cancel over the phone... i walked in and said ill never come here again in my life even if im a millionaire... force me to come down just to cancel.. disgusting
Make more money stop being broke it’s called premium services for a reason you want everything to be $19.99 oh please
Was this at anytime fitness?
@@lotto5742 sounds like it. Fuck them
you broke broke
@@lotto5742 yes it was, about 10 years ago lol.. and for guy saying im broke thats like $100 now.. enjoy inflation. you're broke even if you dont realize it yet.. but you will.. when a hamburger costs $35
It's $250 here in my country. I often pass by the gym in a mall. It's a 24/7 gym. Surprisingly, a lot are willing to pay up to $300 for gym membership.
Jesus. Planet fitness Is $10/month lol
you might as well make a home gym with 5 months of that fees
For a town of 14,000 ? That's crazy expensive! I don't understand how they could stay in business. The only way that works is if you're doing first 3 months for $10 or some other promotion to get people in the door. Small towns aren't paying big city prices.
That's not big city prices - she mentioned all the other things there besides the equipment. A city would charge $200 for all of that
56 is not a big city price that almost a free membership
And at $56 you knew she was a liar, and conveniently left off the franchise fee.
There’s an anytime fitness in my town and I and many many others pay $56 a month and I go everyday but some ppl hardly ever go. All abt location
fees are a normal part of doing business, she's talking about how he turned a dead biz around, not the money breakdown. I know people who pay $100 - stop thinking your backyard is the whole universe
Pretty harsh to call someone a liar when you're clearly clueless.
The way she talks is as if all this is super easy stuff. Pennies on the dollar, ok, he still spent several gran 10k+ for that down payment even with a nice loan. Not to mention it’s not easy, the steps might be easy to list out but they aren’t easy to accomplish
Lmao she do though
@@pspwilliams no she didnt
She just be saying shit 😂
@@adtemporary69 she also says I’ll show you how a lot, and never shows you how

Really love your content. I learn so much from you.
I love the fact Stronger is playing in the background
This might be in my town since that’s my local gym
How does a town of 14,000 people have 600 citizens all attending one gym for 56$ a month. I feel like there is something she's leaving out like maybe its a suburb town around a major city.
ah the infinity money machine, the Brooklyn niche coffeeshop logic...
Gotta know the market first
More like increasing the price of one of the probably few gyms in the area or even the only one.
Glad I found your channel and looking forward to binging your videos soon. I'm ready.
Buy a crappy gym and implement the strategy of the company "gym launch" by Alex Hormozi
That’s it! I’m going out to buy a gym pennies on the dollar, seeya
What’s her point? This is literally how buying most business work, you pay them money, change it to how you want and then try to make an income on it
I think her point is that the business was initially going bankrupt under the previous owner. The dude bought the business, changed some stuff, increased the fee, and instead of losing members for the changes made and expensive fee, more people signed up for it. And now, this gym is a worldwide franchise. That's a success story worth telling, imo.
Also, it could be a lesson to those who have big ideas and want to start a business but don't want to start from ground up. This is a great alternative. Buy one that's struggling / going bankrupt. Equipments, members, employees, clients are all there. You just make some changes to make it better and work to expand the business. It's arguably cheaper and less hustle too compared to starting from ground zero.
Sounds like a money laundering joint, with membership being $50+ a month when most gyms offer those services for much less lol
Training and nutrition hiring personal= systems
Gyms were real gold mines the past couple years during the lockdowns….
What's the best way to go about finding business for sale?
I love this channel
Thanks for sharing 👍
So long as Realestate and location are ownable and in worthy locations/sizes,,, I love it
Ha ha ha 27.59.... it's around 90$ monthly now. No thanks
Just found a anytime fitness for $195k in a good city ready to go! I need to learn how to analyze deals.
🧐Very interest, Codie& crew. 🤔Right up my alley 🎳
My gym i go to is privately owned, has all that good shit plus snack/smoothie/shake bar for protein snacks or post workout stuff (not junk food), indoor track and court, sauna, and add-on chiropractic for $35 a session and the monthly fee is $20. Ppl who pay outrageous prices for trash gyms are just stupid
Beautiful. The gym I go to is kind of free for students since it's government given. But then, there's as you say, no guidance at all and some gyms have shitty equipment. I had to change gyms so I saw the difference. Where I go now, even though it's still not as good has kind of ok equipment, still no guidance. I've seen people coming in as first timers and looking at the machines like they're gonna back out. I took them under my guidance since I'm a PE student.
Tell him to come near Garfield, NJ. All gyms are shitty.
I'd love to see actual numbers on this because I can only smell the bullshit 😒
okay now I know where the new owner of my anytime fitness is going with the gym I go to.
I like the "shitty" gyms. As long as tbe equipment is good with lots of weights, racks and benches.
56 monthly is not bad for a trainer and a nutritionist. But for a small town it’s a little steep.
I bought a similar gym with 900 members paying $31 a month. I changed a dead lightbulb and bought a fake plant for the counter.
Two years on, I have 1400 members but the Zinger is NOBODY EVER COMES TO THE GYM....AT ALL....EVER......but the money keeps coming. I rarely even open the doors these days as no on shows up (or notices when we're closed).
I expected a few no-shows....but 1400....best decision ever.
This gym is a side hustle. My day job is a refuse collection operative.
I hope to be able to retire before my 70th birthday
PEACE ✌️
Not true at all. I worked at an Anytine Fitness. They all had to lower prices to compete with cheaper gyms.
