Too often the announcement comes down without a reason. The congregation is left to sort out whispers. If there is no Side, don't expect The Other side. Smoking a cigarette or asking the wrong question can get blown up to sexual failure. The Love Bomb gets weaponized and aimed at the victim of the week.

@@GoatlikePersonality No! I'm not going to be dragged into something that happened something like 30 years ago.
I'm not saying that some situations could not have been handled better. It's easy to criticise in hindsight, but for all organisations, right across the board, be they the Boy Scouts, The Salvation Army, and even the police, themselves, today there is much more awareness and better training.
So you can't just pick on one organisation, that you just happen to have it in for, as if they alone should be condemned.

(Also quite unnecessary to establishing what happened tho that's beside the point). It's also as you rightly said a crime. If it's a minor for sure and abusive in all cases. Also I thought it was so sad but interesting when you mentioned your experience and the cycle of guilt religious kids feel so that they are perfect prey for pedophile's, knowing guilt prevents them from speaking out.

The police have been accused of doing the exact same thing in the past. Girls have felt embarrassed and were reluctant to talk in front of men, but unfortunately some very personal questions need to be asked.
Nowadays, it's the domain of specialist female officers.
It's so easy to judge in hindsight.
Ironically if they hadn't taken her aside to find out exactly what had gone on with her and her sister's husband then you would have criticise them for not doing anything. It's about being damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Anyway it all came out in the end and she was able to make a fresh start.

This is why I never let my kids do sleepovers or be baby sat by anybody. They went to dinner and elsewhere with my wife (their mom) and me because I trusted no one. My experience is that most Witnesses wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. They would help strangers before one another. When I was a kid, my dad and I had an automotive and heavy equipment shop in East Texas. Witnesses always came by wanting free repairs when they were broke but never once did any request work and offer to pay. It got so that I would close the doors and lock up and pretend to be gone when they would come by wanting a freebie. Being shunned rocks and shouldn't be overrated. If you're being shunned, they aren't asking you for money or favors.

In 1973 at the international assembly she told me she was having a baby and was to disfellowshiped immediately after the assembly. We returned home she went to her family for help her father said no he had warned her if she turned her back on her family for the religion don't bother coming back. I don't know where she went she disappeared as if she never existed. The sad thing my parents were willing to take her in but we never had the chance to tell her. The heartbreaking thing when the father who denied any wrong doing at the time found out about the baby he then demanded his legal rights. He was very proud that he didn't pay a dime in support as he didn't want to be funding a non-believer. Her daughter would be 43 today I hope they are free from this organization and have had a wonderful life. Wow a powerful interview Thankyou so much for sharing 💗I had constant sexual abuse growing up before JWs I became a jw because I would be safe my children would be safe, a trauma driven decision which is what this cult preys on. They shredded my family and stole my children, then killed me off or tried. I so related to being victim shunned my husband (ex) and I had four kids he never came in until I caught him cheating 10 years after me and said he would study and we can start from scratch. Of course everyone love bombed him and bullied me into place He cheated again with my f-sister, we broke up divorced. Near everyone pushed me out as that sister rebels against the submissive thing they have going to your husband and men in general. 1 friend newly in almost an elder at his baptism tried to keep me in the social scene as he saw what was happening to me and said it was wrong but didn’t know what he could do. I showed this as they were teasing me about being rebellious against the submissive thing I showed them my 1st crack in the curtain Ephesians 5:21 and said this doesn’t get read out I’ve never seen?! it at a get together haha awkward silence 😂 of course that made things worse. I started pointing out other inconsistencies getting pushed further to the edge until my kids started to believe whatever is getting said about me and terrified I might be right so pushed me over the cliff if your kids are shunning you you die….. breakdown 😢 I’m writing my story in a unique format as I’m a cartoonist and artist. I didn’t fall of the edge I grabbed a tree branch and pulled my self up and jumped of the cliff and into the ocean and swam to the family I had left behind living my best life I have peace and joy in my now 🧜‍♀️🎠🫶🏼✌🏼

I resonate so much so with her story.. being abused by the brother in-law.. yup that happened to me I was 13 he was 28. Parents asked if I wanted to report it , but we decided no.. eventhough he was not a JW.. the whole reproach thing.. etc. Molested at 4 yrs old.. son of a JW.. many years later, my parents informed me how they went out to dinner with him.. but eh.. it was so long ago I should be " over it by now" .. my sister.. goes back and forth with blame because I was old enough to know better and fight her husband off. Yeah ok... & Yup I was my older sisters side kick aka shapperone .. thought we were bonding but no.. they just used me so they could have their worldly boy friends. And have freedom to go places without our parents.

