- This time on TrailRecon, Regena and I head to Joshua Tree for some nice relaxing camping, then meet up with our very good Friends Marc and Trish and get the opportunity to check out their classic RV, then we’ll take them off the beaten path in the park for some fun off-roading and exploring along Geology Tour Road and Berdoo Canyon. The girls have a blast wheeling the little yellow 2 door on the trail, I tow off-road with The Bronco for the very first time and share my thoughts, I bravely let Marc behind the wheel and get his first impressions, but things didn’t go perfectly as planned today because I did experienced a bit of an electrical issue in the bronco… Thanks for joining me as we explore Joshua Tree National Park

The parts where you see Brad running in the back ground is hilarious!! 🤣🤣
I am watching this vid now, and went comment the same thing.
'Behind the Recon'
What time
It nice to see the tremendous work that goes into these video.

There should be a Brad count in this video. Great video, but yeah watching Brad run was very entertaining lol
Loved watching Brad running in the background while the ladies were talking. Run Brad, run.
You can't understand how much I love it when my favorite RUclips celebs get together and make content. When I bought my TJ, I found Trailrecon. I then traded my JL for a Ram Rebel to pull my new camper, which ultimately led me to KYD. I have looked back and watched every video on your two channels. What a trip you guys have taken me. I can't wait to do it for myself. Keep on keepin' on!
I see why Brad can drink all that coffee! He is running half the time to make these awesome videos. It will be interesting to see how the bronco compares to his 4xe jeep. I just drove a 4xe and was shocked how nice it is and how much power it brings. I want one so bad so my wife and I can go do these adventures. Thanks Brad for a great channel!
Great collaboration with KYD. Good seeing Marc, Trish and Caleb hang out with you guys.
This was a delightful episode! Love the easy exchange of info between everyone. I enjoyed Trish and Reginia's segment. AND CALEB GOT TO DRIVE!!!! Thanks Brad for your informative and fun videos!
That girl talk while seeing Brad running on the reflection of the sunglasses.....ohhhh I like where this is going ♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍So fresh to watch. Thanks Brad for saving us from everyday monotony.
So thrilled to see two of my favorite RUclipsrs together! What’s great video and journey, I feel so blessed! Thank you Brad, Regina, Mark, Trish, and of course the ever funny Caleb!
I appreciate the effort you put into making great quality videos. Ever since getting out the Marine Corps I had a hard time finding a hobby to connect to. Since getting into the off-roading world I feel more at peace and have met some great people. Your videos are always great and have helped me map out future trips with the family. Keep up the good work.
Thank you and thank you for your service! Wishing you some great adventures Devil Dog!
Some of my favorite people! I love that you let Caleb drive as well!
WOW we really like your show. With Mark & Trish Thank you 🤟🏾Augie & Sue
The girls combo is FUN! They should do a girls special channel. Talking open from their perspective and overland husbands. Haha… 🙌
RIGHT!...hahaha....
The best part is the kid is smart and funny enough ❤️
Love watching both the bronco and 2 door JL on the same trail.
Always a good time in JTNP! Love that vintage RV.
Marc, Trish and Caleb from KYD are the best, what a fun play date 😍
Hello::::Wow I could handle that breakfast !!! looks like a Blue Bird, built like a Tank I guess.
Two of my favorite channels. I added Joshua tree park and these trails to my todo list, thanks for sharing Brad!
Very well constructed I enjoyed watching thanks
LOVE TRISH AND MARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved the conversation between Regina and Trish and then Brad and Mark and Caleb!
Watch both you and KYD love both channels. great collaboration. Love watching your channel because I have a two door Jeep like your wife’s and love over landing but I also have a 35 foot fifth wheel that my wife and I also enjoy. would be awesome sitting around the campfire with you and Mark could talk for hours.
LOVE KYD & TrailRecon ! The BEST of both worlds !! Thanks for sharing this, Brad..... Jill, Nashville TN
How cool! Two of my favorite channels all in one. We used to live in the Coachella Valley and LOVED to travel through Joshua Tree. A definite favorite!
Love to see the ladies got some time alone to chat. And the boys having fun too.
I love the video and hearing Regina point towards slowing down with you was a great reality of life! Hopefully they can get the electronic part figured out hopefully it turns out to be something simple so you can get back out and keep enjoying the new rig!
Love that hella yellow 2dr! Awesome! Great shots!
Another fun trip, nice 84 bird as well. I'm converting a 2002 Thomas 40 foot school bus into a skoolie. I always enjoy seeing other busses, not just skoolies, more ideas. I enjoy the videos as usual, and I'm glad Regena is in them more also, great point of view. Good luck with the electrical on the bronco, hopefully something simple. Cheers!
Thank you! 😊
My 2 top RUclips channels together. Im very satisfied. Nice vid.
