Thank you very much. I love your videos. My understanding for osteopathy gets much better with your help. I am so happy for finding this channel.
Do you have any Tipps for treatment babies with KISS Syndrom? I know I should not go with with too much intention into it.
Maybe you can make a video about it ;)
What is your opinion in mobilization or manipulation the neck of a baby.
I also ask for my son.
Sorry English is not my first language.
Thx for your help.
thanks Prof M. and glad you liked the videos. With KISS, i just googled it to see what it was, (Kinetic Imbalances due to Suboccipital Strain for anyone else who also hadnt heard of it). That's a chiropractic diagnosis but if I translate it into what Osteopaths would look at, it would be a case of examining the baby and if any problems were found in the upper neck then treating that area but also addressing the rest of the body as well and not treating in isolation. It would also be a case of trying to work out why the baby had the upper neck problems for example was it due to trauma during the birth process, was it an in-utero moulding issue (i.e. extended time in one position whilst in the womb) or some other cause or causes as that helps the treatment be more effective . With regard to your question of mobilization or manipulation of the neck of a baby, my personal opinion is never and that's also what I teach my students. However, I know some chiropractors may disagree with that so just to clarify, this is my opinion which is based on my experience and training but equally I dont claim to know why or how others professions work and so my opinion isnt a criticism of how they go about things - just an expression of how I go about it. - J x
