We have TWO 1st gen dodge cummins bought new on the farm that are still driven daily. Besides wear and tear and maintenance we've done nothing to the engine. Newer trucks may ride better, are faster, and have ''luxuries'' but these old Cummins are as reliable as they come and you can work on them yourself. Hope you enjoy that truck, their value is skyrocketing!
I’m really enjoying it and am uploading a video right now that has a little more of it. Currently need to replace the vacuum pump. I’m sure that will be a video soon as well!
When that little girl gets here you won't have time for anything but her. Glad to hear you made it with no problems. Good luck going forward to the whole family!!!
Why would you ruin a perfectly in demand, sought after, a "collectable" 1st gen Cummins by putting a FORD body on it???? If FORDs were any good you wouldn't have commit such sacrilege. Some people...
I have grown to really like the first gen and no longer plan to swap the body. I will be finding a different 12 valve Cummins and putting it in the ford frame at some point.
@@GRAPPAHOLICS i tell ya, i like fords, and dodge. Even had a ford with the old 6.9 diesel i loved. I currently have a 2001 ram 2500 quad cab 5.9 cummin, with all the bells and whistles, and s 1990 simple old w350 12 valve. I drive my old 12 valve almost daily. I love that truck. So simple, built with one purpose, to work. Its just fun to drive
@@greggreen6636 I agree man, I love the simple old stuff. I want my 6.7 powerstroke project to have all the bells and whistles but it’s nice to have an old reliable work truck around
Congratulations on your baby coming soon. Why would you take the GOLD truck apart if it runs and looks good what's wrong with that frame because you could have 2 trucks to fix up instead of 1 out of 2 . Idk just wondering why. God Bless you and your family. Keep up the great work on your videos 💯👍👍🙏🙏
Thank you! I have the black crew cab, which is very rusted out and just runs well enough to drive around the block, going on the Ford 6.7 diesel chassis. The yellow/red truck is solid but needs a complete restoration and also just drives around the block. I want to swap it on to the dodge Cummins chassis so I will definitely have 2 trucks when I’m done. There was a finished Gold Cummins Ford crew cab briefly in the video that belongs to Ford Era. I want to finish the black one first and just drive the dodge as is. I might end up going a different route by the time I finish the first one but that’s what I would like to do. Thanks so much for your kind words and watching the channel!
@@GRAPPAHOLICS your welcome, well Sir I cant wait to see it all go together especially the Ford 6.7 that truck is going to be a BEAST when you get it all together. Stay safe and God Bless you and your family keep up the great work on the channel 💪🏼💯🔥👍👍🙏🙏✌
I couldn’t believe it picked it up so easy! I ended up having to put the Ford in 4x4 to get it to crawl up the trailer. That’ll be in a later video, thanks for watching!

Dont put a ford body on that first gen. Restore the first gen
I might be changing my plans on that. The first gen is too cool to cut up
