"How did you find me?" "I didn't. I thought i was headed to mansion." Becomes funnier when you see the mansion in full view behind Zoro as he climbs out of the well and walks away.
It’s not as clarified in this version, but Zoro has NO sense of direction; in the manga/anime before he met Luffy, he was friends with a couple of sailors who kept him from getting lost.
The well he crawled out of was in sight of the house, in an area of the grounds he'd already walked through when they all first arrived there, but somehow he ended up going in the opposite direction of it.
The reveal that Vice Admiral Garp is Luffy's grandpa was much later in the manga/anime. It doesn't change the story too much, though. Physical size is actually incredibly important in swordfighting. Strength is not _as_ important, so the differences between men and women in swordfighting is not as dramatic as it is in other forms of athleticism and combat, but the length of one's arm, means that women are not as capable as men, as a general rule. There are tall women and short men, of course, and some women who have trained in swordfighting more than men have which can help overcome some physical limitations. But in the course of a swordfighting career, fighting with actual swords, to the death, women aren't ever going to rise to the top, because they will pretty quickly run into a larger man with equal or better skill who can completely dominate her. Even with a lot of luck on her side, and very carefully picking her battles, she's going to get killed sooner rather than later. Kuina had more skill than Zoro when they were kids, and the size difference wasn't so great. That's how she beat him then. But she was right in thinking that Zoro would surpass her based on their eventual relative sizes. As fully grown adults, the higher their skill level got, the greater the gap would be.
Kuina's body was in the casket, it was just a closed casket funeral, which is more common than open casket. But she died. In a sudden and unfortunate way. So Zoro can learn the lesson that life isn't fair, and that you shouldn't put your dreams off because you never know how much time you have left.

yeah it's very odd that the live action left out the cause of Kuina's death, in the manga and anime it's explained that she just fell down the stairs, showing how tragedy can happen unexpectedly
Zoro's Sensei is Kuina's dad, he didn't kill her, she really had an accident. She fell down the stairs and died. It shows how fast things can be over and also that normal humans exist in the One Piece world, not everybody is superhuman like our protagonists.
The live-action version did cut a lot of plots, but I always thought she was not dead when I watched the animation🥲 Because she died too suddenly and the cause of death was simple. But it just proves the fragility of life.
@LMReactions, 5:23 Shanks isn't just anybody, remember? We saw him in the first episode, during Gold Roger's trial and execution, albeit for a split second, but he was there. Buggy mentioned him too, so we can see that Shanks appears to be a well-known pirate among people more knowledgeable or older. If you listen carefully to the dialog, you'll start catching hints here and there about Shanks. If it makes you feel any better, you'll get some sort of resolution soon enough, and that's all I'll say about that =) 25:43 Her death shows that accidents can happen to anyone, even the best of the best, and how unpredictable life can be. Apparently, she and Po from Kung Fu Panda have the same Kryptonite ='( 28:53 Is the butler complaining about the job he signed up for?! 34:03 Zoro's transformation has begun. Before Zoro met Luffy, we watched him cut a man in half who tried to kill him, but now we see him knocking people unconscious. Luffy used to be an impulsive, quick-to-anger little kid looking for a fight, remember? That's what pirates would have done, right? Well, the ones Luffy met before he met Shanks. Shanks turned Luffy's beliefs on its head, showing him that a pirate's life can be what one makes it to be. And before Luffy's time with Shanks came to an end, he learned a horrible lesson about having an impulsive disposition, Luffy cost Shanks his arm. We got to see Luffy's transformation just before Shanks set sail too, which was a nice touch. Luffy's aura is transformative, and we are watching his power as he forms his crew. Zoro used to be a cold-blooded pirate hunter, but that guy has been slowly fading away since he got entangled with Luffy. Nami used to be a thief who stole whatever she could get her hands on, but what happened last episode? She put the things she stole back. Shanks avoided trouble at all costs. Luffy is doing his best to emulate that too. 40:41 Have you ever known to mistake a family member that they got a good look at for someone else? I don't think that's a thing. I can't wait to see your next reaction. The next episode is pure FIRE! EDIT: 41:58 If you re-watch Koby's interrogation with Garp you might pick up on something ;)
In the first episode in the flashback one of shanks crew said. Come in shank be nice to him he is just a kid he got no parents and shank said better a dissapointed kid now than a dead one later. Something like that
In regards to Luffy's parents, he is not an orphan, but he was also not raised by his parents. Honestly, even after 1109 chapters of manga, we still don't know who Luffy's mother is/was. Shanks is not Luffy's father, but a pirate Luffy personally saw as a hero. Luffy's father has only been shown as an easter egg in the opening scene of episode 1 if you know who to look for. He has not been named in the live action yet, but once you know who he is and what he is, the reason he couldn't raise Luffy will become more obvious. Since the rest of the season is on Patreon already, you already know that Monkey D Garp is in fact the grandfather of Monkey D Luffy (Monkey is the family name). Garp raised Luffy with help considering his marine duties, which he gets a lot of freedom as he is the hero that caught Gold Roger about 4 years before Luffy was born. Interestingly Garp's reveal as Luffy's grandfather happens much earlier in the live action than in the manga or anime, where Garp's relationship to Luffy doesn't come out until after Enes Lobby.
