Thanks for the info. loving the workings of the prod factories. one question, if you have an active input but NO stock of item, e.g. Wheat for the grain mill, are you still charged the hourly fee? or is the fee only charged while it's active and you have stock?
If you set it to distribute and you have both a dairy and a bakery, does it divide the output equally? If you have one of them turned off, does it just use the other? I suppose the best option would be to set to store and deliver manually.
deliver manually is the best option? nope, its the most pain and time consuming option. i try to deliver flour manually and after around 30-40 pellets i give up and set it to distribute. never had any problem.
If you are selling it, yes storing and delivering yourself is absolutely the most profitable. A 40 percent delivery fee is huge, especially for a small farm.
@@knmaherijayatp8181 Flour is an easier product. It only has one place to go, so auto delivery is ideal as there is little or no delivery charge. Sugar is another thing all together. if you put it on distribute there are two possible locations, the dairy and the bakery. My question was how does it divide the load. Manual delivery may be the only way to have any control over what goes where>
@@jimjasutis5046 On Elmcreek, I added a Sugarmill and a Bakery. I bought the Chocolate factory and bought some sugarcane pallets to deliver to the Sugar Mill. I set Sugar to distribute. I did not have Chocolate activated, but the Cake in the Bakery. The Sugar did distribute to both the Bakery and the Chocolate Factory. (Looks like it distributes it equally)
How does the production rate change if you have different inputs? Do they add up or divide between the different resources? Example, if I put 10 000 litres of beets it goes through 1000 per hour and produce 500 litres of sugar. But if I input all three, will I get 500 litres of sugar or add them up to 500 + 500 + 600 = 1600 sugar per hour?
I think the production is shared between the inputs. I haven’t mesured in any sientific way but I have two spinneries, one with only wool and the other with both wool and cotton, and it seems like it is going through the wool slower in the second one. And the Oil Mill was spitting out around four pallets per day of canola oil, but when I added sunflower it is now putting out two of each per day.
@@FarmerCop You definitely can, but you have to do it as the sell point of where you would deposit goods. Otherwise it won't trigger. Not sure if that changed after they made it so you could sell any building on land you own post patch. But you've always been able to sell production building on the map.
How do I know when I process a product, for instance wood planks, what is going to happen to it and if I own a flooring production facility, that the planks go to my flooring place and NOT the one that's already on the map?
There's a mod that lets you lift pallets (and only pallets, not everything else) by hand ;). It's called 'player super strength'. Very handy, when you can't be bothered with lifting dozens of pallets with the forklift every few ingame days :D
@@Anubis-81 I know I’m late, but I use the liftable pallets and big bags mod. It’s on console and any pallet that spawns is made to only weigh 100kg, which can be lifted by the player.
Looks like a great place to process all the millions of sugarcane you harvest, Farmer Cop
Thank you so now i own the dairy and the sugar mill ,I guess i have to grow sugar Caine as I all ready have cows for milk .
@Farmer Cop thanks for this guide and all your help me out so much for wanting to know new things keep up the good work
Well done as always buddy. Thanks for your work
wonderful guide! thank you
Another very helpful video. Liked and subbed. And greetings from a multigenerational policing family in Australia! 👍
Thank you and your family for your service :)

thanks for the explanation. As usual, a very well done video

Great question, to be tested
@@FarmerCop cool. And the result should be applicable on all factories/production facilities, is my guess.

You can sell production buildings already on the map. They just get deleted and they can't come back
That did not work for me

VERY HELPFUL THANKS
If you want to distribute it, do you need to put the bakery or so next to the mill or does that not matter how far they are from each other ?
It shouldn’t matter
How can you choose between different distributions if you own 2 or more?
You cant, it evenly distributes between your other production facilities

Is it better to turn sugar beets into sugar. Or just sell the beets
It costs more and takes more time to make sugar but you will earn more that way, its mostly a preference for you
Last time I watch you where at 25k
When it’s set to auto distribution to another factory does it cost a fee as apposed to delivering it yourself?
On watching further videos appears to have no transport costs. A complete lack of of atd imo.
he said it at 9:11
Yes I missed it thanks
Dang, the pallets are too heavy. Ugh

Wish that was on console or some variant like it forklifts or Tele just to slow
