    The conferences should be regional. Thankfully CUSA can support the Houston Tulsa Syracuse and all the city schools. American can hold the Military schools Rice old dominion Temple types. I made them fit regionally for the most part on 14

    I also sometimes through team builder add Montana, Idaho, NDSU, SDSU, Harvard & Yale but this game makes you have to replace a school to add them which sucks

    Honestly im just realigning the schools to where they were about 15 years ago, so we still have 6 power conferences instead of 4. This has just gotten ridiculous anymore in my opinion. Like WTF is USC doing in the Big 10 or the bay area teams doing in the ACC? Why is the Big 12 basically fucked when they had so many storied programs? This is just greed, and the college game wasn't supposed to be about that.

    In my Online Dynasty with my buddy, I moved Smiss back to the Cusa and added Ulm so we both had 12 teams each. For some reason I had 8 conference games listed but after those changes it only gave me 5 locked conference games. I figured it out and changed it to 9, then it gave me 9. My realignment is largely based on location, but I also moved a few around based on competitive balance. I also have a 16-team Teambuilder conference taking over C-USA (but replacing teams in the MAC, C-USA, the MW and the Sun Belt), so that did muddy things a bit.

      @@cswee123 You do have a point about the indies in reality, but in my game (where the schools don't need to be concerned about revenue) the ability to schedule 12 opponents of your own choosing would be quite the status symbol. I may even change it to just the 12 teams in the previous tournament getting that luxury.

  • @anidiotplayslivestream5206
    @anidiotplayslivestream5206 Месяц назад +4

    Well, for starters, my OCD demands that any conference which uses a number in its name features that many teams, because otherwise what's the point!? That's naturally gonna mean bringing back the PAC, and a whole lotta other Big 10 teams are gonna move on top of that. To decide which ones, I'll just kinda decide which 10 teams I consider the most historic / respectable of the bunch, in my own opinion. and move everybody else. (I'll also put Texas back in the Big 12, mostly out of spite. Horns down)
    From there, I wanna move everybody but the military teams to actual conferences with a cap at 14 teams per conference or so. (Also will make Air Force independent, because I don't see why they get to be special)
    So when I'm done, I should have:
    -The military programs as independents, and nobody else
    -10 teams in the Big 10, and 12 teams in the Big 12 and Pac-12 (what a concept!)
    - 13 or 14 teams in every other conference, with the smaller conferences probably being more likely to get 14 instead of 13 because they feel kinda weird by comparison.

    • @cswee123
      @cswee123  Месяц назад +2

      I agree with everything you stated. But is it the big 10 with 18 teams? I’ll be doing this as well at some point in a dynasty or try to bring it back to start in a run!

    • @anidiotplayslivestream5206
      @anidiotplayslivestream5206 Месяц назад +1

      @cswee123 yeah, they've got 18 right now. Thankfully, several of them are former Pac-12, so it'll be easier than it sounds to trim them down to just 10. I actually think it'll be a little harder to decide on the Big 12, who IIRC has 16 teams right now and has a lot of teams that have been part of it in the past, but aren't right now.

      @@anidiotplayslivestream5206 Big 12 and PAC 12 would actually be fairly simple to get back. With PAC you just add all former members, but swap Colorado for BYU. For the Big 12 you then drop TCU, West Virginia, Cincy, UCF, and Houston then add Nebraska, Missouri, Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma. From there you drop Maryland, Rutgers, and Penn State to get the B1G back to it's original 10 members although I would argue keeping the B1G at 12 makes more sense by keeping Penn State and adding ND. To add some spice I would also put FSU and Miami in the SEC given they were offered membership prior to the additions of SCU and Arkansas. For the ACC I would add Maryland, SCU, and West Virginia. That would be a good start at getting the Power Conferences back to what they were or should be.

    My thought process is get back to P5, but limit them to 12 teams each then only the academies and Hawaii as independents. For the P5 we start by rebuilding the PAC, but swap Colorado for BYU. BYU is actually a PAC school and if they weren't affiliated with the church they would have been added over Colorado, luckily we do not have to worry about church affiliations in a video game. Next would be the Big 12 by dropping Cincy, Houston, TCU, UCF, and West Virginia then adding A&M, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas. That would also drop the SEC back to 12. With B1G I would drop Maryland and Rutgers then add ND. The ACC is the hard part, but given it's name and location of schools I would probably drop Pitt, Louisville, SMU, and Boston College then add Maryland. West Virginia, Pitt, Boston College, Rutgers, Louisville, Cincy, UCF, and UCONN would get put in the AAC to rebuild the Big East as best as I can while keeping the ACC at 12. Which I guess technically you could say I'd be going back to a P6.

    • @cswee123
      @cswee123  Месяц назад

      I like idea you have, the only issue I have seen with keeping P5 at 12 teams is the amount of teams that would need to move down or to independents. I like making the ACC at 16 and have a Big east and historical ACC divisions. Then the other conferences can have closer to 12 teams like you want. I will probably release another realignment video later in the week detailing this and some other things too. This one was individual conferences I want to do an all encompassing one to make it easier for some to follow

      @@cswee123 There would be a lot of group programs, but if you have 4 independents that leaves 130 programs to assign to conferences. If you go the traditional P5 at 12 teams each that's 60 teams so you'd be left with 70 for the group which would be 14 teams each. If you go with a P6 at 12 teams each that would be 72 teams which leaves 58 for the group which leaves 14 for 2 and 15 for 2 or you could limit to 2 independents and give them 15 each or add 2 independents to give them 14 each.

    my realignment plan largely depends on if we're able to change the qualifications for the CFP. the current format is 5+7 (5 conference champions, 7 at large). so if i bring back the pac-12 that means with this format, no G5 team has a realistic shot to even make the playoff. sure its possible, but whos going to pick #16 Memphis over #15 USC? CFB media doesnt care about G5 football.
    if im able to change the qualification for the playoff, the pac 12 is returning, if not, then the pac will suffer, sadly. i like Cinderella stories so this is the only chance of them happening

    So I'm doing power 5 and i made them 13 teams each and i set it to 12 conference games so they all play each other but for some reason some teams don't play everyone in their conference and instead play against FCS teams

    So for my pac 12 I have all California teams including Hawaii, Oregon, Oregon state, Washington and Washington state..
    For my MWC I have Arizona, Arizona state, Colorado, Colorado state, Nevada, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, BYU, Boise State, New Mexico and New Mexico State.
    For my big 12. I have all of texas in there which is 13 teams.