My wife was away for work & came back with (2) pups. We had the talk & I lost, don't lose like me Brah.
Awesome vid 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
We stayed in 29 Palms and went to Joshua Tree and hiked a few of the trails for 3 days. We saw a beautiful fox just laying in the sun. We had a rental car so no going off the pavement. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for info on the trails Brad you do a fantastic job.
We just saw our first desert fox last week while in Anza Borrego, can't believe after all these years that was the first one I've seen.
was thinking of heading out there soon
A family in town has one of the Blue bird bus campers. Around a 1978 and two toned brown. He used it for traveling to NASCAR races. Interior is pretty much stock and the outside is nice for it's age. It's been sitting for 20 years AND NOT RUNNING. It would make a cool camper for someone. The camper in your video is so nice !
Ohhh I love Mark and Trish ! Did he get his Bronco? I just get soo excited when I see a new video from you Brad! 🥰
Another great video Brad and Regina! We gotta get out more and see these places you take us on TrailRecon. Happy and Safe Trails!
As far as interesting places for Regina, if y’all ever roll thru South Dakota, hit up Wall Drug just east of Rapid City. Trust me on that. On that note, farther east along I-90 there’s a small place called 1800s Town, it’s worth the stop as well. But Regina will dig Wall Drug.
We have been there before. That’s a BIG place!!
Literally just got home from Camping at Jumbo Rock all weekend. Wasn’t expecting to see that you were just there.
I have been planning a new paint job for my 1992 YJ build and I think I really like The little yellow Jeep y’all have. Keep doing what you do. Thanks
Love it! Hopefully the electrical gremlin is a loose connector or ground. You may want to check the bolts in the fuse box as well. There have been a few documented cases of those not being tightened correctly.
Awesome to see you guys with the KYD guys. Marc and Trish (and the kids) have a awesome channel. They have been a bit of a inspiration for us. I think RUclips recommended your channel to me cause I was watching KYD. I found KYD after I bought my F-250 and was researching some mods that they had done.
Great video. Never seen Caleb so quiet. Love when he shinned the flashlight in his eyes and everyone ignored him. Lol
The son in the back messing with brads stuff cracks me up lol
Caleb was so much fun! That kid is witty and has a ton of personality!
Our two favorite channels.
The trifecta, add 395 Junkie
I worked at Fort Leanord Wood and Uranus is right now down the road. I've been there myself.
Berdoo Canyon is pretty awesome! We did it in our 2WD Tacoma...the sceneries towards the end with all the Joshua Tree is amazing!
Me and my wife will be doing Berdoo Canyon in our 4WD Tacoma in a few weeks, any tips? Glad you guys enjoyed it!
@@thebasementoverland On my channel there's a video of Berdoo Canyon. It's a bit more detailed about the trail
Great video. The teenager in the backseat was having a good time too lol
He was having a blast all day!
And now a general comment now that I’ve watched the whole video. This may be my favorite video you’ve made to date.
Right on, thank you!
LOVE this video..Trail Recon and Keep Your Daydream are two of my favorites on RUclips. Caleb, hilarious! Trailer looks great behind the Bronco. Does Regina have new shoes...we see those BFG's???
I enjoyed this one. I visited Joshua Tree during my time at the Stumps. About to retire and hope to take my wife out there overlanding.
Lol seeing brad in the background running makes me appreciate the content !!.. don’t get me wrong it’s funny .. but love it
Another great video. Also watch Keep Your Daydream regularly, so nice to see them on your channel.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do overlanding, but I sure do enjoy living vicariously through y’all
The wife and I just joined the off-road trailer community. Never thought I’d need one, now, I don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner. Love how you can pack it and leave it. As always, great vid. Cheers 🍻
Congrats on the new trailer!
A great video indeed as we are fans of the KYD channel. Good job Brad and Regina. You guys be safe.
Awesome video guys. Really like the showcase of the classing RV, towing with the Bronco and Trish's Jeep following along. One thing I will say is that as much as I like the Bronco, the Jeep just looks so much better in my opinion when placed side-by-side. But the Bronco is impressive none-the-less and looks like it towed your trailer effortlessly.
Also, I like what Marc said about Banff being his favorite park, the problem is that you can't go there right now due to Canada not allowing US citizens across the border (without justification). My wife and I tried to go there last year when visiting Glacier National Park and it was a no-go. So if people can't go to Banff, I would definitely go to Glacier. I'd venture to say it's the clearest water you'll find south of Canada/Alaska. Great vlog guys!
Fun times right there!!
Besides the fact that you guys always put out quality, entertaining video's, I have to say that your choice of music is spot on!
The Bronco and trailer look so good together.
Great video, love me some KYD. So cool to see both channels together on a mini vacation run.
17:12 with the flash light 😂
These videos make me wish my Subaru could go more places! The day I own a 4x4 is when I go west for more adventures
I’ve been watching them for a while now. They go through rvs like you do jeeps!
