Damn yo, leave the kid alone, cant you see hes passionate about tattooing, instead of insulting why don't you give some constructive criticism help build him up instead of dragging him down.. damn!
Thank you for taking the time out to show us some of the basics in tattooing, it was very helpful. Some of these bloggers need to appreciate free information.
Don't listen to the "pros"... to be honest, their videos suck for beginners... all they do is act bitchy and tell u to do an apprenticeship. This video was helpful, thank you
You made some good points for ANY beginner and keep it basic WITHOUT being a tattoo snob ! Be proud that your helping a shut ton of people to this creative game.🐾 be proud LEAST you are being honest about all what needs to be learnt! Nazia
Cheers bud simple and straight up. 41,been drawing shit for years, all my bros like " wish you could tat man , get a gun man practice on me ".finally got some gear, then found your vid, Cheers,I'm off to practice!!
It's so funny to read some of the comments on all of the tattoo videos. Someone is always better...that's just life. What I find funny is the talk about cheap tattoo kits. I've used and have many friends that use "prison" machines. Much of their work is way better than some of you so claimed "professionals." I've also looked at the so called "professionals" to see if they had the balls to make a tattooing video & nada! Nothing! Post your pics with your comments and let everyone else give their opinions on your work, if you're claiming to be a Tattoo God/Goddess. Keep up the positive vibes and good luck on perfecting your art @AllHustleNoSleep
thanks brother for the video, it was helpful an I hope to see more. I am just starting out and I gave myself a small tat just to get a hang of it" and you are right practice makes perfect! keep doing what you is doing brother 💯
Well presented my friend. You had very good pointers. actually think the way you presented tattooing made it sound a lot easier than I thought. Thank you!
i juat started tattooing and it came with metal grips and tips i used them one on myself anf i havent used then since well my questiom wqs how would you clean your metal grips and tips? did you use a autoclave? or is there a different way?
Don't use metal if you're tattooing from home. disposable everything and get madicide or cavicide to sterilize the machines and work area, after you remove all protective barrier film.
Great video first off man, i really love tattoos and am quite covered myself but i just love the art form and would love to start tattooing on myself. you have any starter kits you would recommend?
They could b different weight depending on frames. But anyways it's not the length of the bar that tells the difference it's the length of the spring behind them. Ur right though shader spring is longer.
Excellent video, sir, I enjoyed it very much and I learned a lot as well...I am now a new subscriber. I am in the very beginning stage of trying to get started learning to tattoo, I am only at the point where I am doing drawings, so I don't have any equipment at all yet. It looks like you have great machines and accessories, would you happen to have used ones you would be willing to sell? I'm just looking for anything I can get my hands on at the moment just to learn what I can until I have the money to buy some decent equipment. Please keep posting your videos, they are fantastic!!!
+ToeFatOnline I am honored to have everybody give great feedback into my videos. A lot is to come this is only a beginning and never will we give up. Neither should any of you ! It all starts with a pen and pad. We are unable to do any transactions at the moment to sell or trade equipment I am sorry! Blessings
Fernando Castillo you can start with the simplest tattoo machine even with a homemade tattoo gun . Firstly get a good grip on how the machine holds in your hand before you start tattooing g get used to it. Tie it to a pen and draw with it .
cool video bro. I had alot of that same stuff. the power supply is pimp. keep up the good work bro . as you get better you'll get better stuff then the sky is the limit bro. best of luck to you man . your off to a good start . I started with a eBay kit and pig skin then got legit gear and ink and shit was awesome.
I will give a tip/pointer for everyone. You have to have great muscle memory. Buy a calligraphy pen and ink, and put a machine on the pen. Practice lines, curves, circles or something that you stenciled on a grapefruit or even foam paper. Eventually do it with the machine on. Do this for hours, you will build muscle in your forarm. Which will make you better at lining. You will be use the weight and vibrations from the machine. It will also allow you to hold the machine at the right angle.
+Diego San Miguel you can tattoo bananas oranges grapefruits apples etc. it does not necessarily have to be practice skin although it is smart to purchase them and throw them on a good friend so you can practice tattoing without actually hurting them . eBay has the needles and skin cheap
Extremely helpful. Thanks so much for making this video and going in to detail w/ the different guns. I thought you used the same gun, just different needle for shading. Same for the ink.. thought it was the same used for the lining lol. I have so much to learn!
thanks for the video. I am just starting to tat. I am looking into starting my apprenticeship in the fall. If you have any more tips and tricks I would love to hear more.... 😉
Check my tattoo kit unboxing video. The maker is hildbrandt and it's a decent kit. It costs around $100 Canadian which is more than some other kits but worth the extra money. They also offer different kits for different purposes.
Liner / shader bars are exactly the same length,it's the springs that are different for shader or liner .liner is usually shorter with the main bar having cut outs to make lighter , and a faster running gun for lining , wrong information makes for a bad tattoo artist .
The tattoo machine is the least of your worries . It is the artist completely behind everything when it comes to tattooing , I know of great artists that make their own tattoo machines from vhr motors and a Pen & guitar string for a needles they are amazing at the work they do you could not tell what type of machine you could only assume it is professional since the artist trained so long and mastered the art
AllHustleNoSleep pens and guitar string is jail house shit not professional at all. guitar string gets stuck under the skin so the people you know that do that aren't professional kitchen magician
There's mad haters in the comments, like it's simple if you don't like it dont watch it why be so negative. Like he's only trying to help some people that dont know, fuck the haters bro keep doing what you do yo

