    You want to know why the Joe Rogan podcast is so immensely popular? Joe Rogan offers a platform for educated and life educated people to come on, and let let their knowledge flow, without judgement or political ideologies to control their flow. The viewer is allowed to form their own opinions due to the raw un-edited footage. And when Joe has two majorly educated guests on, he just sits back and listens. He tries to chip in and reference it to current events as the average viewer would, but he lets these two giants talk. That is why this podcast is a god damn gift. Cherish it.

      Yep, and it is even more powerful for the reasons you mention when you compare Joe's approach to the disgusting behaviour and attitudes of other 'interviewers' who interview Peterson (e.g. Kathy Newman, Channel 4)... just let the intellectuals discuss their thoughts, without judgement, censorship or twisting of words, perfect.

      The best Joe Rogan podcasts are the ones where he has a guest(s) that are smarter than him. Rogan is such a natural interviewer. I think he just has such a curious mind, it allows him to ask honest questions. No gotcha questions.

      That's why I liked this episode so much. He wasn't versed in the research at times when they were talking so he just took it in. He was respectfully letting discussion happen. Not trying to meditate based on his ( or a corporations') point of view.

      Peterson is an idiot. Everything he says is just flashy things that sound fancy but is completely unsubstantiated. Hes totally a Gish Galloper. Much like Ben Shapiro he sneaks in premises so quickly that he asserts as if they are certain that he can get you to whatever conclusion he wants you to before you get a chance to think if the premise is sound. I won’t respond to that much of what he said for the reason that I don’t have time, but things like he says that IQ is the number 1 predictor of success. It’s not. I just was reading interviews with the creator of the IQ test where he talked about how he conducted 35 year long experiments and was very disappointed that IQ did not predict success and that people with high IQs had completely average lives. Of the people he considered studying he actually had two future Scientific Nobel Prize winners take his IQ test but he didn’t study them because they hadn’t scored high enough. Peterson is likely talking about the Bell Curve which should automatically be disqualifying of your opinion because the science in that book is completely flawed as any genuine psychologist will tell you. Read Stephen Jay Gould’s critique “curveball” if you want to see all the ways in which Charles Murray misconducts and fails to understand his science. Also bill C-16 does none of the things he talks about. He talks about it forcing you to use gender pronouns of another persons choice. That is no where in the bill. Go read the bill for yourself. It’s not there. All it does is add transgendered people the civil rights bill saying that they can’t be denied service or employment just on the grounds of being transgendered. It also says that they are recognized as a legal group so that threats of genocide towards them is considered a crime. It says absolutely nothing about pronouns and Peterson has made his whole career lying about this. And I use to be a fan of his when I first heard about this issue. I completely agreed with him that it all sounded like a huge overstep of government and a violation of rights. Then I went and read the law for myself after being in an argument with someone and was completely disillusioned

      Sam Spencer I don’t care for his politics so much, and you used two reasons to justify his idiocy. In my opinion he’s helped many people redirect their lives (including mine), and I’m grateful for his knowledge. You can’t expect a man to be a jack of all trades. I’ll find value in his specialized work, and not let his work be devalued by his other shortcomings.

    • @agreetobeagnostic1322
      @agreetobeagnostic1322 3 года назад

      Sam Spencer you’re really not paying attention are you? Is it because you can’t grasp what he’s saying or are you being blatantly ignorant to it? • @amyjkr
      @amyjkr 4 года назад +14

      Boe Jiden That’s not what happened though. Peterson himself says in one of his lectures that he was baffled how the Right aligned with him. He wasn’t targeted by liberal media. He was taken under the wing by the extreme Right.
      Either way, whether through media and crazy SJWs, or the Far-right Neo-Nazi types, it robs people of knowledge by pigeonholing Peterson into a “side.”
      I’m a lifelong Democrat, social liberal. I also own multiple guns and have no intention of letting them be taken. And I think the idea that we open the doors to the “tired, poor, and hungry,” and still expect to have free healthcare is ridiculous. The countries liberals tout as working the universal healthcare issue is a perfect example. Those countries don’t have open doors. Homogeneous societies have less conflict and are capable of balancing taxes, incomes, and care for citizens. It’s not racist. It’s rational.
      When “my side of the aisle” gets more worked up over illegal immigrant kids without a toothbrush, even though they came a 1000 miles through the desert without one, but the same liberals don’t give a flat-fuck about the kids here that are nutritionally deficient or live in danger, it shows exactly how much they care about things.
      Don’t ever assume one side is crazier. We are the fucking people! Both sides are running games on us from Washington. But we are too caught up in conflict. Perfect way to gain more governmental power-turn the population against one another.

