No, but I definitely will! It sounds amazing and what you said reminds me of the feeling when I read "goodbye, things". So thanks for telling us about it.
I've read the book and it is *the* only book that moved me to clean, declutter and organize my house. There was a line in the book that said: _you don't clean because things are dirty you clean because_ ....For some reason that line hit me.
Hello Joel, I've been meaning to type a message to converse with you, as I've been following your videos for some time. Your videos are resonating more and more with me, and I like your gentle simplistic approach to just being. The reference to gentle being so important as there's still a lot of brash ego out there in the collective. I felt when you mentioned about "cleaning your heart" it is a link to showing a true reaction to affirming you've got out of your headspace and are living from a place of your heart. This is something that I'm still working on....to get out of the headspace more routinely. Have a lovely evening. Best wishes.
Thank you so much for your message Tom, very grateful to hear your thoughts. I have been deepening my compassion for a while now and do feel like I understand my ego a lot more (still there!) I love your use of the word gentle, definitely something that is underestimated. Best wishes to you too!
Loved the message in this video on how we should treat the things around us like how we want to treat ourselves. And I also really enjoyed your filming style, great message with your little humor here and there haha. You got yourself a new subscriber! Keep up the grind!
This is great. I'm going to check the book out. I like the part about slowing the cleaning down, giving the objects the respect. And I guess when you only own what you love or need it goes hand in hand.
I am so glad I found this video, I googled the book and just read the introduction and it's like the piece I've been missing on my spiritual journey, I don't consider myself a Buddhist or minimalist, I believe in the masters and regularly read Brian Weiss' books and those beliefs have changed so much, except for the cleaning/decluttering! I've always viewed it as an exhausting chore and seeing it from a whole new perspective is so refreshing and motivating :) I'm going to purchase this book asap, thank you for making this video (and also for linking it to reddit, that's how I found it!!)
So happy to of helped you to find the book! I was very similar to you, would see cleaning as an exhausting chore but it feels completely different channelling it in this new way and noticing the positive side of it a lot more! Hope the book arrives soon and serves you great.
Thank you for watching! Would love to hear your thoughts below. Have you read the book?

You're very welcome, thanks for the 'Goodbye, things' recommendation. I will definitely look for that.

I also recently read this book and I had very similar feelings 👍🏻 Nice video!
Thanks bud.
I've read the book myself and can really identify with every word you've said. Excellent read.
Thanks Justin, I agree, excellent read!
