The business content is great and it gets my head on the right track. For the time being, I'm a rising part in a health and wellness store. We supply your herbs and supplements while I handle the fitness and weight lifter's supplements. Some day I'd like to pair the store with a gym of our own or even our own Anytime Fitness to get things going. But videos like this help me to get my head thinking in a specific direction so when the day finally comes, I know exactly what sort of equipment and floor space I want to provide our clients before sending them next door. Thanks, man.

You know, this video also kind of helps people choose a gym. If the gym you're considering is in a retail space maybe it means that you wont be able to drop weights, it may be a gym that wont let you do explosive movements like clean & jerks, throwing medicine balls against the wall, and may not fit your goals.
Also the bit about opening a gym with a niche is also good advice for gym choosers, we should all consider the kind of gym we want to go to. What kind of equipment do they have, what are their policies, what are their classes, what are they good at training? Great video.

When I go to my gym I walk past 3 other gyms (one is literally 100ft from my front door); I do this because I obviously love the gym that I workout in, but also because of two important things that they do. The first thing is that they notice me, every time I walk through the door they are chatty and says stuff like "oh you're here a lot this week" or "aren't you getting stronger" I really love that! The second thing is that they have a suggestion box that they ACTUALLY use!
These things I really love about my gym!!

The 1st floor is 5200sqft the basement is just about that size with a high ceiling so I want the heavy weights the squat racks the benches even dumbbells but the 1 st i want stationary equipment that don't need a person to slam all the weights down. The 3rd floor would require little stuff like bikes or certain other things is this a good idea moving forward?

The 5 am regulars all know the key lockbox code. So if the gym is "open" on a holiday from 9 am to 4 pm, it doesn't matter I can still go in at 5 am and do my work.

The one thing that I do not like about many gyms is the limited amount of strength training equipment. It's the worst . I want a gym in my city that has bountiful amount if equipment so people arent waiting for a certain machine to be available.

Another thing is it could be what they don’t do as much as what they do. For example, like not being mean. Could bring back clientele. (Bad word of mouth)

Hey bro because of you I also want to open a gym, the idea of being your own boss and doing what you love made me conclude to open a gym in the future. For the name I was thinking “Butterfit” and the slogan “burning the butter right off.” It’s going to be a strength and fat loss gym. What do you think of the name?

60 members? How much do you charge your members? That unit would cost in the UK about £4k per month plus rates. Just curious as I am thinking bout opening up a gym. Your gym is very unique and original, niche even, so I imagine you can charge a decent fee but just trying to figure out how to run a gym without needing hundreds of members. I run a leisure club/gym now but not my own.