I get not wanting to react to all of One Piece's anime, as that is a massive commitment, but I would love for them to react to the episodes of the anime that the Live Action covers.
50:33 Kuina is the daughter of that glasses guy sensei! She would always over hear him talk about not having a son to take over the dojo in the anime. This adds even more reasoning as to why she gave that explanation!
It's anime only filler. We don't know who planted these ideas in her mind, because it's fking filler that made the sensei look bad for no reason. Early one piece anime is full of this shit, for example changes in sanji's backstory or the way luffy ate DF, or gaimon arc being after syrop village. Toei thought they are him, but they are not him, believe me.
Kuina's death is much more tragic when you consider that it would never have happened without Zoro's challenge to a duel with real swords. She went to fetch a whetstone afterwards and fell down the stairs.
I love how you knew how Luffy would react, we get to know him so well, in just 4 episodes It's insane, however Luffy always surprises more and more with his actions, stay tuned
Even for the manga and anime fans, there's a theory that Kuina is actually still alive.. Also there're still so much mysteries around Luffy's parents (maybe half). But, it's still just a theory, not trying to spoil anything here. :)
In defense of the shoddy protection system... any such security measure exists to draw out time and make it defensible. Anything can be breached if an attacker has enough time or means. It would be a lot more effective if someone was trying to slice the fingers prying up those doors, or stood there with a gun waiting for them to lift it up while exposing themselves. That said.. it is clearly not all that great even with those flaws in mind. But arguably Klahador wouldn't make it a priority to point out its flaws anyway!
I know that Lola is confident but unfortunately she's wrong (and I have said it before), Shanks is in a different boat which shows that's his and how he got there. We can tell bc they're different colors, the one the bad guy kidnapped Luffy in is blue and white, meanwhile the one Shanks is in and puts Luffy in when he saves him isn't like that at all, it has the color of the wood. The other one isn't there anymore bc it sinks after Luffy does, we don't see it but we know it by the violent way it keeps moving while Luffy starts to sink and the camera focuses on him.
@@cl86241 First, it's not "seemingly", the boat has a completely different outside and that's intentional. Second, manga and live action are not the same thing, the live action reveals things that the manga doesn't by this point and they also keep others in secret by now to reveal later. They changed it in the live action so viewers can make different theories, that's how it is for those who just watch this show, bc that's how it is supposed to by the way they adapted this stuff.
Even if it's wrong, if it is because I didn't check, It could be true because Shanks is amazing. So it doesn't matter in the end, she didn't come to wrong conclusions about him so nothing changed
@@Lightsephiroth she did come to the wrong conclusions bc she said he's definitely in the same boat, and bc she said he definitely has a power when he doesn't, he's just too good, but that's something we'll see later on and not by now, that's why it matters. The live action changed that stuff from manga and anime to keep the mystery and theories on, and these girls like people telling them when they make a mistake in their theories with stuff they're wrong in or missed, without spoilers. That's how it is for live action viewers, that's the intention of the adaptation.
Considering how much they changed the story from the original I assume they will never explain how Kuina died! The ''accident'' they mentioned was that she fell down the stairs and died which a lot of people think is the funniest and boring death in the story! The Sensei that told Zoro she died was actually her father. And in the anime/manga they had a whole funeral with her body confirming she was really dead.