The reason a 16 year old TAKES the blame for an affair is because her SISTER did the blaming thats she is screwing her husband. I american state laws most 16 can legally marry, many only needing permission for 15. YOU also have JW parents who see no guy for their daughter and THEY ARE pushing 16 together with 18 or 21 with chaperone. My sister at 16 was making out with a 21 year old as mom wanted and as another elder thought was the good thing to do. However, this other elder exalted is own daughter and did not know that i am the one who walked 2 hours to his house because my sister and his daughter met a school boy at the carnival and wanted to PAY my way for rides to keep my mouth shut. I GOT THE BLAME at 15 sacrificing myself by ditching them, not by saying okay let me screw someone too. These people who MAY have sinned (not been abused; come on 16 and 22? while others 16 and 22 get married) make me sick because they dont see real abuse for 12 or 14 by 35 and 40. Tired of seeing WT forced to give millions $$ to 16 and 17 whores while the 9-12 year old girls NEVER get to court. I got some experiences for you, a pile of clothes on a door so they cant close it then they accuse me of looking at them in underclothes.

Jonas video on raped age 11 by an age 16. Proper way to obtain 2 witnesses to crime. Elder interference in single dating tagging things which are not fornication. Lewd married baptized adults who put burdens on singles, and USUALLY are adult married persons who were of world fornication before their baptism.
This word at age 16 against her word at 11 is not what the scriptures says. It says that she is to confront him to see what he says (matters not if its recorded or not), for her protection someone can be outside the door. it then says you create the first witness by going to him time #2 and this totally unaffiliated person becomes a witness of what he says to her 2nd confrontation to him. The victim has already told this "elect-witness" her side of story, and now she confronts the accused in front of witness #1 who will hear her repeat what she had said and listen for changes she might make, and hear what he says to the SAME charges in front of them (another) person. This 1st witness will see if he replies the same to her as she claims he had replied in solitude with her. Because this 1 witness does not know if his personal sole presence reply was different or not, this is why you bring a 3rd person (a 2nd witness and with the 1st witness again) because the 2 people will be able to say his story keeps changing which then makes him guilty. THEN you take it to the elders and you say this is accused, this is victim, and these are the 2 witnesses to him twisting the story 3 times.
Had this been done with me, it would have proven he tried to say in private that THEY ALL KNOW i am trying to pick on and remove elders one at a time. Instead i had 20 people witness an apology by him that said he was SORRY he ever did any thing FOR me (not against me, but FOR me; as if he had been of christian assistance to me). This was done so he could give tomorrows Sunday talk without accusation.
The elder-processis of demons and watchtower demons, not of Jehovah nor of his 144,000 whom they also attack with GB permission. Since i am not of the 144,000 i choose to be like John the Baptizer and defend those the watchtower kills of the 144,000. Sadly for 40 years Jehovah has had to replace 144,000 remnants of raped BatheSheba wife of righteous Uriah who could not handle the rape by David by David who dared think this child would sit on Jah's throne. The throne of Jah's is for the 144,000 temple not for the watchtower appointed to feed. They have raped and try to put the bastards aka elders on Jah's throne. But by letting Satan move in as 25,000 partaker our Jehovah was able to retain 7000 during these 40 years. Their appearance after the final slaughtered Lamb will prove any and all anointed left on earth as fakes, because only when complete will the 144,000 get the same 40 days Jesus got to revive his scattered church this year.
The elders like to close cases that are open in Jah's eyes. They also like to say that if one word against another's word that speaking of it is slander. How can it be slander of it requires 2 witnesses that the word or story is false. When here it is equally one word against the other according to them.

The JWs are not a Christian organization. They are more like a cult. With multiple wives for many, this is evident. Sorry that you went through that. // To have a connection with God, He sent Jesus to be our mediator... Jesus when He was on earth said: "Follow Me"... He did not say: Follow the 10 commandments, Follow what the priests are saying, Follow what your parents are doing/teaching.... Following Jesus as a person is a live vibrant walk. This is why we go to heaven... to continue that walk / connection with God / Jesus.
    - If you don't believe in God... just say: "God I don't believe that You exist. But if You do, then show Yourself to me.. so that I never doubt You again". If He responds, then great. If He doesn't, then you would have lost nothing for asking.
    - If you don't think that Jesus is important in God's plan for you... ask God about Jesus and how that all works for His plan of Salvation for you.

