I have been trying to figure this out for some time. Thank you for sharing this. We have a big ole Golden Retriever and his hair had matted up on the coil and this is why the blower felt like the breath of a sleeping baby. Did your fix and now it blow 20 times harder. Thanks again for making and sharing this video.
Appreciate that, but now you gave me yet another project to do on my 1999 Dodge Ram Van 3500. So in order of projects to do: broken LEAFSPRING, , replace spring, Install Air Lift 5000 , replace again Governor Presssure sensor inside tranny, get smogged, get registered, Install custom headers, get floorboard, Install oval porthole window, make custom vanity, 3 drawer cabinet and install sink in same with drain leading out on wheelwell, clean evaporator... That's it....piece of cake, unless you got 60 candles on it, then not so much... Peace and pussy to you. 😎
Awesome video. Need to remove my evap on 94 b350. How’d you get the back 5/16 bolts out?? So difficult for me. Manual says to go the through glove box to remove the whole assembly which seems crazy. Haha. Thanks again for the awesome video.
@@garionporter5961 It was initially a sensor-driven electric-fan. The head-gasket was blown.....but if I had the engine-fan on most of the time, it would stay cool enough to run OK and not spew coolant all over the place. The sensor turned the fan on too late.
I recently got a 96 3500. its in pretty decent shape, just very dirty. one issue is the noisy AC. I was shocked that there was no filter. autozone didn't even believe, since there's one listed in their books. anyway, this video is helpful! I was wondering if there was a way to get that box to open more, but I guess that's it.
Too much talking about it, instead of doing it.
Amen to that.

Thanks for sharing.
I wish I had seen this video first. I just R&R'd the blower motor a couple days ago to fix it's intermittency. Oh well. Thumb up for the information.
Beautiful work
This is a Good video. It would have been a Great video if you would have shown the box open.
Does anyone have a photo or video of the open box where the evaporator can be seen? Maybe there is a pic online, or a schematic?
SOOOOOO.....WHERE IS IT?????

Looks like somebody replaced your vacuum-controlled heater check-valve, with a manually operated valve.
@corey Babcock q: why would someone do that? I have 99 3500 too (weird ac/heat issues?)

@@garionporter5961 I dunno..........I have installed manual switches on my electric radiator-fans, that made sense. This install, weird.

thanks you for a great info.
It is possible to out a filter in the system anywhere?
How do you access the serif door..?
Where the he'll is the fan motor
Where is the hot and cold blend door at?
You figured out everything except for what it's called LOL core not coil
Where would one find new ac lines for this van?
Try rock auto or junk yard or shop replace hoses.
CORE! Evaporator core or heater core not coil
Isn't the idea of making a video of to show how something is done. Duh no help period
hold the g%%am camera still, and actually do something
Complete waste of my time
Thank You
