I just did mines with the help of my brother. Easy install if you follow his directions. What I would do different is complete some of the process separately beforehand so it doesn't take so long as opposed to doing it all in one session. So, if you plan on doing this on the weekend, I would assemble the roof rack first but keep it loosely intact a couple days leading up to the weekend. Also tear down the interior like he did in the video Friday night. Then on the weekend assemble everything.
Do it your self. It's not that bad. Just commit. You do not have to drop entire ceiling. Watch multiple videos and cherry pick tips and info. Did it start to finish (10am-6pm) in less than a day. Had help placing on roof.
2021 is the same yes. We have some more stuff planned, but for now, we have the roof rack and a center console MOLLE panel www.victory4x4.com/product/VRAVCC.html
Does the perforated, vertical sheet on the rear end create a lot of wind noise/drag? Most of the other brands just have a rear bar, which seems more streamlined to me.
No the 2018 is a bolt top down there’s plastic tabs that cover the bolt points on top of the roof, if you have the factory roof rack the front/rear of the roof rack rails have covers that remove to reveal the bolts
Toyota rates the Rav4 roof with a factory rack at "Max load 165 lbs evenly distributed." Our rack itself can handle significantly more weight than that. All weight above 165lbs will be at your discretion as they are above Toyota's "recommended" capacities. If you need more information please contact us directly at info@victory4x4.com
Lol, I didn’t realize I had grab handles in my 2021 RAV4 until I watched your video.
Like the no drilling. Unlike Prinsu rack.
How much would this cost to get done in a shop? I feel like I’ll screw it up

I’d say 500 probably charge you 3 hours at custom labor

Just ordered 👍🏽
Great video, thank you for this.
I just bought a 2021. Will it work? Also any plans to make more stiff for the Rav4?

would the bracket just attach to the factory cross bar mounts for a 2019 LE? minus the rear bracket?
Please refer to step 4 on our installation instructions found here - www.victory4x4.com/mm5/installdocs/INSTALL_VRAV5RK.pdf
How is your roof rack with wind noise? How much wind noise does it produce?

It does not in our experience.
Selling the old TRD rack?
Hybrid rav?
For a regular 2021 XLE AWD, do you have to drop the headliner? The roof rails are different than that one.
all 5th generation RAV4's (2019-present) will require to drop the headliner. I have a 2019 RAV4 XLE gas and I had to do this.
@@chuckyuniza how difficult did you find the removal of headliner and installation?
What is the purpose of putting that on instead of the factory installed one? Is it just for looks?
Its modular. You can move the center bars around to specific needs. Its like having a flat bed basically.
Do you have an Australian supplier or ship to Australia?
Are the Flush Rails also need to be removed for the install? (2021 RAV4)
Can you clarify flush rails, please?
@@Victory4x4 its the rails that are lower to the roof "Flush SideRails". not like the adventure package that has raised siderails
Any response to this question. I have the ‘21 Xse with flush rails meaning there aren’t any existing rails.
@@rdietz87 yes the flush rails also need to be removed. As the rack utilize the same mounting holes.
Nice tech. Thx
Did you disconnect the car battery?
You can if you like.
Đo you know if the 2018 Rav4 requires the headliner to be accessed for installation as we?
We have not had a 2018 in the shop. Currently, we only offer a Roof Rack for the 5th Gen RAV4 (2019+).

@@zernid , thanks, I found out once I got into the install.
@@zernid @Roger Hagler thanks for the information
how much weight can this hold?

Is it possible to install on a rav4 with a panoramic sunroof?
No, it's not.
Does this fit a 2017 Jeep Compass trailhawk?
It does not.
does this work with the rav4 hybrid 2022?
we have not tested at this time.
@@Victory4x4 how about now? and do you have to seal the rest of the holes?
@@CheesyEZ were you able to confirm fit?
I lost interest at panel 4
I would Rock one of these but it’s $$$
If victory 4x4 wants to send me one to review would love to lol.
