I am able to make necklaces because of you. My customers enjoy them so much I have learned to branch out into a different medium ty so much for taking the time to me these videos
I thoroughly enjoy your teaching style. I've watched countless wire wrapping videos. Though they were beautifully done, it didn't all make sense to me. You say ”Give it hug” or ” make it an H” and that is universally understood. You also have a great sense of humor, and with the way you move so fluidly as you work it feels a bit like you're the ”bob ross” of wire wrapping.. In that there only ”happy accidents” lol Thank you so much for sharing! I'm really glad I found your channel today 😊
You are a riot!!!😂 I love the way you deliver instruction. You’re so positive and inspiring at the same time! Thank you for lessening the fear of wire wrapping!😊
I fell into a funk watching the news / so many disasters in the world. I found you and I'm inspired. The news can go on without me. I'm getting addicted to your style. Thanks Matt...
I have just started to learn jewelry making and I just found your channel. Holy cow - I feel like I hit some kind of instructional jackpot. Thanks for this content.
I know you know that if those stones were tumbled and polished the finished products would be so much more outstanding. Great wire wrapping techniques. Thanks for showing us.
I homeschooled our 7 kids for 19 years and had accumulated umpteen projects I'd started but was never able to finish because I had no time. Crochet, needlepoint, embroidery, tiling, jewelry making, sewing, and about 10 other hobbies I loved doing. Once they graduated, went to college, the military, or began their own families, I got back to the hobbies I had looked forward to finishing for so long. I also discovered RUclips and all the things I've been able to learn even more about, and Matt's 'channel' is one of my greatest discoveries. This last winter, I had multiple corrective surgeries on my feet so I spent loads of hours sitting and expanding my jewelry supplies and knowledge. When others have been feeling sorry for me not able to get around for months, I've been having a blast learning and doing things with stones, wire, chains, beads, molds, resin, and lots of other mediums that I've applied to my jewelry making. I've even incorporated my canary's feathers in pendants I've made for grandchildren! So Matt, thanks so much for being such a large part of teaching me so much more than I ever knew before about stones and how to use them. I'm loving all of it and becoming fairly proficient watching your videos. I also love giving gifts of things I've made and get wonderful compliments with my personal gifts. I just may sell some jewelry to earn a few dollars extra, too. Its very rewarding with all of it! So, Thanks!
Your comment really made me smile. I'm glad you're making the best use of the down time. Though I wish you a speedy recovery, I can understand fully! I have soo many hobbies myself, and my craft room is my favorite place to hide away. Wishing you so much fun in your creative endeavors! 😊
I struggle with depression and anxiety and watching this made me feel so much better for some reason! Your style and work is very relaxing :) I am thinking about making jewelry to sell as a side job and this was very helpful.
@@oneilanelson9231 I am a Christian and I know Jesus and I still have been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. Don't be ignorant. God made us all differently and we all go through different struggles. Just because I have depression doesn't mean I'm not a Christian. Thank you but your advice is very false.
@@rachaeladeline lol no, don't do that. I'm sorry if I offended you. I was just trying to help. I know what I am saying. I went through it too. It takes more than just being 'a Christian' to break the generational curse. That is want depression and all these things are, generational curses and they can be broken. They sometimes skip a generation or two but if they are not broken then future generation can and will suffer the same. All this is scriptural, not false. I see why I really need to start my RUclips channel so that I can teach what so many ppl are totally lost on. Anyway, listen to Yahweh Speaks on RUclips, you can learn a lot. I really don't know why commenter have to take every reply as a offense?
My first real tutorial that has shown me that it’s really not that serious!! Most people who do tutorials tell you exactly what to do and what techniques, but you’re just like “yeah hug the rocks, okay I like that, yeah this is dope okay” BIG Bob Ross vibes, love it
I so love it when you model your own work. IT'S YOU! it comes from your heart and it's so good to see you wearing your own work. Ive had a rough time having just found out my partner has a brain tumour. I have been nursing him but my spare time I spend with you. Wrapping stones...I'm hooked! Thanks for your company and your fantastic way of working. It just resonates
Looking at my work, i was thinking that i had to much wire and to many bends on my stones, but looking at yout wraps ive decided that mine are ok. Im now learning different techniques and am still.loving wire wrapping
We are 138! We are 138! Dude I just binge watched a bunch of your videos and had to subscribe. You are such a breath of fresh air. Down to earth, real and unpolished (in a good way). I get the feeling you don't do tons of video editing which makes them feel so genuine, like you're hanging out with a friend on your day off. I love so much of what I learned watching them. Mostly: 1. You don't need to invest a whole lot of $ to give this stuff a try. 2. Don't overthink it too much when you're working on a stone. 3. Do something a 100 times before you judge yourself. I've always been intimidated by wire wrapping but now I'm really stoked to play around with some stones I've had laying around. Thanks man!
I love how you quickly and painlessly decide how you’re going to wrap a stone. I use to think I had to meticulously plan out my designs. Now I see I’ve been overthinking things. I just have to go with the flow and see the beauty of it as I go. I’m luckily I live in northern Canada. It’s a geologists wet dream up here with so many gorgeous stones around. I don’t have to go to a store to find them, just collect them on my walks with my dogs. Thank you for inspiring me.
I'm new so mine still look like crap but I am trying to take your advice on being patient. I truly appreciate your teachings. You gave me the confidence to show off my rocks I find.

Hi Matt, Being a left-handed person, it is nice to see someone who uses their left hand to do a lot of the twisting, turning, and positioning of the wire. This is something I have had an interest in for years and you make it seem not quite so intimidating. Thanks!
I have to agree with you Matt on this one, I really like how the 3rd stone turned out as well. The color of the wire and the stone really compliment each other, and just makes this piece 'pop'. I 💙it!!!!

I get the bags of shells from there and after a quick wash and a coat of shiny sealer wrap them up. They turn out quite nice! I also get the glass stones to use for marbled pendants.
There’s the difference. Washing and shining them. Polishing them up.. all stones look pretty if you take the time with them. It helps if the setting is pretty too.
