      It's based on a conspiracy theory that the human race was created by Anunnaki to be slaves. There was a book published in 2005 called "Slave Species of the Gods: The Secret History of the Anunnaki and Their Mission on Earth". I think the Lisbon earthquake, in Rogue, was a good story catalyst. Also, the Templars and Assassins are different sides of the same coin, making it murky to define who is really good or evil.

    • @isaacgleeth3609
      @isaacgleeth3609 2 года назад +20

      Both originally wanted the same thing--peace. However, they sought it in different manners. The Assassins had the "kill one, save a thousand" method, and the Templars had the mind control method. It was only when Altair took over that the Assassins took that they took to defending free will.
      Haytham Kenway mentions that freedom, a product of free will, will only lead to chaos. He also mocks the idea of "freedom" when privileged rich men met chose a general to fight the British, then use clever wordplay to make it sound like it was "the people's choice" when they privately made decisions to benefit only themselves.
      Also, the 1755 Lisbon earthquake wasn't the only real event mentioned in Rogue. In 1751, an earthquake occurred near Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The Assassins had tried to get another Isu relic there, and "[w]hat happened in Haiti happened in Portugal."
      They knew what could happen, and they did nothing. It was only after Shay had turned Templar, killed most of the Colonial Assassin's leadership, and chased the remaining two to the Arctic for a similar artifact that Achilles saw fit to abandon the search.

      the problem I see is that both of them are half right and that's what makes them fundamentalists and dangerous. The assassins was free will and the ability to choose your own course which is great and I don't think anyone's going to disagree with them but the templars want order they want things in place to keep the people from doing whatever they feel like because that would just cause chaos and for a society to function there has to be limits to individual freedoms for the greater good.

    I really liked that they brought another perspective of Aelfred in the game and I understood his motives. The only thing I hated was that you could see that he is a Templar the very first moment you saw him and then looking at the tree in the orders menu. From his silhouette you could directly see he is The Father..

    • @Dianuxkasfenix
      @Dianuxkasfenix Год назад +1

      Honestly the silhouettes are a mood killer because we can easily guess who si who. Especially the members tied-in with story quests. I think Odyssey and Origins actually had that planned a bit better.
      Edit: I would also like to add that Aelfred probably was only able to extinguish the Order in England and that he only mentions forming something else, but never says "hey it's the templar order". I don't think he wanted neither order like they were, but eventually those who came after him thought otherwise. Not to mention the Order of Ancients is like a Hydra: cut the head in a place and two to three will soon appear.
      If ubisoft management weren't so keen in making people play the expansions as soon as they bought them even in lower levels - which to me was kind of a sus move, considering the extensive volume of copies sold - they could actually mention another faction of the Order in Francia (which we are alluded to, but in a very superficial manner). The templar order was indeed only created in 1118, but it isn't far fetched to think they already existed as a organised group in the shadows who wanted control of the Holly Land and needed a public alias, which eventually took over.

(Later staff was used in Valhalla to resurrect one of the characters).
    edit: Also nitpicking with King Alefred... Order of Ancient and Templars arent exactly the same :) And no one says that Aelfred in games is Evil. I don't personally have a problem with all the gods being Isu. That one was basically said to be the case since AC2. But the problem is that all the myths are now just true as well and they are just some kind of beasts the Isu created. Which isn't interesting. The interesting thing would be that these myths are some kind of misconception where someone used a piece of Eden (which are not infinitely strong). Like when Al Mualim said that someone could make an illusion that made it appear as water had turned to wine. In the current AC, they would just introduce a piece of Eden that can turn water into wine just to have it as a reference.

    this is so bad. Kassandra surviving the fall isn't a plot twist, you know you did immediately. Alfred being a templar doesn't make him Evil, because both sides are technically good. And Julius being the father of understanding is a bad plot twist not because it fell flat, but because it makes no sense. Why would the Pius christian templar order still worship pagan Julius as their father of understanding? Origins ruined a lot of the previous set up lore for this game.