As someone who has been around since your Last Airbender and Korra reactions, I think you guys really would fall in love with the story of One Piece, and could have some amazing discussions about it. BTW The Creator had one rule for Netflix and this was no romance between the Straw Hats, they are siblings, and he is super strong about it to this day. There are potential Love Interests, and romance stories, but not with crew Members (Anime/Manga Spoilers, tho). Of course people going to ship, who they're going to ship but no romance between the crew in canon. Funny tho, Nami and Zorro in the Manga/Anime are the Characters with the biggest Queer following and ship's, Emily and Makenyu have great chemistry tho. Don't worry about Luffy, he is in love with adventure, freedom, and food.
I don't think it's the best to tell them about the romance part, they don't know that yet, that's something they'll discover by themselves as the show goes on, so they prefer to not know those things.
Just a fun literary thing. The trope of what happened to Kuina (Zoro's friend) is called "fridging" its when a character's death happens offscreen purely for the impact it would have on another character. It's not the best trope, and generally disrespects the fridged character, treating them as a plot device
Zoro's childhood rival, Kuina, is definitely dead. This is not a mystery, so you don't have to spend any time worrying about it. Zoro's sensei is Kuina's father. He's definitely more suspicious appearing in the live action, but I believe that was unintentional.
Zorro already has superhuman strength from the beginning of the manga. We see him very, very often lifting very VERY oversized dumbbells during his daily training. The manga's flashbacks showed him already doing this as a kid to one day beat his rival. As for the series, he lifts the safe as if nothing had happened. He can therefore safely lift the anti-piracy security door.
There's no official romance amongst the crew and no plans by the author for it either. But I've shipped Zoro and Nami since the very beginning anyway; they both complement each other so well, in terms of personality and with Zoro's lack of direction/Nami as a navigator. Love the dynamics between the two. Looking forward to your next reaction video!
40:22 He means that that's his grandfather - Marine Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp. But he's so well known that people hardly ever use his last name or his secret name.

Warning: If you click "Read more", you will be 'spoiled' on something relatively minor from the manga that was cut from, but is still canon to, this adaptation (A cut that I think was a mistake to make). I think it would save you some time and energy to know it, but if you'd prefer to go in completely blind, that's also a respectable choice. Proceed at your own risk. We see a body in the manga. Kuina is dead. The point of the interaction is to show Zoro that humans are fragile beings. It doesn't matter what your goals, aspirations, skills or anything else are - the universe won't care, and you can still die by something as simple as falling down the stairs, like Kuina did.
Love your comments and reactions. I NEED to ask, do you know a show named Bojack Horseman? I would love to watch, for a lot of people it change lives, my favorite show ever! Hugs from Brazil.
Potentially seasons 4-5/6 will answer most of the questions that you have. It's 5/6 because I don't know what they are going to do with that stand alone arc. I think the story makes great setup for the next saga, so that's what I would personally do, still there's enough in the 6 saga to split it into two seasons, SOOOO I have no idea.
It's not said in the show, but Kuina falls down a flight of stairs on accident. Because it's not explicitly shown in the manga, some fans took it to mean she committed suicide, but Oda came out and refuted that statement, saying it was purely an accident to show Zoro and the reader how fragile and fleeting life is.

maybe killing so many pirates make Zoro lost her sense of dramatic 😢
@LMReactions,
5:23 Shanks isn't just anybody, remember? We saw him in the first episode, during Gold Roger's trial and execution, albeit for a split second, but he was there. Buggy mentioned him too, so we can see that Shanks appears to be a well-known pirate among people more knowledgeable or older. If you listen carefully to the dialog, you'll start catching hints here and there about Shanks. If it makes you feel any better, you'll get some sort of resolution soon enough, and that's all I'll say about that =)
25:43 Her death shows that accidents can happen to anyone, even the best of the best, and how unpredictable life can be. Apparently, she and Po from Kung Fu Panda have the same Kryptonite ='(
28:53 Is the butler complaining about the job he signed up for?!
EDIT:
41:58 If you re-watch Koby's interrogation with Garp you might pick up on something ;)
We wasn't supposed to understand Shanks power, yet, during this episode. So it's okay to be confused and speculating. You're on the right track ❤
Me too xD
50:33 Kuina is the daughter of that glasses guy sensei! She would always over hear him talk about not having a son to take over the dojo in the anime. This adds even more reasoning as to why she gave that explanation!
It's anime only filler. We don't know who planted these ideas in her mind, because it's fking filler that made the sensei look bad for no reason. Early one piece anime is full of this shit, for example changes in sanji's backstory or the way luffy ate DF, or gaimon arc being after syrop village. Toei thought they are him, but they are not him, believe me.
