We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ Развлечения
Can we take a moment to appreciate max. These edits are on fucking point
Spark one up in honor of Max and the power of the edits😤💨💨💨
Big facts! Max stay MVPing the video edit game!!
We love you Max!
Thank you Max!! 👏🏼
Yeet
The produce guy was the same dude that determined how many pickles go on a Popeyes chicken sandwich.
Allen
Or think its okay to come home from Wuhan, China and breathe on everybody.
@GeorgeNewcomb. LOL. That’s exactly what I wanted to comment too. The produce guy’s name is Allen. Lol
I got 3 small ones.
Eric Edwards what was the name of that vid??? I’ve been trying to find it
The passion while he explains why you shouldn't wash mushrooms gives me joy and I love watching passionate people cooking things they enjoy
Same. Except you can totally wash mushrooms lol
@Carrie See nah mushrooms are already full of water so it doesnt matter, they dont absorb more water, its a myth
@Carrie See check out Alton Brown episode of good eats on mushrooms. Youbare just washing them not ketting them sit in water. No water gain
Even if they sit in water and soak them up cooking them evaporates the water, mushrooms are already 90% water anyways.
@@yotuyotuyo9999 9^
He looks so smart and professional. And then he goes and takes a bite and burned himself a second time 🤣😜🤣
Hey Sam,
Pro tip: let foods cool slightly before eating them and you’ll be able to enjoy them more.
Yeah this is not live lol. Give Max some more editing lol.
If you've watched him long enough, he's not stupid, he does it, intent, for effect.
screw your tip lol people wanna eat while its fresh & hot. Plus they outside, u wanna wait for bugs to get to it and the winds make the shit cold?
😆
@@rickhurley7653 You’re absolutely right. That’s what makes him unique and original.
This man nuts every time he takes a bite of anything
It's a fucking persona man...lmfao, if you really watch, you can tell what he likes the most!
Nah bro the man actually ejaculates everytime he consumes a morsel of food
It's called 'Knowing how to cook.'
I can achieve the same look on my wife's face, every meal, because I, like Sam, ....can cook.
If you can cook and make someone laugh, you will never be lonely or wanting.
If you were eating what he's making wouldn't you?
So do I 🤔😜😊😂
Sam, the Shepard's pie part had me laughing so hard, you always inspire me and make me smile every single video. Your the best!!
The fact that you went back for a 2nd bite of the shepherds pie knowing you’ll burn yourself so bad said it’s worth it. I can’t wait to try this at home. Maybe not with store bought mashed but I see what you were going for. Thank you for taking the time out to share this with us.
Oh I forgot to mention, that Peanut butter and jelly reminded me of my English muffin pb&js...Soo good
As I set here laughing my ass off when Sam (as he so often does) burns his mouth on food that is too hot. Made my day...again!
21:58 I was waiting for him to transform into a gargoyle.
TimmyS27 I KNOOOW!! I said Max bout to edit the fvck outta this... horns and shyt...
🤣🤣🤣
Shepherds Pie Recipe below: Since the good folks here don't do recipes and I need them, I figured I should help Make America Cook Again and share it.
Easy Shepherds Pie from STCG
1 C of frozen carrots and pea in a warm cast iron pan
Add a lb of Ground beef/veal/pork
A little salt and pepper
Add minced garlic to taste (bloom in the center of the pan before mixing)
A a tbsp of tomato paste from a tube (easy to store.)
Add 1-2 C beef broth
Add a cornstarch slurry (Tbsp water and corn starch)
Simmer til thickened
Top the cast iron with store bought mashed potatoes
Garnish with paprika
Bake at 350 for 15 mins
A true hero
Shepherds pie is made with lambs mince hence the name
22:02 is literally my reaction when I bite something to hot 😂😂😂
Why can’t we control ourselves? 🤓
@@samthecookingguy I jump when that happens, i don't know why hahahahaha
"Everybody. Everyone goes in."
Noodle at 18:17 "am I a joke to you?"
Thank you bro, i loled hard
Alton Brown debunked that mushroom myth back in 2000 on the Fungal Gourmet episode of Good Eats. J Kenji Lopez-Alt also did tests with it only adding about 1% water to the mushrooms, which only takes seconds to evaporate at temperature. It’s unnecessary to keep pushing out of date ideas, and with the prevalence of food-borne illness and deregulation running rampant right now, it might be a much better idea to wash and add a bit of heat time. The old ways are not always the best ways.
☝️thank you. The idea that we wash everything else that grows in the ground except mushrooms is so weird. Wash your food!
