the 5th project im doing with ur tutorials. first i made the wood carving text, then the glossy text, then the realistic chain, then the colliding planets and now this :) your tutorials are amazing
use your Tissue Tools, then click the dual mesh. then you will see a options for dual mesh bottom left of your screen, there will be an option for quad faces or triangles click triangles, then everything should work out.

In my version 2.80 the tissue mesh isnt included. I downloaded and installed it. At this point, where I have to click "dual mesh" it says: Traceback Error. What can I do?? EDIT: click Convert to dual mesh instead of dual mesh

A very good tut as always. I wondered if there is a way to get the mesh tissue add on into version 2.76? I have a lot of problems with 2.79 on my desktop,so most of the time I use 2.76.

I am using blender 2.93.5 and I am stuck at mesh tissue please help I enable the add on and while selecting the icosphere or screen i did enable dual mesh and it's not doing exactly doing the tutorial-wise.. I am stuck at the dual mesh I did exactly as seen in the video and i am stuck while selecting the whole geometry in edit mode i applied dual mesh and its creating a mesh with a weird abnormal pattern please help me..

Great stuff! - This use of the tissue addon is a little hard to understand for me: what does it mean... dual mesh seems to average the count of the sides somehow (tris and quads to hex)...? - so thats what dual mesh means...!
I am fairly new to blender and I'm trying to do the same honeycomb mesh but for a rectagular mic (something like an aea-r44). How can I straighten the mesh after the Tissue Tools -> Dual Mesh step since I cannot rotate?
i made this in previous version of blender, but using 2.90.1 im struggling with the tissue tool, either the top is a complete mess, even with triangles as the source face, or im able to fix the top but the bottom half stays as rectangles

duel mesh not working in blender 2.9. in blender 2.9, press N to open the menu, select EDIT, open TISSUE TOOLS, select Duel Mesh and it does something crazy. anyone figure this out let me know please. for now I will move to something else.

For those of you having problems with Tissue addon in Blender 2.8. Don't use it! Download and install new version. git.io/JvN06 Instead of using Dual Mesh button use: Convert to Dual Mesh. After that follow tutorial as normal. EDIT: I couldn't install Numba module but the addon work fine without it.

hit the N key to bring up the tool bar in the top right of the main screen, go to edit and you will see the tissue tools option
