Just got mine last week and it’s absolutely awesome
Are you still using it or got something new?
@@aski1529 Yes I still use it with no issues. I use it to make battery packs for my rc rock crawler
Could I use the 38129 HP set for 12V and I have quite a bit of them and had been starting my car buy jumping it with this battery.
Yes👍🔋 ⚡💡
Cool spot welder. You need to up your game on building packs though. Cell spacers should always be used. And the nickel strip you're using is only meant for a 1p battery. Anything that has multiple parallel connections you should be using the type of nickel strip that connects one row of cells directly to another with a connection to every single cell.
Thanks for the advice. I've built many packs before without any issues. This one is just for backup power and small items. The way it was built is good enough.
🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩💯 💯 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍👍
Thx do you have e lipo pack you'd recommend or two wired together?
For the spot welder?
@@JavierCamacho yes
Tremendo de bueno!
What kind of battery are u using to supply the board ?
350 cca 12v lead acid. But you can go up to 800cca. I'll not use more than 600cca -650cca
The unit you are using's number is JQ-DHJ028 (H-PSOF-8-1)-REV1.4. But your link takes us to a unit that has a different number (JQ-DHJ028 (H-PSOF-8-1)-REV1.0). The last digit is different ????
Maybe they change it
Did Javier mention the battery which is powering the welder? Unfortunately we just see the welder circuit, but we learn nearly nothing about the black battery in the background. I ask because I have just bought the same welder and powered with a brand new Yuasa NP17-12I Pb 12V 17Ah it doesn't weld good. I guess that battery is not able to suppy enough current. So, anyone has a recommendation for the battery supplying the welder?
I'm usig a 12v lead acid car battery with a 400cca rating. You can go up to 800cca but to keep it safe don't go over 650cca-700cca
@@JavierCamacho Thank you, Javier!
My new Battery: Brand "NRG" 51913 AGM 22Ah, 360A, 12V, Price about 54€ (Germany) --> Super welds with the DHJ_02
@chrisb9841 hi do you have a video of you spot welding with this battery xx
Not at the moment, but will upload one soon
Does this one need modifications to perform better?
The spotwelder? You might want to use thicker cables.
Does the spot welder still work/ you recommend over the BIFRC or has it failed? Thanks
still using it!!
@@JavierCamacho brilliant thanks for the reply. Do you know is it can it be used with a 70ah / 620CCA car battery(is there a limit to avoid blowing the board?) I dont own any Lipos and it be easier to buy that than lipo and charger.
@@jamo9000 The max limit for the board (base on their description) is around 900a. Their's a guy here in Puerto Rico using a 800cca battery. I use a 400cca and I whished I bought something around 500 - 600.
Also, buy 2 boards just to be safe. I have 2 but still using the first one.
@@JavierCamacho Excellent advice. Thank you, I have a good price on a 70ah 640cca so will go for that. Thanks for your help Javier I'm going to go for the full compatible version includes battery terminals, XT60, EC5 connector and case. I'll grab a spare board too. This way I can try it out on one of those car jump starter packs too like perhaps the Baseus 1000A Peak (over rated im sure) 12,000mah pack which I will be purchasing and see the difference.
@@JavierCamacho Board arrived to UK from China in just 7 days. Tested out and very pleased. It's an impressive board. Only using with a 12000 mah Car starter type battery over EC5 connector and it comfortably welds 0.15mm pure Nickel and 0.1 Copper/0.1 Nickel sandwich style. After this performance I'm thinking there is zero need for me to grab the 70ah/620CCA car battery. I also got the purple style 99 gear board but this DHJ028 board is easier to use, performs better and stays cooler.
Thanks for the video and recommend.
@@LEONDELASIERRA1 no obstante debes tener precaución.
@@JavierCamacho boy usar una de 600cc o 500cc haber cual encuentro muchas gracias hermano y saludos desde Michoacan Mexico
What power settings are you using
Sorry i'm late for this. I normally just start at the lowest then move up until I find something that works.
Do you still use it or do you recommend something Else?
Still use it
@@JavierCamacho def getting 2 of these then and see how it goes
Hello. Can you help me with a code for the 6 pin part that is near ca litle coil L1 that is also near the P- ?
I have no idea how to help you with this. I haven't done anything to mine. I just got it out of the box, added the cables and use it. Are you modifying yours?
NCE 30H290
suggestion IRL40SC228
what is the thickest metal strip that it can do? copper, nickel, aluminum
Honestly I don't know.
i heard reviewers saying only up to 0.2mm, won’t do 0.3mm as it gets heats up very fast
not as advertised using cheap mosfet
not infineon mosfet
I gave up on this as it required far too much for my needs. Went with glitter 811a. Wish I went 811h but the 811a was able to do the copper nickel sandwich I required
@@al73rive heard a lot of crap about the glitter welder , but do you think its good?
@@aski1529811a or 811h....don't bother with the others
i just bought this gadget but sadly I can't use it because it not functioning
Maybe you got a bad one.
@@JavierCamachoyes, maybe its a factory defect
I have one. Worked great when tested but after that it would t even weld the cheap fake nickle strips that came with it. INONSISTANT AS F*^#!
Maybe your was damaged. Mine still works
