I’m a firefighter on Sanibel and that view of coming over the causeway onto Island never gets old. It’s truly a beautiful island!

While originally from Maine, I absolutely love vacationing there and am so happy to see it featured on your channel as I have been greatly inspired by your vlogs. My family has gone in the summer for the past 15 years (we were just there for the fourth) and I go to school in Naples, Florida, so the area really holds a special place in my heart!

i grew up in florida in tampa and have explored all of the places- but it’s always so cool to see it from someone else’s perspective! you’ll have to come back and explore the springs, they’re one of the coolest spots to experience!

Spoiled for views on this trip. Have been to Sanibel Island on my first trip to Florida. Loved it, well known for sea shells.
I've lived in FL for 43 years and still have no chill when I spot dolphins. Haha! Florida has its challenges, but so much beauty as well. I hope you can come back and capture some of Central FL and it's natural springs!

I grew up in Ft. Myers! This was so fun to see. My dad was a boat captain that took folks out on tours and to some of the boat-only accessible islands. Highly recommend sunset dolphin tours! So glad you made it to the Edison-Ford Estate--such a cool area. I hope you're able to make it back to Florida some time. I went to college in Tampa which is only a couple hours North of Ft. Myers and St. Pete beaches are lovely. Great Cuban food. There are also some gorgeous natural springs to kayak. A few hours South you can see Miami and go to the Everglades and Keys. You should definitely, definitely go see the Everglades at some point! I've been within feet of an alligator down there and the wildlife is so cool to see.
I grew up going to Florida a lot but I haven't been in years. I miss it. I'm glad you had fun!

My husband and I went to Sanibel and Captiva for our honeymoon and loved it so much we returned for our anniversary! It looks like you had fun too 😄

Hi!!! I’m so with you on Paddle Boards. I live in Florida near Tampa and much rather sit than stand. Standing up is good if wanting to see something specific just due to a vantage point, BUT sitting is so much more Chillaxin!
My first thought when seeing your thumbnail was “oh, shit.. alligators!” But manatees seem pretty cool to see.
You forgot the AHMAZING shelling (collecting shells). Nothing like it!!! And that the water is warmish in parts of the water because you are on the Gulf of Mexico and when the two meet it creates the change in temp. Also there are a ton of “noseeums” which are basically a cross between a Miskito and a sand flea and the best thing to use to keep them from biting is skin so soft from Avon. Hahaha I love Florida so very much but captiva and Sannibel have a piece of my heart

Hello Allison!! I love your videos. I even made a reaction video on your Germany video and I hope that you watch it as I gave you a great kudo. I am from Florida originally and glad that you made it there. I love swimming with the manatees in Jan when it is really cold but you see so many manatees. If you are ever in Florida and would like to swim with the manatees I will be more than happy to show you around. I love Sanibel, Ft. Meyers, and the Captiva Islands. Sanibel Island is where my wife and I had our honeymoon fifteen years ago. BTW, you have amazing video and drone work skills. Thanks for sharing and have safe travels :).

hey there! You missed North Captiva! Not Captive, but North Captiva. Accessible only by boat, and scheduled ferry service. No cars, just golf carts!! Great internet, and rental homes..

I hate sitting cross legged on a paddle board 😅 I feel like I don’t get enough leverage to paddle (I’m also petite so that may have something to do with it). I don’t mind sitting up on my knees though. I also like standing too, but I’ll sit if I’m feeling lazy 😅
The Bubble Room Restaurant on Captiva is always a good place for dinner.
But hopefully she hit up Orlando on the way back up. That's what makes Florida a 10/10.

All I can think about is "What mosquito spray would I like most on this day... Off, Skin so soft, maybe some Deet 100, or go natural with the citronella spray?" So many choices, might mix it up with 3-4 different sprays at the same time. :)