To religious people who believe in the *fictional* Abrahamic god YHWH/Yahweh/Jehovah/Allah, please learn his origins. He was originally a lesser god in the Canaanite pantheon and son of the chief Canaanite god El.
Yes, the *fictional* god of the Israelites and Christians is the same *fictional* god of the Muslims as well - the Abrahamic god.
    ------------------‐-----------------------------------------------
*Although the biblical narratives depict Yahweh as the sole creator god, lord of the universe, and god of the Israelites especially, initially he seems to have been Canaanite in origin and subordinate to the supreme god El.* Canaanite inscriptions mention a lesser god Yahweh and even the biblical Book of Deuteronomy stipulates that *“the Most High, El,* gave to the nations their inheritance” and that “Yahweh's portion is his people, Jacob and his allotted heritage” (32:8-9). A passage like this reflects the early beliefs of the Canaanites and Israelites in polytheism or, more accurately, henotheism (the belief in many gods with a focus on a single supreme deity). *The claim that Israel always only acknowledged one god is a later belief cast back on the early days of Israel's development in Canaan.*
*It is generally accepted in the modern day, however, that Yahweh originated in southern Canaan as a lesser god in the Canaanite pantheon* and the Shasu, as nomads, most likely acquired their worship of him during their time in the Levant.
    *Yahweh in the Canaanite Pantheon*
The biblical narrative, however, is not as straightforward as it may seem as it also includes reference to the Canaanite god El whose name is directly referenced in `Israel' (He Who Struggles with God or He Who Perseveres with God). *El was the chief deity of the Canaanite pantheon and the god who, according to the Bible, gave Yahweh authority over the Israelites:*
When the *Most High [El]* gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the Sons of God. For Yahweh's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. (Deuteronomy 32:8-9, Masoretic Text).
The Canaanites, like all ancient civilizations, worshipped many gods but chief among them was the sky-god El. *In this passage from Deuteronomy, El gives each of the gods authority over a segment of the people of earth and Yahweh is assigned to the Israelites who, in time, will make him their supreme and only deity; but it is clear he existed beforehand as a lesser Canaanite god.*
Yahweh, according to Amzallag, was transformed from one god among many to the supreme deity by the Israelites in the Iron Age (c.1200-930 BCE) when iron replaced bronze and the copper smelters, whose craft was seen as a kind of transformative magic, lost their unique status. *In this new age, the Israelites in Canaan sought to distance themselves from their neighbors in order to consolidate political and military strength and so elevated Yahweh above El as the supreme being and claimed him as their own.* His association with the forge, and with imagery of fire, smoke, and smiting, worked as well in describing a god of storms and war and so Yahweh's character changed from a deity of transformation to one of conquest.
*As the Israelites developed their community in Canaan, they sought to distance themselves from their neighbors and, as noted, elevated Yahweh above the traditional Canaanite supreme deity El.* They did not, however, embrace monotheism at this time. The Israelites remained a henotheistic people through the time of the Judges, which predates the rise of the monarchy, and throughout the time of the Kingdom of Israel (c.1080-c. 722).

    1. Obviously if you were sleeping in a room with a boy and some girls and the girls were sleep so they didn’t SEE or HEAR you protest or scream .. that’s weird on YOUR PART.
    2. If you just seen your friend get a creepy massage from her dad and she went to take a nap. That’s weird on YOUR part for sticking around and letting him give you a creepy massage too.
It’s elementary, Watson... it’s not really a Sherlock Holmes mystery as to why you keep going around boys while your friends are “sleep”. 🧐🧐🧐🧐 LETS BE HONEST! ..

My parents did not protect me from abuse. Come to find out as an adult my mothers sisters and likely herself were molested by her father. She put it out of her mind, her abuse and mine. In the moment she would be furious, after time passed it was as if it never happened.

This guy doing the interview is laughing at very inappropriate times and seems to be "entertained" by some of the despicable attacks that the young lady is relaying in the interview. I don't know if anybody else gets that
    Impression or not.
