Reese had an abortion last year. Playing a game was more important to her than human life. That's why they never said why she was off.

The thing is nobody is asking Reese or really cares about Reese being the bad guy. The fact that Reese believes that all this recent popularity of the WNBA is from the college championship is delusional!! Reese really believes that she has a hand on what is happening with Caitlin’s success and popularity! Right now it’s all about Caitlin and league needs to realize and ride this train before they miss this huge opportunity to be relevant! Reese is doing the typical Me Too movement that the WNBA have used since the beginning and where has that taken them?? No doubt the league has always had awesome players but because of the entitlement and not trying to find a way to get women interested in the sport has been they’re down fall.

Is CC the ONLY reason? No. She’s just 99% of it.
Angel is only well known because she’s attached her persona to CC. If CC doesn’t exist, Angel is just another WNBA player. If Angel doesn’t exist, CC is still a phenomenon.

I’ll say almost decisively it’s because of Caitlin Clark and you can pinpoint the moment to when she broke the ncaa scoring record and it was covered.

It’s pretty simple. Look at the attendance to all wnba games that don’t involve the Indiana fever. Then look at the numbers when Caitlin Clark along with the fever come to town. Yes it’s all CC. Data answers this question.

Is she the only reason, no. Is she the main reason, yes. The fact is, people gravitated to Caitlin because of her style of play. It's the same style of play that was popularized by Steph Curry & turned the NBA into a 3pt shooting league. It's also the same style of play that kids in AAU fell in love with. Even though Angel has her loyal fanbase, it's more because of who she is not how she plays. She wears the fake lashes & makeup, is in music videos, frequently shows her body, and dances on stage with Meg the Stallion.

    She's wrong.
I didn't start watching women's basketball because of the '23 national championship game.
I started watching at the beginning of the tournament because I heard about a woman who was being compared positively to Steph Curry.
Angel Reese is nobody to me. She's an above average WNBA rookie. But she doesn't play in a way that interests me. I've seen women who miss baskets and get their own rebounds.

Caitlyn Clark sells tickets and gets views... as well as the other respectful, talented players. So respect gets respect. At some point, teams will tell Caitlyn haters to tone it down because she makes everyone more money... Don't hate the hand that feeds you.. CC may sit out against your city and your owner will feel it, then players in that city will feel it.

the WNBA is not popular and it is getting less popular weekly. The problem is people saw CC in the college playoffs a few months ago. So apparently millions followed her to the WNBA where we wanted to see her talents and game in a professional sports league. To my surprise and others there hasn't been much competition but lots of prison style of hard fouls and cheap shots. Intimidation and targeting tactics aiming to frustrate and potentially injure her. Her team isn't very talented yet they could get better as the season progresses. I like the college game better than the pros. Wish them the best and that they can get past their growing pains.

Everybody has an opinion! That's the fact. Personally i watch because I have been a fan since day one not because of this rookie class. CC is not the reason EVERYBODY watches the WNBA !!! This is not a true statement. Instead the narrtive should be Angel and CC both have grown the WNBA popularity it's a BIG difference!! CC has over 2.4 million followers and Angel has over 6 million you can't overlook this.

Caitlin Clark broke Pistol Pete's record, a record many thought would never be broken. This white female phenom can score from anywhere on the halfcourt. She's so dynamic, she's the only player ever male or female that NBA legends can recall being guarded 90 feet from the basket.

If these show hosts say that what is happening to Caitlin Clark being blind sided treacherous attack while the ball is still to be inbounded is normal to the WNBA, then these ignorant panelists do not understand why the WNBA is not watched fir the last 3 decades and is only existing because of the hundreds of millions of dollars subsidy from NBA. Also, they do not understand why there are new fans of the WNBA upon Caitlin Clark’s entry. The new fans want to watch a basketball that talentedl players like Caitlin Clark play the sport (with class) and professionalism. They do not want to watch the prison-type of basketball that WNBA has been playing. Thus, when these oanelists say to the new fans “welcome to the WNBA, their reply is “No thanks. You can have it. We are not interested”.