@@JaronPower Except 'shrooms are grown in a special dung-rich blended soil. Adds that extra "earthiness" to the flavor. Kind of like the coffee beans that are removed from the dung of monkeys before roasting. Mmmm-mmmm.
@@jcwoods2311 But the coffee beans are washed prior to roasting.
Don't let some guy on RUclips tell you NOT to wash your mushrooms, because you SHOULD. In our professional kitchen we wash ALL produce, no exceptions, our health inspector would take points off for not washing mushrooms that literally grow in s*#t.
Came here to say this, you should def wash mushrooms as with all fresh produce
Philly Spring Rolls recipe below: Since the good folks here don't do recipes and I need them, I figured I should help Make America Cook Again and share it.
Philly cheese steak spring rolls from STCG
1/2 C ea Diced onion, green pepper
1 C creminis all diced. Soften in fying pan.
Add a pound of ground veal, beef, or diced rib eye
Add dash of salt and worchestershire.
Finish cooking.
Get some provolone slices, cut into strips.
Spread a spring roll wrapper out.
Fill with 2/3 Tbsp of meat and some cheese, roll like a firm burrito
Seal edge with a wetted finger.
Set on to a parchment lined sheet.
Coat the prepared rolls in olive oil
Bake at 350 for 20-25 mins
Every single time he goes to eat a HOT fucking bite, I’m yelling “Don’t do it! Wait!”
Sam's facial expressions at the hot food have been on point today 😂
Im not convinced the gardeners exist at this point who tf cuts their grass that much
Backfromthedead Again yeah and in a place where it hardly ever rains lol
*inserts “gardener” sounds when he accidentally lets one loose*
Backfromthedead Again it’s Jilly Max’s Wife making noise to try gaining attention. She feels left out.
There is probably an HOA which comes out to measure the grass length
Especially mowing the lawn so often during COVID
Whenever Sam eats you never know if he’s gonna say “holy shit this is amazing” or “holy shit I just burned tf out of my mouth”
Give us a weekly shopping list so we can cook along. Please!
Agreed, I need a shopping list made from Sam's videos.
"Dumbest Best Thing Ever" should be a tshirt.
100% I thought the same thing! Lol
I’d buy it
From what I had learned in my food safety class is that you should wash your mushrooms if they're still whole, but do it right before cooking or else they will get slimy. If they are pre sliced, do your best to wipe any dirt or grime on the mushroom and maybe do a quick sprits of water with them in a colander then quickly pat them all dry with paper towel.
I don't think I've ever bought pre-sliced ones, so I'm golden, and I'm totally with you. They're getting washed.
As a former "produce guy", almost anything can end up in the floor and into the rack, especially the freaking strawberries, those stupid containers are junk and split open every chance they get. You really should wash stuff anyways, it's probably been in dirtier places than the floor before it was even packed and delivered to the store.
100%. The thing is, most of these farms are using some kind of illegal labor and not providing adequate, available restrooms... so... where do you think they poop on massive fruit and vegetable farms? Yep. In the middle of the field.
Wash your fruits and vegetables. At least rinse them (even mushrooms - rinse gently and drain on paper towels at least).
Sam you got one of the best channels on the net ... don’t change a damn thing ever
Whenever Sam takes his first bite it looks like he sharted himself.
He reminds of Thurgood from Half Baked getting the weed from the medical place
Parma Papa MAUI WOWIE ! “ why you didn’t tell me you smoke weed? We could have been hangin out months ago !? 😂 first thought as well hahaha
more like "creamed" himself. I do every video he puts out!! Dood needs to be on FOOD NETWORK!!!
My drink just shot out of my nose - thanks!
Honestly I mimicked his Filet-O-Fish recipe to the letter and I had the same reaction
I must be some kind of psychic. I was thinking about how he should do a munchies pt.2 earlier today
Not Psychic, Prophetic*
A. M me too!
We have the same initials
Super Bowl weekend yea you're psychic, lol
bruh wtf i thought the same thing
I have to say you guys are definitely making food life better! Thanks for these awesome time saving recipes.
there's a scientific study that shows that washing mushrooms doesn't affect them, it surprised me when I heard about it but it checked out.
I've been making grilled PBJ's most of my life. Glad you shared.
on a side note. am i the only person that loves background noise like the birds and lawnmower ? it just feels so home like 😂
Sam I couldn’t be more serious..........I’m subscribed to at least 150 channels and I must say yours is my favorite!!! Not only is the food delicious, but you and Max are very entertaining as well!!!! Thx for doing what you do!
Sam is probably the most fun person at every bachelorette party
This food is literally killing me slowly, and I want more. I also love the sound of mowing and garden work in the background. Like ambience noise to support the beauty of this food being made.
