I guess that makes me LORE OBSESSED OLD MAN even tho I'm not THAT old, and I love New Vegas the most but I respect every opinion I'm not closed minded (the closest out of 3D games to F1&2) and god ... I wish it would be on F4 engine cos I love the mechanics innit! I hate tho what they did with power armor in 4 that the cores run out so fast. IN LORE (duh...) its stated they should last YEARS, maybe even decades (havent played F1&2 in a while to confirm exact amount). Thats why I always install a mod that turns that mechanic off ... my headcannon based on cannon :D
Not trying to be that 'obnoxious fnv fanboy' but you admit the reason why so many fans love fnv over any others - its story. Which fallout is a story telling franchise - and personally why I dont like fallout 4 for anything more than gameplay, its story is BAD. It also has no major lore implications besides the institute itself and the BOS getting a blimp. Also, if we're just talking gameplay, F4 is barely more stable than FNV from an engine side look, its poorly optimized. I'm not going to sit here and tell you what youre favorite game should be, if you like F4 thats great and Im happy for you. Im playing F4 right now lol - but it seems very disingenuous to say that NFV fans are just obnoxious, most of them more likely fall into that Lore obsessed category you mentioned, and thats the real reason they love FNV, the lore and the story which is miles above even modern game story telling - and F4s story and lore are seen as nothing more than a meme or even a blemish. as respectfully as possible because i genuinely don’t mean to insult or demean you, i think this is exactly what he’s talking about. we know how good NV is, hell, i’ve never even finished the game, but through just listening to fans (mostly as they complain about me liking Fallout 4 🤣), i’m pretty sure i’ve put together how most of the story goes. NV is just one of those games people wanna gush about, and it’s understandable, but it’s just that SO many people feel the exact same way, we’ve heard every point thrice over. ya know?