The trailer looks good with the bronco. Keep up the good work.
Said it before your misses jeep is eppic and rockin to ACDC ,,, Also anyone see Reece witherspoon somewhere there ?? , but so cool trip Brad very cool Sir !!!!
I think the girls need to go off and do their own channel. There was some great dynamic there.
I subscribe to both of you. That was great that you are getting together.
Man I cant wait to take a trip out there! Thanks Brad!
The sign was interesting... That's why you never wheel alone! (At least not without being uber-prepared)
I love living an hour and a half from Banff.
Get that woman another cat! LOL Another great episode!
A flat out great episode.
Nice trip guys and good many to boot !
Awesome!! Two of my favorite channels!!
Right on!
Great vid! Really enjoyed the conversations in the vehicles.
Brads always working so hard in the background!
Got a full belly now and now I'm sitting down and get some TrailRecon time. Cant wait Doc !
Great blend of fun and friends and food!
Thanks for sharing it.
Loved the trip Brad and friends, much fu!!
But just for the record, Whistler BC, Banff Alberta!
Love the kid in the back seat playing with Brads stuff 😂
He can’t get into the conversation though even though he tried 🙁
👋🇸🇪
Hilarious watching the boy enjoy those toys. Also the ribbing Brad got about his GoPro mount. 😂
Oh trust me, we all 3 had some great conversations, but the camera wasn't always rolling.
Caleb is a hoot and he definitely joined many of our conversations, but as Brad mentioned, the camera isn't always rolling! 😁
Great video, excellent friends & fun! Thanks for your service - USN! Loving the trailer too...hmmm
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love listening to the ladies' take in this vid - they are great! Totally agree with DC at night - it is empty yet you can still see most everything. Plus with all the feds visibly around you are very safe. When I was in college my friends and I took that same geology road trail because we wanted to go exploring. However once we got to that first small rock waterfall in the canyon (looks to be right where you stopped for lunch) we realized we were a little bit out of our element in the Subaru Crosstrek hehe. Luckily we had enough space to turn around and we had to camp right off the trail because it got too dark. We were worried we were going to get in trouble but everything turned out alright - made for a great little adventure and my friends still talk about it
Sometimes its adventures like the are the most memorable. Hopefully someday you can get back down there in the day time and complete the section where you had to turn around.
Awesome
17:13 that kid has his own show happening 🤣
I have friends that live near Uranus, Missouri lmao it is an awesome place!
Your videos are always so fun and seem like a relaxing time. Thank you for sharing the adventures I wish to have one day with my family.
Awesome video, so many fun aspects to it, but I found the music to be so relaxing and enjoyable with headphones on. 💯
Joshua tree national Park is one of the most gorgeous areas. Very close to Palm Springs California
What a fun video!! Love it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow you took Reese Witherspoon off-roading.
I bet she gets that a lot!!
Favorite part is searching for Brad running in the background at all times
What time
Looking forward to this episode I grew up in Joshua Tree! But just couldn’t see myself moving back after I retired from the Navy.
Another great video. Bummer on the gremlins, hopefully the dealer can figure it out, and its not one of those "worked fine for us" issues.
Run Forrest Run!
😂
Great adventure!
If you're looking for similar fun places with slot canyons and mud caves, come to AZ just 1 hr NEast of Quartzite to Alamo Lake. Camping at Alamo LAke is remote and the Western portion has slot canyon dry washes that empty itno the lake making a series of many peninsulas extending into the lake which are great campsites.
Come to AZ!
Geology road and maybe the first half of Berdoo looks like the trail I SHOULD have taken my family on in our stock 2007 Ford Expedition. Instead I took a wrong turn and ran the entirety of Old Dale Rd south to north.... Wow that got sketchy. Luckily I had a good spotter and aired down all terrains and drove out without needing a recovery. Did break both running boards but we made it.
Thanks for doing the RV tour! There's one of these that lives down the street from me, in green. I love the classic look of it, and I was always super curious as to what the interior would look like. I actually really dig the I Love Lucy beds, haha.
Great video as per usual, but Marc, Banff is in Alberta. Don't take that away from us, its all we got LOL
Once again another great video, and what made it so were the comments by KYD as to your off screen personalities. I long suspected that what we saw was who you really were. So what that means is that the next time you're in Colorado we will have to get together for a cup of coffee, and swap a few tales. Until next time... Travel Safe.
I maybe late to this and I hope your issue has been resolved.
However I had a very similar electoral issue with my bronco. The symptoms you had captured are almost identical.
The electronics cut out but the truck kept driving and was operable.
The solution:
Negative battery terminal was loose
Since then, I never had the issue again!
Good luck with your gremlin🤘🏽
Running the tripod. Good exercise.
