I live in Louisiana and if you knew what kind of people live in Livingston, you'd understand how Dennis got away with so much. Everyone in law enforcement is related and they cover up for each other. I promise you, someone knew what he was doing and didn't tell. When I saw all of this on the news I wasn't even shocked, just disgusted.

As a fully grown woman with children it’s just dawning on me why my mom would never let me go to sleepovers.
I knew a boy in grade school that in 5th grade would constantly flip skirts of girls, until Judy Heartfield pulled a handful of hair out of his head. The Teachers and nuns knew he did and did nothing. Now as a Teacher, if I see any deviancy happening with children I'm addressing it sternly and immediately. This behavior grew out of somewhere, and these people harmed so many children. That evil couple poisoning those children too, oh my God, help us.

I had to register to the father's statement and I think you misunderstood about him calling Cynthia the primary victim. Cynthia's father was stating that the primary child victim #1 was a close family member that they love dearly.

This case is so sickening. Annie always does a great job covering these cases.
As a survivor and now a senior. I want all three of them to have to look over their shoulder every minute of every day for the rest of their rotten lives. I was beyond shocked, disgusted and now I am in tears for all their victims especially the children. One of the children stated I want you know that this will not break me, how absolutely strong and mature she is to let them know this. The parents/relatives of these abusers are living in a make believe world. The letters they wrote shows them as well as the three abusers having narcissist tendencies. I see very little remorse on any of their parts. If my grown child was involved in activities like this I would be personally contacting any of the victims or the victims parents to give them all the support and ask for forgiveness that they would accept from me. I always wanted to believe in the past that people were not born this evil but now I have changed my mind.

After hearing all he divulged in the polygraph test taken when he got hired into the Livingston Police Department. It's hard to believe the the person/people that decided to hire him into the police department were devoid of their own misconduct. These were the man's own admissions. Just hiring a man like this into a public service role, and a position of power, should have its own set of severe ramifications, but they should be investigated as well.

That he may be referring here to child victim number one, and not to Cynthia, is supported by this statement, later in the same paragraph: 36:28 "...especially sorry to the child victim number one whom we love dearly." Would he speak of his family loving this child victim dearly if the child wasn't a family member, or at least the child of very close friends?

I think Melanie’s boyfriend might have been saying that Cynthia’s participation was voluntary and with full awareness and cooperation while Melanie’s participation was involuntary, without full awareness and without full cooperation because Melanie was coerced, drugged, manipulated, etc. Essentially he is saying Cynthia got 41 years while being a honcho but Melanie was facing more time while being a victim.

I rarely watch this kind of case summary (narrative) from beginning to end but this was really well done-not melodramatic, just gave the facts, which is excellent.
Excellent speaker and reader, too-pays attention to punctuation, so the intended meaning of the writer is conveyed accurately, I think.
She actually gives a lot of her own opinions though

I’ve just started watching these type things and found her format kind of refreshing compared to others that just plunk out clips of the proceedings, though this is my first of seeing her…. I actually like that she gives her opinions throughout also. She’s keeping it reals to her feels.

I think that Cynthia's dad was saying that the primary victim was a relative of theirs, not that Cynthia was the primary victim. It sounds like Child Victim #1 was a member of Cynthia's family.
I wonder if it was her niece? I’m so confused that someone trusted their 12 year old child around them.. so weird that there’s just kids hanging around there
