  • One of the simplest tutorials you will ever find for making beautiful, functional rings with nothing but a single bead or stone with drilled hole and a single foot of 20 gauge wire.
    Beginning wire wrapping tools:
    Basic Pliers Set - amzn.to/3mm4Rgp
    20 gauge silver plated wire - amzn.to/3vP4EFu
    20 gauge antique copper wire - amzn.to/3BncsQa
    18 gauge wire - amzn.to/3Bge3qU
    Earring hooks - amzn.to/2XVgYaW
    Necklace cords - amzn.to/3Gt2Oiu
I may receive a small reward if you purchase with these links.

If one more person asks me, "Why the glue???" It locks in and covers the sharp ends in case they weren't tucked perfectly, it stabilizes the stone so it doesn't wiggle if the wire isn't tight enough, it adds strength so the whole ring is less likely to unravel if not wrapped tight enough.
You can make rings without it but it's just a little extra.

I love your tutorials. To harden my rings I use a metal mandrel with a nylon hammer. It does not flatten the metal and the ring will not bend under pressure. I have used 24 gauge wire to make rings, and after I hammer them they are very sturdy and have not bent or warped.

Hey, Matt! Kudos to you on your "Just Go Ahead And Do It" approach. I have wanted to make jewelry for a while now, but was intimidated because I bought books that listed materials that were expensive and instructions that assumed you knew something about it already. Then a watched a few of your videos, and realized I can just go ahead with the few materials I have for a start. Amazing revelation! After I finish my coffee I am going to take a look at the supplies I have and I bet I will be able to make some stuff. Thank you and be well.
