You want to know why the Joe Rogan podcast is so immensely popular? Joe Rogan offers a platform for educated and life educated people to come on, and let let their knowledge flow, without judgement or political ideologies to control their flow. The viewer is allowed to form their own opinions due to the raw un-edited footage. And when Joe has two majorly educated guests on, he just sits back and listens. He tries to chip in and reference it to current events as the average viewer would, but he lets these two giants talk. That is why this podcast is a god damn gift. Cherish it.
Nailed it 🔨
Power to the people
Yep, and it is even more powerful for the reasons you mention when you compare Joe's approach to the disgusting behaviour and attitudes of other 'interviewers' who interview Peterson (e.g. Kathy Newman, Channel 4)... just let the intellectuals discuss their thoughts, without judgement, censorship or twisting of words, perfect.
The best Joe Rogan podcasts are the ones where he has a guest(s) that are smarter than him. Rogan is such a natural interviewer. I think he just has such a curious mind, it allows him to ask honest questions. No gotcha questions.
That's why I liked this episode so much. He wasn't versed in the research at times when they were talking so he just took it in. He was respectfully letting discussion happen. Not trying to meditate based on his ( or a corporations') point of view.
Google is automatically sorting the comments for this specific video by newest first by default. This and only this video. What is Google's motive here? Are they trying to shut down discussion on the topics raised in this video?
I suggest you copy and paste this comment to keep the message at the top so people remember to sort by top comment
just click 'Sort by' and select Top comments
u can change view setting in start of comment section. nonetheless .. this video automatically bring newest comments first unlike other RUclips videos where popular comments are viewed first.
sure seems fishy . fuck youtube. lets create a new freedom site.
Glad I’m not the only one to notice this. Definitely abnormal but “probably” not malicious
Yeah even I noticed it first time on any video that I have seen on youtube, I had to change the setting to see the top comments first.
@@christopherruiz3173 This is the only video that automatically reverts the comments to newest first and you somehow decide to give them the out and say there "probably" isn't malicious intent. its just cuz ur comments are sorted by newest first, u can change that at to top comments (thats how i saw ur comment).

Peterson is an idiot. Everything he says is just flashy things that sound fancy but is completely unsubstantiated. Hes totally a Gish Galloper. Much like Ben Shapiro he sneaks in premises so quickly that he asserts as if they are certain that he can get you to whatever conclusion he wants you to before you get a chance to think if the premise is sound. I won’t respond to that much of what he said for the reason that I don’t have time, but things like he says that IQ is the number 1 predictor of success. It’s not. I just was reading interviews with the creator of the IQ test where he talked about how he conducted 35 year long experiments and was very disappointed that IQ did not predict success and that people with high IQs had completely average lives. Of the people he considered studying he actually had two future Scientific Nobel Prize winners take his IQ test but he didn’t study them because they hadn’t scored high enough. Peterson is likely talking about the Bell Curve which should automatically be disqualifying of your opinion because the science in that book is completely flawed as any genuine psychologist will tell you. Read Stephen Jay Gould’s critique “curveball” if you want to see all the ways in which Charles Murray misconducts and fails to understand his science. Also bill C-16 does none of the things he talks about. He talks about it forcing you to use gender pronouns of another persons choice. That is no where in the bill. Go read the bill for yourself. It’s not there. All it does is add transgendered people the civil rights bill saying that they can’t be denied service or employment just on the grounds of being transgendered. It also says that they are recognized as a legal group so that threats of genocide towards them is considered a crime. It says absolutely nothing about pronouns and Peterson has made his whole career lying about this. And I use to be a fan of his when I first heard about this issue. I completely agreed with him that it all sounded like a huge overstep of government and a violation of rights. Then I went and read the law for myself after being in an argument with someone and was completely disillusioned
Sam Spencer I don’t care for his politics so much, and you used two reasons to justify his idiocy. In my opinion he’s helped many people redirect their lives (including mine), and I’m grateful for his knowledge. You can’t expect a man to be a jack of all trades. I’ll find value in his specialized work, and not let his work be devalued by his other shortcomings.
Sam Spencer you’re really not paying attention are you? Is it because you can’t grasp what he’s saying or are you being blatantly ignorant to it? If you don’t understand, keep listening & eventually it will click. If it’s blatant ignorance, keep listening & hopefully the good in you will allow it to click.
who else watching this because it still applies today? more so than ever?

