Ending this episode on a somewhat of a cliffhanger 😯 Not to jinx it, but I am continually impressed how far you've come in this journey, with many tense moments and struggles (including that tea body cleansing therapy at Blackrock Wellness Retreat, poor Will).
Our girl Mayasaurus is quickly becoming a PRO survivor girl Mayasaurus! 😊 And now for our tradiotional tips section: - Not sure why you didn't do that immediately while thawing the deer carcass, but to increase warmth from a fire (to not be freezing at least) you need to add more fuel. The best fuel for warmth is coal, it adds +20° immediately, and is a renewable resource found in caves. A stick adds +1°. See, right before actually getting to carving you added a few more sticks and that was enought to keep you warm. Bear in mind, it takes a short wait for the fire to reach the temps after adding a bunch of fuel. You can check your status screen of 'feels like' temp to gauge how much fuel needs to be added to reach above freezing temps. - Forging is a laborous process that needs planning and preparation. You need to find tools (a Hammer to forge, and preferably a Hacksaw to scavange scrap metal from objects in the world), plenty of coal to fire the forge to the required minimum degrees of 150, and plenty of scrap metal. You can look up how many scrap is required for improvised knife and hatched in your crafting list menu. You should also forge plenty (at least 10, I'd say) of arrowheads while at it, as the bow is your main weapon on Interloper (besides a rare find flaregun with a few shells). - Sometimes car visor's have mementos about places in the region. - To not scare animals by throwing the torch, you can go into inventory and drop it from there, it would be carefully placed on the gound without spooking potential prey.
Oh my god - I didn't realize that adding more fuel to a fire makes it hotter, but it makes so much sense! 😅 I'll keep that in mind and I'll definitely be checking car visors from now on. As always, thank you for the tips!
12:38 Another small moment here. Pay attention when you light a torch off another torch or fire, if you miss-click you're gonna lose a match. Hear the sound that a match striking makes there, you wasted a match, even though you held a button for milliseconds and didn't complete the process it still uses up a match.
Another hint. All that cold tea and coffee in your inventory can be warmed back up by setting them near (not on near) the fire then you can add them to your flask warm for later. I think you can only carry one type at a time in the flask though.
Really, really impressive that you've made it so far! It took me several attempts to make it even a few days.

🤯Whaaaat!? I had no idea you could do that, I'm definitely going to try that! Thank you!
23:10 - yup, it's moose spawn area mark :)
Yay! I knew it! 🙌
