  • The Phantom range is legendary within the Scarpa collection, partly due to its collaboration with Ueli Steck, which took this type of boot to a new level. The latest version of the Phantom 6000 is both lighter AND warmer. How is this even possible - watch the video for more detail...

      It's a thing of beauty. Really is a marvel of modern construction!

    Why do you mention scotish climbing and alpine north faces only? Aren't these suitable for high altitude 6k+ mountaineering as well? Boot name suggest it quite well 😛

      Ha, oops - that’s a fairly obvious omission. I think we got focussed in what we’ve got close to home 😅🤦‍♂️

    it's a bit overkill for a scottish winter me think :)

      it'd definitely be a bit of a luxury within that environment, but wouldn't be a write-off - especially if you suffer from having particularly cold feet

    if i use 45 eu normal shou, what size phantom is best for me?

      @ukclimbingofficial  7 месяцев назад +1

      It's very difficult to say, because it doesn't just come down to size - it also comes down to whether or not it fits in terms of its shape (width, heel, volume etc...). Definitely one to try before you buy if you can.

      @@ukclimbingofficial Thanks for reply. I tried on a pair of 45 and it was too small. I have consulted with Scarpa and we think 47 is suitable. I live on some remote islands, so it is not possible to try the shoes and I am going to Aconcagua on January 3.

    $1,200 yikes 😬
    I really like scarpa but I already feel like I am getting shafted at $800. I don’t know maybe I am to frugal for mountaineering

      It's a pretty alarming price isn't it?! That said, I think it is (sadly) a sign of the times, as everything seems to cost more. I remember when I bought my first pair of Phantom Lites they cost in/around £300. How times change...
