I made this recently. And I'm making it again tonight. When I made it, I took one half to work for my lunch. It smelled so good that everyone was talking about asking what restaurant I had gotten it from. So good.
Watched this episode last night and made my own tonight. Just used Bacon, italian sausage, onion and green pepper with the ricotta cheese. OMG thank you for this episode.
I could never enjoy watching someone else cook, until I came upon Sam the cooking guy. Just the right amount of humor and information. Thanks Sam! Keep up the good work.
Sam, I love the fact that you get so excited about your food. If I were to own a restaurant, I would not care if people liked my food...because I would only make things I would eat. Love your videos.
Gotta love all Sam's recipes. I make pretty much every thing you do... been told I need to open a restaurant 😂 sometimes I alter them to use what i have
I've been in the Foodservice business for 40 years! A former buyer in our company had his own distributorship for many years and was left high and dry by many customers who went bankrupt. He used to say every guy that knows how to grill a hamburger in the backyard, thanks he can open a restaurant!

Made these last night (tripled it for 6 calzones) the family was happy and well fed. I had extra filling, could have filled 8. I did a bag of frozen spinach, a lb of ricotta , 4 cheeses. His dough with jalapeño, amazing!!!
i made these for my husband and i for our monthaversary! i used the same ingredients for mine and i tweaked his to have pepperoni, sausage, and lots of chopped jalapeños along with the 3 cheeses and he absolutely loved it! i cant wait to try to make something else, thanks so much! :)
That was the most entertaining cooking videos I've see, and I do watch a lot because I'm trying to teach myself to cook. Thank you Sam, I can't wait to try this!
This recipe has changed my life. I make this for the fam every other Friday or Saturday. You must use the instant yeast, but I let my dough rise for at least 4 to 5 hours. The key is to make sure the dough stays moist and sticky. Adding a little more flour at the end to prevent the dough from sticking to your hands is better than an over floured dry dough ball. The final product gets better every time I try the recipe. Lastly, try using King oyster mushrooms! They are even better in my opinion. Good luck!
I love watching the show. Sam is hilarious and the food always looks amazing! It always cracks me up when he wipes his face with the roll of paper towels! 🤣🤣
I'm making this right now. Dough is slow to rise because I didn't have the rapid rise kind. Didn't have spicy italian sausage so used meatballs with added italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Had all three cheeses and the spinach, onion, garlic, and crimini mushrooms. We shall see.
I'm glad I found this channel cause Sam approaches cooking the same way I do. And I could hardly explain it before. When I cook, I just know what I want and how things should cook together. Recipes are not required when you know what you want and can envision the finale product. You just figure out what goes inside and how it needs to cook
Btw to clarify things, the knife Sam is using is Not a meat cleaver, it’s known as a Chinese chefs knife or Vegetable cleaver. It is used for all general cutting of meat and vegetables but it is Not designed for cutting through bones, that has to be done with a dedicated meat cleaver which is much heavier and tougher than the vegetable cleaver for which would break if you tried cutting through solid bones.
I watch now every evening and of course will make some of these dishes, so easy and tasty, my wife has handed me the keys to the kitchen after nearly 60 years married in December.

I love how EVERY TIME he eats something he reflexively flinched and throws his hands under his face. He does it with everything. You’d think by now he’d figure out how to get an entire bite into his mouth. Then there’s the wiping his face with the whole roll of paper towels. I’ve seen him do it even when both hands are free. John Doe Probably can’t taste it
Maybe a little hint of jalapeños

Me too... but Without the seeds there would be absolutely no heat.
Jalapeños without the seeds is a bell pepper with a little kick. And the bread absorbed the kick.
Was hoping to hear how the jalapeños turned out after all that hype lol
Right????? must not have been noticeable at all
Try it and find out. Each to there own looks tops tho
Don’t the seeds usually have the heat?
