Another good remedy to use is witch Hazel. I had problems with styles as a teenager and it took a remedy like this, from an older woman that lived in my neighborhood, that cured my stye. I got tap water and heated it up, but not too hot. I got a few gauze pads and soaked them in about two small tablespoons of witch hazel in the heated water. Placed the gauze, that was soaked in the water and witch hazel and placed it on the area, and I did this for about maybe 20 minutes or so, each day or when it started to drain. When the concoction began to cool, I still kept using it until the stye shrunk. When it was all healed up, there was no scar. I still used witch hazel on my skin!!!! It’s great stuff!!!! I swear by it!!!!it’s not expensive and it definitely saves on having to do a doctor’s visit!!!!

I've bee battling a stye for a long time now. Just recently figured out that witch hazel on a cotton ball and applied to the eyelid for about 5 - 10 min a day, works very well for draining out the oils that are stuck in the eyelid. I'm surprised you never hear this mentioned..

What is Witch Hazel?
Is it some kind of Medicine, Oil, Eye drop, Cream or something?
Not really sure how to explain what it is but I guess it's sorta like a cleanser. It comes in a clear bottle and would probably be found near the rubbing alcohol at the store.

Alcohol made mines smaller thank goodness. I think it'll be gone officially gone soon. I take a q-tip and put a drip of alcohol on it and clean the stye with it every night. Be careful not to get alcohol in your eyes.