The crazy thing is if you really listen to Dr Peterson, he aligns himself mostly as a centrist and yet he’s portrayed as far right in the media. The definitions for left and right are changing
Or the media understands that calling anyone "far right" is an effective smear tactic regardless of where they actually stand
Boe Jiden That’s not what happened though. Peterson himself says in one of his lectures that he was baffled how the Right aligned with him. He wasn’t targeted by liberal media. He was taken under the wing by the extreme Right.
Either way, whether through media and crazy SJWs, or the Far-right Neo-Nazi types, it robs people of knowledge by pigeonholing Peterson into a “side.”
I’m a lifelong Democrat, social liberal. I also own multiple guns and have no intention of letting them be taken. And I think the idea that we open the doors to the “tired, poor, and hungry,” and still expect to have free healthcare is ridiculous. The countries liberals tout as working the universal healthcare issue is a perfect example. Those countries don’t have open doors. Homogeneous societies have less conflict and are capable of balancing taxes, incomes, and care for citizens. It’s not racist. It’s rational.
When “my side of the aisle” gets more worked up over illegal immigrant kids without a toothbrush, even though they came a 1000 miles through the desert without one, but the same liberals don’t give a flat-fuck about the kids here that are nutritionally deficient or live in danger, it shows exactly how much they care about things.
Don’t ever assume one side is crazier. We are the fucking people! Both sides are running games on us from Washington. But we are too caught up in conflict. Perfect way to gain more governmental power-turn the population against one another.

It makes me very happy that even after 4 years people are still watching and commenting on this. It just shows how informative and important these podcasts are.
My thoughts exactly! 🤗
Agreed, rewatching this gave me insight into just how accurate these warnings are. Especially in terms of Elon Musk and twitter.
@@Zara-tt7rh it truly is impressive and i respect these guys even more
Agreed, but it’s pretty annoying how the comment section is flooded with bots which I think is intentional considering youtubes bias against anything that doesn’t support current progressive leftists narratives.
This is my third time watching this. Just like a movie I'm still finding points that I missed before, or have a new perspective of.
Imagine a media landscape dedicated to intelligent, thought-provoking, long-form, civil conversations such as these. Imagine every single medium containing discourse such as this instead of talking heads yelling over each other while someone says "we're almost out of time". Imagine television consisting more of this and less of the Kardashians, The Bachelor, and American Idol.

David Shewbert They follow the money for the most part. As more people withdraw their attention and viewership from certain kinds of content towards others, the latter will have more opportunity to pop up.
Happens in EVERY modern country other than the U.S. The UK, Newzealand, Canada, Japan, even ZIMBABWE has talks like these daily on national T.V. - The U.S. is deprived of this and thus, we are here.
Yes what channel is is that on.we were put on the Earth to subdue it when are we going to talk about that
Don't have to imagine it. It's happening right now. You're here.
I am a Pole, my Nana told me many many stories from WW2, she was not educated at all because of the war, the knowledge she passed to me is basically similar to what Jordan is saying, so the question is who and why is trying to quiet this down???
Bret Weinstein is brilliant and his ideas truly compelling. So is Jordan Peterson and Joe’s questions and interjections raised very salient questions. Amazing chat. Thank you gentlemen! 👍🏻👏🇨🇦
Can we please have a part 2 once Jordan is back??
He is back now after everything that happened to him as well. It'd be the perfect time now.
He's back
Hope people realize how significant and informative this episode STILL is...
yeah this is fantastic

