    This is pretty extreme, but I remember when we were displaced from a fire that our home was being repaired so we were living in a hotel because all of our stuff was in a storage.. we would go back amd stay the night at our home some nights and all we had was our inflatable mattress and blankets in the center of the room.. mind you we were a family of 6 sleeping in 1 room for the night, it felt so nice, fresh and everyone enjoyed eaxhtothers company so much

    I'm a simplicist and my simple mind and lifestyle help me a lot in navigating my confused self through life. Kudos to those who know how to utilize and appreciate whatever they have before they get more stuff to function. In the world full of different people, ways of thinking, needs and wants, that's a rarety.

      Totally resonate. Extreme minimalism = carving my unique path, staying true to myself, and dodging the never-ending consumer race. Recognizing that most jobs and obligations center around creating, consuming pointless products or services. Back to basics, I'm still in the loop, but hopefully, a tad less than before.

    i would add a work desk, chair, monitor, ergonomic sofa. i would also add more dishes, and wash them quickly in dishwasher. other than that , this is good.

    minimalism comes very easy for rich people like you, who have rich friends. for normal people, we need to keep stuff to make sure that we don't need to buy it again in emergency. so u r v privileged

      I don't think I'll ever be ready. I have scissors in almost every room in case I need to cut something. I have extra towels in case family comes over and decides to shower. And it goes on...

    I don't own a lot of things. But every day I see that there is something to sell and to get rid off.
    I like your life style. When I travel, i need only 8 kg backpack, no matter for how long I travel. So my goal is to have not more than 1 car of items (including the winder wheels).

      Minimalism is not owning nothing. You can still have some furniture and possessions. Minimalism is an intentional life not a deprivation life.

      @@trekkie-catMinimalism and Extreme minimalism is very different. Extreme minimalism is like a nomad life, owning almost nothing, able to pack and move in 30 minutes or less. We have a facebook group of 13000 people who are or who are trying to be Extreme-minimalists😊

      @@minicalm comfort…. Also have herniated disc’s in my neck and back from a fall several years ago and even though I love laying on flat surface, I have trouble long term laying that way. Inflatable is semi-comfortable though

    How do you deal with the echo? Do you hear your neighbors? Do they hear you (talk, walk)?

      The echo was quite unusual at first, but I've grown accustomed to it over time. The neighbors upstairs are very quiet, and the building has good insulation, so I haven't received any complaints during the days I've lived in this minimalist space.

    I always find that when I am away from home.
    I live as an extreme minimalist [and still decluttering lol] with my toddler.
    It is possible.

      I've already decluttered my personal possessions to the maximum, but I can't force minimalism on my family or go against their wishes for collective furniture and belongings. It's about finding a balance that works for everyone.
