This song has such special meaning to me. I was in Grant Park in Chicago when President Obama was elected. This song played. We were crying, dancing, and hugging one another. Complete strangers. Best memory of my life.
By the late 60s & early '70s, Stevie was an Iconic, Legendary, and musical Treasure (healing source) for the Black community. You see how the Soul Train Dancers are gettin' down...they are givin' their all on the dance floor....it's Stevie Wonder! So much honor and repect.
Awww man , This reminds me of my childhood on a Saturday morning at 11:00 and I was trying to dance with every woman on soul train .......... and my mother telling me how manish I was . HAHAHAHAHAHA ........... 000000H how do I miss those days .
Stevie Wonder the goat greatest of all time seven wonder of the world he never seems to stop amazing me the best I hope one day to get to see him in concert
I remember this being one of the first records I'd ever bought. 5th grade had just let out for the summer, LOL. I bought this song and "Patches" by Clarence Carter the same day. This must be Pre-syndication. (1970) I wonder if he sang "Heaven help us all" as well?
Seems funny seeing Stevie stand and sing. So used to seeing him behind his piano. And I remember watching Soul Train as a kid. I never figured out the artists weren't really singing. I always thought the band was behind the curtains! lol
It seems criminal that only 136 people liked this video and that anybody disliked this song. A testament to the fact that most people's taste in music is shit.
OK, FIRST OF ALL THE TAMBORINE WORK IS SUPERB ! AND PLEASE NOTICE THE DANCER ON STEVIE'S LEFT IN BACK OF HIM-PLEASE CHECK HIM FEELIN IT AT 2;13-2;16 WOULD LOVE TO MEET HIM !!!!!

GOD IS REAL
Stevie Wonder was only 20 years old during this appearance on Soul Train, had more hits at 20 than most Artists had during their entire career...
Stevie was 22 when this aired in Jan 1973