Imagine every single medium containing discourse such as this instead of talking heads yelling over each other while someone says "we're almost out of time". Imagine television consisting more of this and less of the Kardashians, The Bachelor, and American Idol.

      I couldn’t agree more. It almost makes me worry how much i agree with Peterson sometimes. None of my friends or family are are all that interested in at worry about politics/“the big issues” like me. Personally, I have no agenda or any ideologies that I can’t let go of. Not only did I feel desperate the last year or so on what is really true at all and if I should care, but I never heard anyone from either side tell me why I should be worried of the other. And I’m too smart for that. Now I wonder if I haven’t been unbiased or critical enough of JP, who isn’t another political pawn, just a media spin of things that work for them. But he doesn’t!

      Bret truthfully isn't smart. He literally stated that Marx's critique of Capitalism is correct, but he went on to reaffirm an economically Liberal paradigm. And his reason for doing so was generated out of a complete misunderstanding of Marx's anthropology.

    • @g.br13ll3
      @g.br13ll3 6 месяцев назад

      @@jackjak392 Hmm.. I'd argue that Bret is smart - but it depends on how you define being 'smart.' Perhaps he isn't as educated and knowledgeable of that particular topic of conversation, but to limit the measurement of intelligence to one topic is absurd. The 'smartest' man alive still wouldn't know everything there possibly is to know. He demonstrated understanding of many complex areas of thought that many people would struggle to comprehend.

    • @jackjak392
      @jackjak392 6 месяцев назад

      @@g.br13ll3 Good job on the strawman! If he wasn't knowledgeable on the subject maybe he shouldn't have commented on it. I also rescind my prior statement, Bret is smart, but obviously for the entire conversation Bret was trying to make an appeal to leftists, and his reaffirmation of an economically Liberal paradigm is something that probably got a lot of them broiled up. I just don't see how you can accept Marx's criticisms of Capitalism and then proceed to fall back on that statement.

      I never look at trending on my youtube home page just look at recommended from what I am subscribed to. I just took a look and I was shocked at what was supposedly trending:
      'So a Bat flew into our house last night...',
      'FIFA 18 | Official Ratings Reveal | Ft. Ronaldo, Griezmann, Alli, Muller',
      'Roger Federer Goes Sneaker Shopping With Complex',
      'NERDY NUMMIES SMART COOKIES (NEW) - NERDY NUMMIES',
      'Kids Try Frozen Desserts From Around The World',
      'Last Pair of Pants! | Watch me, Wednesday!',
      '6 INCREDIBLE Desserts In One RIDICULOUS Ice Cream Sundae',
      'PRIMARK HAUL,UNBOXING JEFREE X MANNY MUA COLLECTION & SHOPPNG DAY!!'
      I think that's enough, and some of the view counts over time really don't make sense why they are trending. I mean, there are a couple of videos about the North Korean missile and Texas flooding but the majority of it is complete non-intellectual, mind numbing drivel. No wonder we are where we are.
      *I just want to make an addition. I've just clicked on one of the trending videos: 'Caitlyn Jenner Reveals the Truth About Her Relationship With the Kardashians | Good Morning Britain'
      RUclips says #18 on Trending the video currently has 632946 views, 1905 likes and 9865 dislikes and the videos comments are disabled by Good Morning Britain - ITV. I don't think any video with disabled comments should be eligible for trending.
      This podcast clearly meets the criteria for trending. Guess we all just need to spread it amongst our own social circles as much as we can.