In real time one piece is at over 1000 episodes now so Its Gonna be worth it
The revelation that they are related has to be one of the best moments for me, it was hilariously unexpected. :D
Just need to say I absolutely love the thumbnail lol
Kuina's death is much more tragic when you consider that it would never have happened without Zoro's challenge to a duel with real swords. She went to fetch a whetstone afterwards and fell down the stairs.
I love how you knew how Luffy would react, we get to know him so well, in just 4 episodes It's insane, however Luffy always surprises more and more with his actions, stay tuned
koliko mi je drago da i dalje snimate hahaha secam se da sam vas davno gledao
Your thumbnail xD
Imagine this "dinosaur-no-low-jaw" head would be the standard human in another galaxy. Where this is the standard of beauty.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Doesn’t matter if the color seemingly changes. In the manga, shanks doesn’t use a boat. He’s just THAT fast.
Shanks was able to paint the boat a different color, he was just that fast 🤭
Imagine if he didn't know he has parents.
Now the best part begins. You're going to love it.
My god i love Milena's reactions when she is shocked.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Send this comment to Sanji, I think he will like to have a chat with you.
I think a suuuuuper robot and a fluer mom would like to disagree
I don't think it's the best to tell them about the romance part, they don't know that yet, that's something they'll discover by themselves as the show goes on, so they prefer to not know those things.
How tf is this comment 3 wk old
@@pewpewfruit they're patreon members so they have early access
Zoro doesn't have a vendetta against pirates, he was jjust a bounty hunter
It kind of eludes that kuina commits sui cide / In the manga, she supposedly "slip" and falls down the stairs.
@40:13 that is a thumbnail for a reaction if ever i saw one.
Sensei is Kuina's dad
Kuina lost her life to Down D. Stairs, but it's only mentioned in manga/anime.
Remaining 4 episode get's better and better .
Just a fun literary thing. The trope of what happened to Kuina (Zoro's friend) is called "fridging" its when a character's death happens offscreen purely for the impact it would have on another character. It's not the best trope, and generally disrespects the fridged character, treating them as a plot device
Friends, prepare for Mihawk's epic introduction next episode
Btw Luffy didnt get saved from the poison because of the devil fruit LOL hes just built different same as Zoro
Well, one of his swords really special. It's even has a name. Zoro say it in the previous episode.
Shanks is not luffy s father. He is his idol.
The only romance in One Piece is Romance Dawn
*WEDDING CAKEY!!!!*
Senior ~~~hard boiled
Tbf one piece has the best romance in anime if you think about it
@@happyslapsgiving5421 I love your username 😂 I’m rewatching that show rn
@@besiqose9701 yeah it’s the traditional meaning of romance
You need to see the Going Merry in the manga, cutest ship ever
There's no official romance amongst the crew and no plans by the author for it either. But I've shipped Zoro and Nami since the very beginning anyway; they both complement each other so well, in terms of personality and with Zoro's lack of direction/Nami as a navigator. Love the dynamics between the two. Looking forward to your next reaction video!
Kuina fell down the stairs. It was an unfortunate accident.
It's back!
Somebody show them the anime and manga helmeppo because live action helmeppo is the best version even if he is still not cool
40:22 He means that that's his grandfather - Marine Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp.
But he's so well known that people hardly ever use his last name or his secret name.
Best headbutt ever 😂
"What do we know about Luffy parents"

Kuina was the Sensei's daughter by the way.
I love the thumbnail!
27:08 non anime watchers also find zoro's sense of direction funny lol
Guys, u will love watching frieren ❤
I love this show
The hide Kuina ending and that's so funny to me. People who only watch the live action will never knew the truth. DOWN D STAIRS.
The Sensei is kuhinas father. He didnt kill her😂 in the Manga she fell down the stairs
From today the kuina memes begin in the channel
Zorros backstory is great
excited for episode 5 soon
It's not said in the show, but Kuina falls down a flight of stairs on accident. Because it's not explicitly shown in the manga, some fans took it to mean she committed suicide, but Oda came out and refuted that statement, saying it was purely an accident to show Zoro and the reader how fragile and fleeting life is.
"YOU FORGOT THAT SHE OWN THE SHIP, THAT'S HOW SHE CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE CREW !".....😅
Kuina is dead. Period. Fell from the stairs.
God King Shanks iykyk 😂

Kuina just had a freak accident and fell down some stairs. Not telling the viewers that is one of the weirdest decisions in the show.
