It's an amazing style - mixing scribles with your knowledge of anatomy, shapes, human face structure and more. I sometimes try to do something similar - the biggest difference is that I don't know what I'm doing and I have little knowledge about art so far. Since FF is my favorite game series, he's one of my favorite artists so (I also like Araki's style - creator of JoJo's bizarre adventure.)
I don't know, what to be more sad about: the microscopic amount of views on this fascinating video, or those salty comments of people, unable to appreciate art...
I found it interesting that he switched to a ''broader/thicker'' marker. Probably because despite that he's used to thin lines, he draws relatively big faces in this example, and it doesn't translate well with singular thin strokes.
His art style drives me crazy. It's so sloppy and yet he's able to produce an elaborate take on characters thr fact that he doesn't completely flatten the paper on his first sketch tics my OCD so bad. Again, not disrespecting his art but whew.
Being able to draw a head without using Loomis head or even a simple T, do you realise the amount of skill this guy has in being able to draw something in 1 min which will take 4-5 mins easily to a less experienced artist?
@@Vajrapani108 lol these drawings still suck, but nice try though you're talking about technical application of drawing but im talking about final result. And the final result is the only thing that matters, if the final result sucks it doesn't matter what techniques you used to draw them
Those are what called "one minute" sketches - a challenge for artists to create a coherent character look in one minute. You are either sarcastic or is not familiar with his work. This man is genius. Those sketches reflect only 5% of his full abilities. And stop using this nazi argument "you can draw this too". You can't. Because it simply wouldn't be a work of Yoshitaka Amano.
Why is there so much hate in the comments?? Yeah, the world is unfair, but why attack and blame someone who, like most of us, is just doing his best and creates something beautiful?? And it's not even that these sketches are his best work, but even so I feel that they're amazing.
@@borealsullivan5486Then do... If you want to. As long as those sketches would be filled with something other then hate... I think they could be great. Probably not a lot of people would see those, but that's how it works. I love Yoshitaka Amano's works so that's why I'm here, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like someone elses art just because they're not as popular, just that I most likely wouldn't find them unless I got lucky or if I always searched for it, or just fate... Anything really. At the beginning of this comment I also got tainted by that negativity, but going further, I stopped and thought that maybe you're just a good person who is mad at the world which is... It's just unfair.
Not toddler quality, because he actually knows what he's trying to draw and knows about composition, but those are just sketches. Although I agree people are cheering because he's a famous artist, not because of the quality of it.
It’s amazing how it goes from “what is he doing” to “oh wow beautiful” in a split second
reddit
Im totally obsessed with his art right now. these pieces are absolutely beautiful.
Blue Enigma i think amano is one of the best artist in japan. He and kaneko are gods But between kaneko and amano i love more kaneko.
@BlueEnigma same.
I downloaded the applause audio backsound so I can play it whenever I started to draw.
😂
4 years late, but whatever - I had the same exact idea lol 🤪
It is ABSURD that even in these sloppy, extremely quick drawings, his style comes through so strongly that I could recognize it has his work anywhere.
he makes art look fun, not stale. v inspirational
this man is by far my favorite artist. I am downright inspired by this man. Such a great dude, I wanna see him draw live one day
Famicom have u seen kaneko dude? My two favorite artists kaneko and amano.
jose luis RMZ no! But I’m always looking for new ones so I’ll check them out
Famicom Yeah kaneko is god.
SAYA OW First or last name being?
So amazing to see him draw, this man inspired me all my life.

Thanks for sharing! Amazing opportunity to see his process.

I'm genuinely confused by those like what were they expecting in one minute doodles? Him going super sonic and drawing a masterpiece lol?
@@SomePersonOnRUclips Generally those types of "critics" aren't even able to draw anything more complicated than a strawman
@@borealsullivan5486 Strawman is too complicated
This lot probably can't even draw decent stick figures
@@ilikestuff9250 they are use to soulless hyper realistic Call of Duty style game art, so they can’t appreciate Amano’s work

I love this sm speed drawing is great for boosting creativity yall should try it
Amano is a Genius!
These are fantastic, but his artwork especially pops when he adds color.
I WAS BESIDE U
lol, what a small world, huh?
ya sucks they cut it short when he was giving the little girl the drawing lol
When that woman was like „Why not Cloud“ istg no cuz I thought the same LMAOO

good artist

"Don't draw from imagination," they said. "Use a reference," they said.
lartisteautravail that's for beginner artists. Amano has years of Experience which he can put on paper.
How do you think he achieved this level? Stop playing bruv 😂
Anyone reading this. Absolutely draw from reference. But do it different. Different pose, angles, shading.
You can't draw like this without first learning anatomy.
@@dartagnan553 Exactly. You aren't meant to use references like you're a photocopier, you supposed to use them to understand form and proportions.

Don't worry
You're still worse than him since you clearly can't be others to do one Google search