  • @raviehd5674
    @raviehd5674 2 года назад +11

    Alfred is a religious fanatic. He destroys the order even though they want the same thing because they are pagan and he hates them for it. After Eivor saves his life he orders her death as well because she doesn't convert to Christianity.
    So while it does not seem to make sense to destroy an organisation only to immediately start another one with the same agenda, it does make sense if you look at it from a religious point of view.
    The Knights Templar of AC1 and from then on don't care about the religious beliefs of their members (some even appear to be atheists) but Aldred makes it clear that he believes peace and prosperity can only be achieved if all of mankind believes in Jesus Christ, a believe that was standart at the time and is sadly still around in some parts of the world (looking at the "American taliban" here).

      But, that isn’t true. Playing through Assassin’s Creed Valhalla tells us The Father of Understanding is a title granted to an Isu. A group of three Isu made a Triad in times of fire need. Jupiter, Minerva and Juno made the final triad. Being The Father of Understanding, The Voice, and The Mother respectively.

    1 - was that even a plot twist? I think everyone knew that from the beginning
    2 - that was one of the best plot twists ever lol
    3 - that was obvious too, maybe you are just too blind or sth
    4 - I don't know why it's bad, what's wrong with that lol
    5 - Kassandra/Alexios are literally demigods, why is that weird they survived that? Honestly this list is 100% forced
    6 - don't know why it's bad either
    7 - ok, this one is bad, I'll give you that
    8 - and for the 3rd time I don't know what is bad in that
    9 - that was one of the best plot twists too
    10 - and this one too

    I liked the twist with pythagoras. Why.
    Its not an assassins creed game
    Its a classic greek tragedy. Featuring demigods, not mortals as our heroes.
    Since the ISU are even longer dead and it wouldnt make sense to make kassandra a child of one, what better than a legendary figure who has lived long past his time? Of apparently a strong isu bloodline?
    In ancient greek stories almost everyone was a child of a god if they were a hero in a major story (save exceptions like Orpheus who just sang really well and Jason who instead simply had the favor of the gods while medea his ex wife was the demigod instead)

  • @medafan53

    5:55 It is pointed out on TV Tropes that the game does, to an extent, explain how you survive; as you unlock more synch points, implicitly drawing closer to what Kassandra was like, you remove fall damage, meaning you can leap from any hight and survive, even though anyone you knock off these same ledges with the Spartan Kick, will die. We can assume from this that Kassandra and Alexios, who, since they have the same bloodline, presumably have this ability from the start, and that it unlocking through synch points is just Layla's mind accepting she can make these leaps, meaning it makes perfect sense that they survived the fall.

    They pretty much screwed everything up. After Desmond, I'm sure they couldn't find a someone to replace him so they pretty much had you play as 3 abstergo clients and 2 unknown Assassins clients. Pretty much Liberations is from a ancestor of a unknown test who died in the 80s and origins you're just obtaining from 2 really dead 1st assassins (hidden ones). Syndicate, Rogue, and unity you're playing as ancestors of people we don't even know. pretty much normies who don't care at all. The Juno story was dropped thanks to a comic nobody reads. Which she did make an appearance in a dlc in odyssey. Her last appearance in the modern times was Syndicate. I'm sure Basim is going to be the main villain now. Also they might bring back Desmond and layla maybe as Adam and Eve. Feels like it's been really a long time since the Ezio saga to where we are now.

This has been stated since the first game when Altairs mentor mentioned that Jesus used the apple to turn water to wine and how it’s been known they have inspired people to worship them through religion and while creating mythological beasts is kind of weird it makes sense when these people can create humans through genetic tampering with primates also not every single Cryptid in the history of man is a isu beast please do your research instead of appealing to a demographic, Also one last thing got a love how in that final part of your video when yall mentioned that every character has to be a reincarnation of a isu when you said in the video that they basically forgot about the sages That’s kind of an inconsistency
