I do this naturally since I cant get past a single enemy without fighting it. But I always keep 1 of each alive so I can still have friends. One time my little brother played on my account and killed the last of the ancient knights and I was very sad
You do it until you wipe out all of their kind until you find there is only one giant knight left and you feel despair that he is the only one left. Your friend. He will always be there for you. Unless you kill him then he will never spawn again. He must remain. I must protect him. Then your brother plays on your account and kills him. Wiping your last friend off the face of the planet forever.
@@VictorLuneI think that the angel-looking enemies in the undead crypt won't stop re spawning on the way to velstadt's room, however, you can simply kill the hollows 12 times so they don't ring the bell
The first time I beat dark souls 2 on base game I had over 200 hours on the character. Not because I was trying to complete everything, but because I got lost so much and died so often that I just kept killing everything closes to my bonfire until I got to the next one. By the end the game was empty. Then I locked myself out of 100% the ivory crown by not collecting 50 knight souls and had to beat the ivory king on new game +++ with the bonfire thing. Because I accidentally skipped all the dlcs on base game. After 500 hours I 100% the game.
The true solution to dark souls two’s story “Oh poor me this doomed wretched world is trapped in an eternal cycle and every time it loops back in on itself as the new king rises, it degrades and falls apart. Oh what ever will I do- oh right, I killed everyone so now no one can take the mantle of king and restart the loop, neat.”
This was so fun to do, next time i try i should record it too lol xD never really thought of uploading anything like this till now but to be fair it is a great way to progress through the game as well as learn the environment, plus you can always just reapawn everything if you wanted to. Playing like this seems to give enough souls to level rather evenly throughout the game and honestly, as someone who just likes to play through these games blind it was a great feature imo.
i think i did something like this on my first playthrough, its a lot less difficult killing everything until it stops spawning than running through the area trying to avoid damage
I basically did it „accidentally” trying to play mage as a 12 year old who never played another fromsoft game and had no idea putting everything into int and spell slots wasnt such a good idea
This is how my first playthrough went, it was my first souls game and after I was rerunning the same area over and over because I kept dying at the end, I noticed some enemies stopped spawning. Thus my journey of killing every enemy until they stopped spawning began 😂
theres another guy that did this before iirc, only on twitch to like 4 people at a time with no flashg announcement and no commentary. i respect that a lot more honestly.
I did this once, then ran through the entire game with a torch , simulating a Olympic torch run
That's fucking hilarious
I was so bad my first play through I did this to a lot of the areas 😂
This is real? You only have to kill the enemies 3 times?
@@bigdadddyd123 12 times each ( only very few enemies don't respawn after 1 kill)
Ngl you could do that without killing them in the other games but here you dont get s when opening doors and some of the hitboxes are disjointed
Bro i was just thinking about how long this would take like 2 days ago.. that is nuts 👍
yeh of course dude, this is your simulation!
Nobody has ever thought of this before except you and him.

This is the way my dad just decided to play the game. Like no challenge run or nothing it's just how he rolls.
its technically the safest way to no death run tbh
Same
Can't move on until all enemies stay dead

my guy did the genocide route 💀
ds2 is good tho. now doing this challenge on the NG+ states thats a whole different thing
Do you think Chara will spawn at the end too ?

Makes sense since sans and the final boss are both skeletons
YYYOOOOO!! New sans fight?

If you are part of the Company of Champions Covenant the enemies keep respawning

Madlad. I wish you luck in this!
That actually sounds like a nice, chilled playthrough... Not in any particular rush, just killing every enemy you can until they stop spawning.
Doors of Pharros reminds us that sometime we must make peace with our demons
"... but nobody came" ahh darksouls run
Congrats on the latest videos FINALLY getting some recognition
Yeah wow. I’ve noticed them in my random scrolls recently. Found out they had just started blowing up, especially on recent videos
"Link... Be on your guard. Ganon's power grows...it rises to its peak under the hour of the blood moon. By its glow, the aimless spirits of monsters that were slain in the name of the light return to flesh."
I've done that before. There are a couple of enemies that don't despawn.
Those stone guy's who drop titanite slabs in Vendricks' castle.
@slappybigalow8971 Reindeer in the outskirts too
@@melvindoo6955the reindeers do despawn thankfully, that was the only way I managed to get to the boss with enough estus to beat it lmao
YOU MAD GENIUS! I need to tune in for this!
This is pretty much how I always run Dark Souls 2, farming stones, weapons and armor as I go leaving nothing to stab, bonk or shoot me in the back
I've attempted the same thing I call it the purge run
Playing DS2 for that long poor guy. Hope he’s OK.🙏🙏🙏🙏
I love that I have been rly into dark souls lately but followed you because of your skits and have now come across this gem

Yeah I've done that too, the game world feels odd when it's completely empty of life

i though this was a skit but the madlad is actually doing it, good luck with dragon aeire
Bro doesn't know some enemies will always spawn.
Other than invading NPCs are there other enemies that respawn indefinitely?
@@VictorLuneI think that the angel-looking enemies in the undead crypt won't stop re spawning on the way to velstadt's room, however, you can simply kill the hollows 12 times so they don't ring the bell

You can still turn pretty much everywhere to a desolate wasteland
this isn't a challenge run this is just how i beat dark souls 2
You'd be surprised but doing this will allow you to reach an insane amount of souls compared to running through the game like normal.
Dark Souls II is the secret to having your Sin forgiven
Woah!
Followed
As an avid DS2 player, I applaud your efforts.
You followed in the footsteps of myself and the few who dare tread the path of cleansing. Come. Join us in our despair.
So, to do this you need to die at least 12 times, which means, that you to, gonna despawn
I can really appreciate the "Suffering" that comes from doing challenges like this.

Enemies not respawning is honestly such a crazy thing for DS2 to have it’s literally the game’s only saving grace
Insanity is a slope.
For this man its a nosedive!
The nostalgia seeing that shrine
You are mistaking peace with quiet.
Never done this all at once, but have done every multiplayer-enabled area individually between invades.
I've done this. It is a grinding experience. Once the zones are empty they become depressing and a bit surreal.
Bro looks like Rodrick from diary of a wimpy kid. Cool idea though.
The first time i learned this...the slaughter began, a level of power never achieved before or ever since..

I was like" oh shit!" When i realized it wasn't a bit
Hell, yes! I was thinking about how to do this in Elden Ring. Love it :)
Despawning enemies is the only way I got through to the old Dragonslayer boss
You are literally the antithesis of my style of dark souls 2 lol

He didn’t bear the curse; he was the curse.
why have I been recommended this like 10 months too late.
Dude is just doing the Gael playthrough. The one where he ends the world by killing everything in it

Basically it is what you are supposed to do before taking the Throne. "A true monarch carries the weight of their souls."
Ohhh so this is the guy behind the slaughter
I did this during my first playthrough. Not on purpose, I just was really bad at the game.
Imagine doing this to then join the covenant of champions
I can’t even imagine how much of a pain in the ass this would be, I cleared out small areas a few times and even that was incredibly tedious.

Wasn't it only a few enemies in each area who would despawn
Wow this completely simplifies the game by just turning into a grind.
