I see the turning point in Ted and Sharon’s relationship is when she tells him “I can’t be your mentor without occasionally being your tormentor”. She gets that he likes a good pun and that sets him at ease that she understands him, probably unlike the other therapist that he saw with his wife back in Kansas.
I really love how you explain mental disorders, so understandable and clear. Also, could you do a review on actual serial killers like ted bundy, jeffrey dahmer, richard ramirez etc. Or what would also be very interesting major political figures such as Hitler, Stalin..
I really liked the way you phrased the importance of finding a therapist thats the right fit. It can be overwhelming to search through multiple therapists until you find someone that you feel comfortable with. I feel so unbelievably blessed to have found a therapist that I gel with. Don't give up hope if you're on the search, it could be the best thing you ever do for yourself! x
Hi Dr Bender, tank you so much for all your videos! I'm studying to be a psychiatrist and you really help me understand more what the job is about, how to handle certain more precise situations, and way more! Thank you so much for all your remarquable work!!
So glad you have your own channel now! It would be great to see you dive into Peaky Blinders and the depiction of PTSD in an era without a modern definition of ‘therapy.’ Also thanks for the mention of Dr Sharon, I’m studying Msc sport psych and people think it’s all about performance!
I could really relate to that manic energy Ted brought to one of his sessions with Fieldstone. I like to think I'm a little more grounded then Ted when it comes to assessing my emotions, but I also recognize that I often turn to humor to cover up uncomfortable emotions.
Yes, a dedicated channel. If you can please share your experience, tips, facts or address some common myths in these issues. short videos, full on episodes all welcome. Do take care!
I would like to know how to deal a little better with borderline disorder, I have this diagnosis and I would like to watch and learn more about it, especially now that I'm a mother, I would like to know how to deal better with life because I want to protect my girl, from everyone and I do not want to become my precious baby's trauma. I would appreciate any tips lol I'm taking meds and all the first steps are already taken... But it's hard to navigate... I also would like to ask if my daughter being in the spectrum will make things a lot harder for her? To deal with me, I guess. But unlike many kids within the spectrum, she loves hugs, kisses all of that, and I love that as well so idk
For some reason, I can't really truly open up to a therapist until they're "human" to me. Little details some therapists are willing to share (nothing identifying, no names, etc) make it so much easier. I don't know why, but sometimes its not a "burden" to patients. So I understand why Dr. Sharon did what she did by opening up a little.
no offense, but now that you’re not on GQ and you’re just making your own videos it’s a little little offputting that you don’t look in the camera. We all know that it’s not a GQ crew behind there, asking you questions.
You're an incredible presenter. Thank you for being clear, concise and relatable.
I am so thrilled you have your own channel!
same here, I was so happy when I saw this channel! can't wait for more videos!
I'm afraid I've got some bad news

I wish that you will make more videos. It's very comfortable listening to you talking about mental health. It teaches me a lot.

I really like all your explanations. Thanks.
Please make more videos. You are tremendously talented and great
Awesome glad to see your own channel. Love the content.
Excellent video. I'd love for you to analyze This is Us, especially the depiction of Randall's panic attacks and the family relationships.
love your stuff on GQ excited to see where your channel goes :)

This is brilliant, thank you doc! as Ted would say haha
Your amazing bro... KEEP IT UP❗
Can you please review some scenes from the Bourne movies? Jason Bourne’s amnesia and flashbacks are interesting

Dude looks like Bruce Wayne (which is to say he looks great)
Now that more information has been revealed through the progression of the show, would you be able to comment on Dr. Jake's unethical behavior?
Can he please be in the next batman movie
@eric bender, do The Usual Suspects
Oh and do Dexter lol
Huh... Not the time complaint, but the rest? You&Me, Pal.
If a stranger was staring at me like that therapist... 🤯🫨😶🌫️
