Simple Ring Tutorial - Eps 14
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 мар 2018
- One of the simplest tutorials you will ever find for making beautiful, functional rings with nothing but a single bead or stone with drilled hole and a single foot of 20 gauge wire.
Beginning wire wrapping tools:
Basic Pliers Set - amzn.to/3mm4Rgp
20 gauge silver plated wire - amzn.to/3vP4EFu
20 gauge antique copper wire - amzn.to/3BncsQa
18 gauge wire - amzn.to/3Bge3qU
Earring hooks - amzn.to/2XVgYaW
Necklace cords - amzn.to/3Gt2Oiu
I may receive a small reward if you purchase with these links.
If one more person asks me, "Why the glue???" It locks in and covers the sharp ends in case they weren't tucked perfectly, it stabilizes the stone so it doesn't wiggle if the wire isn't tight enough, it adds strength so the whole ring is less likely to unravel if not wrapped tight enough.
You can make rings without it but it's just a little extra.
I love how every video make a point to say not to give up and mistakes is a good thing a learning moment. Very inspiring so happy I found your channel
This is why I like him too!!!
You explain this better than anyone And Your process is easier than anyone else’s I’ve seen!! Yet looks better than most all!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ You’re doing what you’re meant to do and are in your element!!!! 💯
🥰🥰🥰
i love the fact that it sounds like you filmed at the food court. creativity for miles, dude....nothing will ever hold you back, because *you* don't hold yourself back. respect!!! xoxoxo
This was like the first ever video I ever watched of Matt’s Crazy Art, and that’s actually how I fell in Love with wirework jewelry. Thanks so much Matt!!😄😄😄
You are one awesome jewlery teacher. I can follow along so easy. Very knowledgeable in your field. Love it!
So glad I came upon your channel.
Thank you!
Go Matt! Go Matt!! Your art ain't so crazy now - it's serious!! Thanks for all the tips and footage. I am going to use this one!
Thanks Matt. First timer here, but got so interested upon watching how you teach it.
You are a talented and articulate teacher, Matt. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Your laid back enjoyment of your craft mirrors mine as it is relaxing and is a go to and creative hobby for me despite nerve damage from a broken wrist years ago. Unique and fun, friends and family have enjoyed these when gifted one.
Each piece you make is the same and also different at the same time! You are so unique and talented. I love each piece you make! thank you for sharing your style! You are a great teacher and humanitarian in the sense you want everybody to succeed. Thank you.
I love your tutorials. To harden my rings I use a metal mandrel with a nylon hammer. It does not flatten the metal and the ring will not bend under pressure. I have used 24 gauge wire to make rings, and after I hammer them they are very sturdy and have not bent or warped.
Nice tip!!!
Agree, but only the solid ones, not the ones with ridges down the sides.
This is the best...

I use a mandrel & hammer to harden also.
Thanks Matt, you add levity to teaching. Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks!
Hi Matt! I learn so much from your videos. You know, if you wet your finger before swiping the E6000, it doesn't stick to your finger. You can keep a wet sponge handy for that, but I just lick my finger. I use this glue all the time. 😊
Don't lick it afterwards
Rather to make a thousand mistakes, than to sit there paralyzed....best quote ever.
Thanks for making the video. Love it love it loooooove it.
People wear rings on different fingers. It's been my experience if they like it, they make it work. Beautiful work. Thanks.
Dude!! You are fricking awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing your skills!! I have a ton of wire to do this but after a few attempts I kinda put it to the side..TODAY I wire!!! Thank you!!!

I just found your videos and just wanted to say you are my new favorite to watch and learn from! You are an excellent teacher and I love your style and the ease that you put the watcher in. Lime it’s ok to mess up as that is how you learn. That was a very powerful lesson for me as I tend to just paralyze and not try because I don’t want to mess up. You are so talented! Thank you for enriching my life with your crafty wisdom what a beautiful gift!

Hi Matt, I laughed as you say were gonna get rich you giving us your secrets. 🤗 Beautiful easy rings. I gotta try making a few, luv your tutorials. New Subbie. Rosebud 🥀 from Colorado Rocky Mountain High!
I find it very beautiful the way you do.
The 1st ring and the second 2 the green and the brown very nice.
The blue could have been a pity that it failed ..
Find it very special that a man can do this.
I would also like to learn.
Thank you for this video.
Matt, you are the bomb, man! I just wanted to tell you when you said you stole your anvil, I got several very useful metal working tools that help with my wirework included in a body fender kit that I purchased at Harbor Freight and it was very cheap on sale. We don't want to have to bail you out!
Love these, have always wanted to give a go at making something like this. I never wear rings because of my knuckles even though I could get them resized. Weird and different is good, beats the generic cookie cutter hands down :)
Thank you. You are generous and talented.

Hey, Matt! Kudos to you on your "Just Go Ahead And Do It" approach. I have wanted to make jewelry for a while now, but was intimidated because I bought books that listed materials that were expensive and instructions that assumed you knew something about it already. Then a watched a few of your videos, and realized I can just go ahead with the few materials I have for a start. Amazing revelation! After I finish my coffee I am going to take a look at the supplies I have and I bet I will be able to make some stuff. Thank you and be well.
Yay!!!
@@MattsCrazyArt :)
I love your humor 🤣
I never thought about the importance and benefit to making adjustable rings until I wanted to make one for my sister. She has osteoarthritis and can’t get a regular ring over her knuckles. It’s a good selling point.
That last ring in particular is so good, wow. Love to try my hand at something like this. Off to the craft shop! ❤
Thank you Matt for sharing your talents you are amazing 😉
