2022 Hybrid RAV4 XLE AWD w/Sunroof here! Our Prinsu rack fit perfectly. In fact, we did not have to plug any extra holes. The rack mounted securely over our existing rail mounts. Be warned. Installation was not a cake walk. At one point I nearly gave up. We had to fully remove the rear headliner to remove an extra bolt on our stock rails located at the rear of the car. None of these bolts are very easy to access and you will easily fold or crease your headliner if not careful. Go slow. Properly pop out all of the tabs keeping the interior side panels in place. We oddly had to drill out the front bolt hole, not the back as they did in the video. Sunroof works great. Rack looks amazing. Just go slow, two people are preferred.
Do you have a suggestion as to how to prevent the Plusnut from turning once you get it in? I had to deal with these nuts on a Yakima rack a few years ago and ran into that problem where it would turn in the hole and I was unable to tighten it.
The supplied kit worked on my ladies Prinsu rack. I eventually grabbed my impact gun and a wrench to speed the process up. Next day we drove from California to Oregon and back and held up fine even through the rains. No leaks.
@@TroysHobbieshave you tried another shop? Also, does this mean that you’re only using silicone where you install the bolts and not on the rest of the vehicle since they are not pre drilled?
Will the roof rack bolt on a the panoramic sunroof model the same? If know it says not compatible but I’m willing to not open the sunroof ever if it’ll bolt on the same
@@AlejandroRodriguez-or8pk Sorry for the late response drilling is required for those plus nuts it will not be secured properly and wont work as intended.
Love the rack, install was easy enough. I wish Prinsu had an actual process for plugging the holes. I can’t imagine rubber plugs/silicone would cost too much to throw in there. The paper instructions online don’t even address the 8 open holes in the roof.
I loved the video but we took it to a dealer to install ours and I can hear a rattling sound as if something is loose and I don't know what could be, do you have any tips or idea of what it could be causing that sound?
I’m sure we can get this figured out for you. Can you give our team a call so they can trouble shoot a few potential areas with you? That would be the easiest to come to a conclusion.
After a lengthy research, I decide to go for a Prinsu roof rack. Do you have any outlet in Orange County CA for a professinal installation? Also wondering if your team will install it any differently on a RAV4 Prime because more batteries involved. Thanks.
We have dealers in that area that are more than capable of installing our roof racks. Give our team a call or shoot them an email and they can send you in the right direction.
"You'll see one of these screws is longer than the others..." GUESS WHICH SCREW YOU FORGOT TO INCLUDE IN MY BOX? OKAY I'LL JUST DIP DOWN TO THE HARDWARE STOR- OH WAIT MY ENTIRE EFFING INTERIOR IS COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED AND THE CAR IS UNDRIVABLE. THANKS GUYS! APPRECIATE THE QC!
Oh no! We're sorry to hear you were missing a bolt. Please reach out to customer service so we can get you taken care of! Our hardware is automated and done on a machine so it's not often a bolt is missing.

I assume this wouldn't work on the RAV4 LE?. which just has a rubber trim on top.
it does but you have to drill holes yourself :(
@@DaVanilla_Gorilla yah, I took it to the Toyota dealer and they told me it was $1400 for the rack plus install.

@@27jtaco I'm leaving the roof as is. Squashed the idea right after I heard about the price. I bought a cargo camper to put my stuff on.
will it fit 2022 Highlander XLE?

Ours fits and opens just fine
that can use on rav4 xle 2022?
Yes you sure can!
I have seen other videos where they don’t drill any holes? If I want to opt out of that will I have issues in the future ?
@@ela_umbrella these guys suck in replying back . I been wanting to know about it for a while now . Where specifically is the weather strip going too?

Yes your sunroof will still function in both the tilt and slide modes!

Pay over a grand for a rack only to have to rip your car apart. It's definitely not worth the headache. Should be just plug and play.
I love prinsu but I don’t know how to stall it I’m scared I hope you can do for me for free install