Best advice. Get better machines. A proffessionally built machine will make a huge difference IF you have skills. Skill comes first. But with shitty machines like KITS. Don't expect to be the best. A good preffessional built tattoo should be able to run around 3 and perform perfectly. I have seen proffessionals run there machines at 2 and they run flawlessly. This cheap China machines running at 8-9 is the quickest way to see you need better machines. After you make some money with a few tats. Upgrade. No disrespect meant. Just some advice. I am just starting back up and I am using these cheapie for now too. But i also know skmetricks to tune and will also upgrade first change I get
AllHustleNoSleep bout time you got an attitude back got tired of reading there crap they don't like the video they can find a different one that simple
Lmao it’s funny how much you didn’t know back then. Neither of those machines were liners and the armature bar has nothing to do with if it’s a liner or a shader or a color packer lol. You obviously know that now but it’s hilarious seeing you try to explain shit wrong.
I know it was a year ago but ima still reply. For people who know how to steralize and can properly do so they're better and more cost effective but for beginners who probably underestimate the importance of steralizing something ide say disposable is probably safest
the nickel technique really isnt a good technique.. skin is thicker and thinner in some areas. so if u have ur needle sticking out the thickness of a nickel and tattooing the inside of a wrist or something then the needle is likely too deep.. just saying. but i know they say that is basic but shouldnt be used as a direct go to technique.. need to learn where skin is thicker or thinner and adjust ur depth from there
AllHustleNoSleep Yea but a beginner probably don't know that lol. I hang my needle out when I am doing lines so that I can see exactly where my needles are at. Just saying that ppl that are serious about tats should take the time to learn how to judge skin thickness. Keep up the vids my friend
I came upon this watching time lapse videos on tattooing, I'm a professional artist please do not set up or use any of this cheap Chinese equipment. And also the way he set up his machines is completely wrong, hate to burst your bubble

i see a whole shit ton of ebay tattoo stuff, pls dont buy ebay tattoo supplies, they will give you ebay performance.... and why does it sound like you are wearing a mask lol?
That's a Chinese set up at it you don't have a auto clave I bet you don't even know what temperature it's got to get to for it to be sterilized at it I could point out more but why waste the time 😂
Richard Piunti hey you have a lot more to say other than these haters. I appreciate your comments and feedback . Myself I always want to learn more . I know it is at 135' Fahrenheit to sterilize anything contagious ! So I always had a thermometer . But yes thank you that is another point I ever mentioned thank you
If you guys are just getting int the hobby and looking for the right first starter kit I recommend some of DragonHawks products. Here's a review on one of there starter kits ==> greatesttattooguns.com/

They should come with brushes that you pas through the tips. Clean it with water then through them in a hard steam boiler
Don't use metal if you're tattooing from home. disposable everything and get madicide or cavicide to sterilize the machines and work area, after you remove all protective barrier film.
I’m just saying wouldn’t it be easier to just buy the disposable tips and needles combos than having to clean the tube all the time?
Great video first off man, i really love tattoos and am quite covered myself but i just love the art form and would love to start tattooing on myself. you have any starter kits you would recommend?
Neil Campbell I am glad you love the art of tattooing ! And most definitely i only recommend American made tattoo kits .

I just bought a tts machine called the hybrid. It says on the specs that it can be set up as a liner or shader. Do you think I did a wise purchase?
It should be fine . I started with the same type. Just make sure your power is different from shading and lining
Thanks. I have another question. Where can I find practice needles and skin?

That's a Chinese set up at it you don't have a auto clave I bet you don't even know what temperature it's got to get to for it to be sterilized at it I could point out more but why waste the time 😂
Richard Piunti hey you have a lot more to say other than these haters. I appreciate your comments and feedback . Myself I always want to learn more . I know it is at 135' Fahrenheit to sterilize anything contagious ! So I always had a thermometer . But yes thank you that is another point I ever mentioned thank you
Richard Piunti also it was not Chinese it is from California !