I couldn’t agree more. It almost makes me worry how much i agree with Peterson sometimes. None of my friends or family are are all that interested in at worry about politics/“the big issues” like me. Personally, I have no agenda or any ideologies that I can’t let go of. Not only did I feel desperate the last year or so on what is really true at all and if I should care, but I never heard anyone from either side tell me why I should be worried of the other. And I’m too smart for that. Now I wonder if I haven’t been unbiased or critical enough of JP, who isn’t another political pawn, just a media spin of things that work for them. But he doesn’t!
5 years ago? How late can I be? Joe I am always surpised, as well as pleased, that you are coming from the middle ground on most issues! Thank you, even though 5 years too late, tank you for this!
Good God! This podcast is by far one of the best of JRE!
I love how these guys are educators to their cores. Pretty much every time they say something where i’m clinging on for dear life so to not let it go over my head, they follow up with “i’ll give you an example”, and i’m like “THANK YOU”!
Hahahaha this!
Oh man! Too true!
Don’t know how old you are but unfortunately most Professors aren’t like them I’ve had one actual educator in 3 years of Uni so far
@@Hunter-os5yx the difference between Professors and Teachers.
@@ikerivers1795 yes some professors are great researchers but terrible teachers as odd as that sounds.
Bret Weinstein is a great moderator for complex conversations. Jordan can be long-winded and hyperbolic so Bret is a good counter-anchor with how precisely he speaks.
I couldn't agree more, and the juxtaposition between his perspective and Jordan's is perfect.
@@XoJOHNoX96 Yea, I appreciate that he gives the devil his due on the subject of religion as an evolutionary heuristic.
@@DDeCicco personally the self awareness of all their intellectual beliefs and wisdoms and the limitations. They cap themselves of their intellectual limitations but still tack a whack at the topic.
@qwqert joe actually talked the least of the 3
I never heard of this bret guy but hes really smart, and jordan b. Peterson is a literal genius. And has anyone elso notice this is the least i have heard joe rogan talk on his own podcast. Hes a good podcaster and figure but he is just letting these 2 geniuses talk. This is a good one.
Bret truthfully isn't smart. He literally stated that Marx's critique of Capitalism is correct, but he went on to reaffirm an economically Liberal paradigm. And his reason for doing so was generated out of a complete misunderstanding of Marx's anthropology.
@@jackjak392 Hmm.. I'd argue that Bret is smart - but it depends on how you define being 'smart.' Perhaps he isn't as educated and knowledgeable of that particular topic of conversation, but to limit the measurement of intelligence to one topic is absurd. The 'smartest' man alive still wouldn't know everything there possibly is to know. He demonstrated understanding of many complex areas of thought that many people would struggle to comprehend.
@@g.br13ll3 Good job on the strawman! If he wasn't knowledgeable on the subject maybe he shouldn't have commented on it. I also rescind my prior statement, Bret is smart, but obviously for the entire conversation Bret was trying to make an appeal to leftists, and his reaffirmation of an economically Liberal paradigm is something that probably got a lot of them broiled up. I just don't see how you can accept Marx's criticisms of Capitalism and then proceed to fall back on that statement.
@@jackjak392 Lol. I don't study politics, I just thought there was subjectivity as opposed to objectivity in your remark about his intelligence. These three men literally emphasised the point of free speech in this video. Bret can make any comment he likes, just as you and I can. Informed or uninformed.. because who is to decide where the line is between uninformed and knowledgable? You? Lol. Truthfully, I can't argue with your politics, I'm still very new to the information. However, you took back the comment anyways so fair enough. Good day.
These are amazing, deep concepts that really engage. Awesome video
Over a million views in 2 days with over 10,000 comments yet this isn't trending according to RUclips.
Saw that too lol
Joshua Clark RUclips & Google are trash they want to try to silence anything that isn't left-wing propaganda.
It's not a diss track... Also is it just me or the Trending section on RUclips has been unbelievably shitty for the past 2 months or so?
The comments are always sorted by top-comments by default on my device, not on this video. I checked if something changed by trying the suggested videos, all are sorted by top-comment by default. This one here is always on newest comments by default, checked by reloadding multiple times after changing it to top-comments. Always reverts.
I never look at trending on my youtube home page just look at recommended from what I am subscribed to. I just took a look and I was shocked at what was supposedly trending:
'So a Bat flew into our house last night...',
'FIFA 18 | Official Ratings Reveal | Ft. Ronaldo, Griezmann, Alli, Muller',
'Roger Federer Goes Sneaker Shopping With Complex',
'NERDY NUMMIES SMART COOKIES (NEW) - NERDY NUMMIES',
'Kids Try Frozen Desserts From Around The World',
'Last Pair of Pants! | Watch me, Wednesday!',
'6 INCREDIBLE Desserts In One RIDICULOUS Ice Cream Sundae',
'PRIMARK HAUL,UNBOXING JEFREE X MANNY MUA COLLECTION & SHOPPNG DAY!!'
I think that's enough, and some of the view counts over time really don't make sense why they are trending. I mean, there are a couple of videos about the North Korean missile and Texas flooding but the majority of it is complete non-intellectual, mind numbing drivel. No wonder we are where we are.
*I just want to make an addition. I've just clicked on one of the trending videos: 'Caitlyn Jenner Reveals the Truth About Her Relationship With the Kardashians | Good Morning Britain'
RUclips says #18 on Trending the video currently has 632946 views, 1905 likes and 9865 dislikes and the videos comments are disabled by Good Morning Britain - ITV. I don't think any video with disabled comments should be eligible for trending.
This podcast clearly meets the criteria for trending. Guess we all just need to spread it amongst our own social circles as much as we can.
These two actually deserve the title of professor
5 years ago its crazy how spot on they were and are.
3 hours of mind-blowing gems 💎 Thank you for putting this on RUclips!
When the university doesn’t see the irony in canceling a panel on wether free speech is being taken away by universities
Whatsup
There should be a university for all professors kicked out of their campus for this kind of "Mal-practice" you would probably have the finest university in the world.
I love Jordan Peterson! He always brings a new perspective to the table, and somehow I always feel motivated in life after listening to him.
Thanks for bringing us back together YT algorithm.
I learned more about the world in 2 hours then a lifetime listening to both left and right wing "infomercials".
Are you suggesting that these folks don't also have their own biases?

This is beautiful, all 3 bring a unique perspective to a common topic..JP brings an artistic perspective, Bret brings a mechanical perspective and JR brings a grounded perspective. In my personal opinion this podcast will go down as one of the best.
I agree this was a very enjoyable and insightful listen
won't even get on to trending. just disgraceful
One of the best shows thus far for sure amazing !!!
