That seemed to have worked out very well. I was not to sure about the wheel when you first showed it , but now I may have to pick one up. Thanks for sharing, Live Long Prosper and Collect Your Own Way!
I've got two of those wheels, one at work and one at home. At work I use it to sharpen chisels, at home I use it to touch up scandi edges or the back side of serrations mostly. But both of mine have green compound on them. I use gunny juice on one of my paddle strops, and don't know why I never thought to try it on the wheel. I'm gonna give it a go👍This was an awesome video, my friend! Cheers!
Thanks David,I'm not sure after a bit of thought about Gunny Juice on the wheel as I'm not sure if it is needed.one I love hand stropping so much and the Gunny is great.two I think the speed and friction caused on the wheel together with green compound would probably be as good.i need to try it out. Great idea for scandi grinds and serrations.atb paddy. Watch for further videos on this.lol😜
I have used diamond compound on a dremel tool to polish bolsters but never thought of using it on a buffing wheel to sharpen a knife. I'll have to give it a try.
@@paddyspotatopeelers2154 😂😂 no need to call a lawyer. I've got quite a few of his tattoos and it always amazes me how you can recognise his work without seeing much of it.
You're a mad scientist, coming up with stuff like this. Thanks for your innovative ideas.
Thanks pal I'm genuinely having a blast.plenty more ideas in the pipeline.👍☘️

It really works a treat on modern steels. I still use jusbgreen compound on my traditional knives.its cheaper.lol.atb paddy👍☘️
One of my two buffers is an old Craftsman high speed drill that is probably older than me and I’m old. It’s what I buff my wooden handles with. 🎸🔪☮️
This is my first time trying these things and I'm having a ball.lol👍☘️
You can use soft loose muslin buffing wheels to polish handles and bolsters using the same technique.☘🥔🔪🤔
Cool 😎 your high tech now. 😊
Thats pretty cool!
Great video! Please show us the stand you chose for the drill. Thanks!
Will do it's coming today hopefully.👍☘️

Lol I had so much fun I'm going to use just cheap compound next to see how it does.. always learning in this hobby I love it.lol😱👍😜
Great video. How much Gunny Juice did ya put on the wheel? Thanks so much for the help.
I wonder if that gives a slight convex to the edge ?
I would say that would happen in Time.👍☘️