Anytime fitness charges a fortune in my area. Even $65/mo is absurd but it's even more here
$56 for a gym membership in a town of 14k people? I don’t think so .
thank you (:
14,000 people isn’t rural. 14,000 is the town people in rural areas go to to do stuff.
Sure but many gyms had problems during the last 2 major recessions. If you wait a bit you may get a gym for penny. Be prepared to renovate when craftsmen are out of work. Sit on cheap interest loan now bc it may go sky-high.😬 does that make sense? I don't know
Woah I have been following people who talk about this stuff for years but yours in so much more helpful. Im 18 making 82k a year and def thinking about doing something like this.
Oh yeah im better than you. Im 15 and i make 134k a year
@@brownhippy Haha thats dope, I dont think this is about who is better but good for you man. What are you doing now if you dont mind me asking?
And he owns the vending machines!..Which for those of you new to this brilliant women's channel, is a great business in and of itself
My old gym the owner of the building wanted like 10k rent for the space the gym went under due to not having enough members /multiple gyms. Space still sits empty probably to this day years later smh.
I go to one of those shitty gyms because they don't try to sell me anything I don't need. It's just about lifting weights and socializing with gym bros. I do buy some of their stuff like training outfit from time to time to support them.
I have it can’t stop my membership been charging me for a year after I moved
There are two or three in Irving tx
How do you find these opportunities? I have no idea where to look for failing small businesses to buy then improve the operations and profits
Anytime fitness is literally the worst gym. They have like no equipment and always dirty and stupid expensive
Hey Codie Sanchez first of all thank you for your help and RUclips videos they are great. Quick question if the business was not making any profit what type of loan was he able to secure to be able to buy it since there was no revenue? And how did he do it ? Did he have assets as collateral or anything like that ? Thank you in advance. I am trying to fund a laundromat and am having a problem because they are showing loss on taxes or it is not profitable.
Rural town of 14k….
Already thought about it you start doubling the price and trying to rationalize it with sometime services you better have options and you better be ready and able to loose your client base an a huge majority of loyalty.
I would rather go to la fitness
$56.00/ mo is ridiculous for a gym when the competition is charging 20 to 10 dollars per month with an annual fee every month. It better have a pool, jacuzzi and sunna for that much.
Nobody but planet fitness is charging. $10-$20... Also planet fitness isn't 24/7
Zack learned directly from Alex Hormozi
IS there a website that shows gyms that you could buy that are for sale or going out of business?
Did he keep it branded as Anytime with the franchisor?
Lol 56 a month is a joke. I pay 35 a month for full access to machines, free weights, pool, hot tub, sauna, treadmill, stair stepper, cycling theater… like come on..
This is my dream to own a gym. I am CPT
Y are ppl acting like u can’t save 10k a year working at McDonald’s. Especially if u can live w ur parents
Does your friend Zach teach people how to do that
Lets go 💪
Cool!
Lmao, i literally have ties to a CEO that purchased a franchise from Anytime Fitness PLUS i work there as a PT. Its not as easy as you made it sound. Stop smoking your content
Stop smoking your content. Funny
For those saying it’s expensive, it’s literally $14 dollars a week. That’s two chipotle burritos a week. One hour of close to minimum wage per week.
U don’t work out do u
Lay off the burritos
Someone read gym launch secrets
Went from $27 to $56? Yeah I’m sure that worked
Please do an interview with Jon Stoddard
How many jump cuts can put in this video?
56 bucks in a town of 14,000 ? In a rual town ? Idk , that's hard to believe, but I guess anything is possible
What the fuck? 600 members? I have a buddy that purchased a Powerhouse, and practically has to give his add-on services away. Plus, Anytime gives you training on how to expand your income streams. So I'm calling bullshit on this, because unless you're in Crossfit, gyms are a horrible investment. Also, Anytime is around $55 a month now, plus yearly fees to maintain your fee.
Calling bs on $56 a month in a small town.
When in Vegas reach out to me I did six years with them . Good luck 🍀👍
what podcast is this from?
How do you find bankrupt companies?
Yeah...ok
That's how Alex Hormozi makes big bucks.
Sounds like a mini Hormozi
Alex looking 🤔😀
Sounds to me like he just doubled the prices on the existing customer base without really explaining it, then did a few small things that nobody cared about and didn't generate new sales. Wow, big idea, double the price.
Fitness 19 might be good
How much are franchise fees monthly?
Bro there's no owner named Zack
This girl is level 9000
I love your content. Not spam btw. Just a genuine consumer of your content. Keep up the great work!
I would suggest maybe a patreon or discord? Wouldn’t mind connecting to this type of community!
I would pay a monthly subscription just to never see this woman again on my shorts
For people saying $56 a month for gym membership is unbelievable, I pay $189 per month for a gym membership.
It's all about perspective and what you get out of it.
People who are dedicated to their health won't see $56 as a steep price.
Bruh it’s a anytime fitness. I pay 150 but have access to 20 gyms around my city free classes and daycare sauna basketball courts indoor out door swimming rock climbing boxing food court and more in a major city. Your going to run out of clients in such a small town. Once they pass through then cancel who else are you going to get to join
Plenty of gyms for sale around me
How to price out your clientel 101
56???? thats pennies bro what you talking about
You have to qualify for a loan first
Doubling the fees reduced the 600 members to what???
How much did he buy it for?
Where you find these bankrupt businesses?
When in 2020 though...?
The sad thing is all her ideas take big bucks. I struggle to survive working my but off. Lost my teeth cause no money. Can't go back to school.... What to do.
Didn’t she say in another video,,gyms are in top three businesses that lose money??
Anyways, I get all that and more for $32 mo.
She's got tons of friends
Nobody goes to gyms anymore.
