Interesting. I love learning about different ukulele companies or luthiers. Only problem is I want them all. Buying ukes, whether or not you need it, is becoming a habit.
We are talking marginal gains here. I wouldn't anticipate that it would be the difference maker for a player. Its more the effect on sound than feel that is relevant.
Really nice video as ever. That's an interesting brand, I wish I can try one in real life to see if that or that model would be good as a secondary instrument, for low G for instance. Just one remark though, isn't the kind of binding one the UK-17ST called herringbone and not rope binding. Rope binding corresponding more what we find on certain Millar or traditionally on old Weissenborn guitars (style 2 and 3 ?). But in any case, it does not change anything about the super good quality of the review ^^.
@@SouthernUkuleleStore As I said It was such an insignificant slip up, that it was, in fact quite childish on my part to bring it up. If it was not such a pleasure to interact with you every time we may not bother you with such paltry things to engage the conversation 🤣. Keep up the good work and take care !
It's a shame the Moon doesn't have an actual arm bevel. I'm in love with the shape of my Flight Victoria and wouldn't consider buying any other uke without a proper arm bevel (still waiting to find an 8 string baritone model with one of these)
Nice instruments and good price...Almost bought one.. but I don't like their logo...they should change their logo. it is too "girly" or "toyy": ...they should just put a colored nice flower as a logo (as rebel for exemple or a custumized "U"...someting like that...somthing more neutral ...i am sure they 'd sell more ukes...Just my personnal view...Nice video as always tks

First discovered Uma as NAMM as well. I am a 'fan' of their Pulse FanFret Spruce with Walnut Tenor
Love My Uma's 👍 great video Alex
Great video, thanks! So a slot-headstock might create tension that would make it too hard for a person with hand problems to play?

You're right... herringbone is the right term but it all looks like rope so I'm not gonna lose sleep over it 🤣

@@GenghisDaniel You were right to correct me! We're all on the same page here... haha

The final two solid wood ukes sounded louder than the first four. True?
I would agree

Their logo also stopped me from buying their ukes. It's just so in your face ugly.
@@femkebeernaert yes maybe the logo is a bit too burdened...you don't buy a uke for the logo but it's a whole thing... :-)