Here's an idea. Have a meal for the gardeners that are doin their f'ing jobs.
Boom!! "Why The Fuc* Not"... I agree!! Love Philly Cheese steak Egg rolls!!
Sam, made the cheesesteak egg rolls Sunday and they were the hit of the party. Tonight it was the shepherds pie and again, home run! Thank you and Keep up the great videos.
Love that Sam is becoming a big name in Food RUclips. Can’t wait to see what’s next every few days #SamToTheMoon
3:25 - Alton Brown did an episode on food myths (mythbusters style) ages ago in the original series. Mushrooms *don't* soak up water like a sponge. It's a myth.
Thank you, I also came to say this.
No, but they do get slimy.
@@gryndyl only if you wash them and don't cook them within a few hours.
Sam: "You don't rinse mushrooms. How dare you even work in produce if you think mushrooms are to be rinsed."
Also Sam: "I will absolutely continue to refer to this spring roll as an egg roll as if there's no distinct difference."
Great episode. Saved to my "Cooking" favorites. Thank you!
Voted already. Good job guys ! Thanks for all the deliciously amazing and easy recipes !

I think that your cooking is great ! You just know that if you make it ,it will be great. But what I really enjoy is how proud you are of your sons and you show it..

It's a Cottage Pie.

Now gentlemen.... Challah Bread French Toast Grilled PBJs. It doesn’t matter when, where or the fucking timeline or universe! That would be a beautiful munchies meal
Yup who cares if it's for superbowl or 420! These are some awesome munchies. But that PB&J is most definitely an 420 munchie!
I lost it when Sam bit into the Sheppard's pie oh fuck lmao and the pbnj omg lmao Sam's the best man
Dude, you rock. I grew up eating grilled peanut and butter jelly sandwiches, and I've never seen anyone else make one. THE BOMB!
His reaction to putting molten magma in his mouth IS CLASSIC
The last 3 minutes of every episode:
Me: "It's still steaming, Sam, don't put that in your mouth!"
OMG!!! I've been grilling my pbj's for years on my George Foreman!! (I live in a super small apt)
U make it look SOOO much better!!! Thx Sam! Can't wait to make the shepard's pie!!
i love how real you guys keep it... you don't edit everything out to make the "perfect script"
23:30. Anyone who questions the pb&j needs to try it. I've been doing it for years. I'm never going back to a cold pb&j. I wrote this before I heard Chance say that lol.
Also, put butter on the inside, too. I'm not sure if he did that too.
i fell off my chair laughing at 21:06 seriously!!! That bobbing and weaving around shit was too funny man
24:47 Sam let's out a Rip!! 😂😂
Mac n Chee recipe below: Since the good folks here don't do recipes and I need them, I figured I should help Make America Cook Again and share it.
Easy Lobster Mac n Cheese from STCG
Melt 1/2 C butter
Cut the thick side of the lobster tail shell with scissors
Follow by slicing down through the tail but leaving the belly plate.
Split open the tail flat.
Brush on butter, Salt, Pepper, old bay.
Grill flesh up for several minutes, then flesh down to finish.
In remaining melt butter, add 1 C panko, S&P. Set aside
Drain noodles, add cheese packet, butter, milk, plus a cap of vermouth, pinch of old bay, mix.
Pull Lobster meat from shell. Dice coarse chunks. Add to pasta (reserve a topper)
Pour noodle mix into a cast iron pan. Top with panko mix.
Garnish with lobster. Bake in the oven.
I've been voting daily since day 1 Sam the man. By the way, my favorite "Sam-ism" are the over the glasses looks after a bite whilst looking for the roll of paper towels to wipe your mouth, AND..... every time your lack of patience gets the best of you and you place a spoon sized serving of LAVA HOT FOOD in your mouth. Cracks me up every time. Btw, absolutely LOVE your vids 👍
Cottage pie = ground beef, Shepherd's pie = lamb. (But you knew that...) Just a thought, why don't you keep a glass of water nearby for when you are scalding your mouth?
who cares, it is good no matter how you prepare it or slice it up :D:
@@yogib37 Just breaking Sam's balls!
I was just going to say this! Standards! :)
Agree - standards!!
Legit hilarious loved it! I need to send y’all some autumn fire roasted hatch green Chile from here in New Mexico!
just found this channel, it is officially my favorite... hi from San Clemente
Guys, for the love of all headphones and earbuds users, please increase your volume a little. I think I've lost about 20% of my hearing capacity just from one obnoxious mobile game's ads being so much louder than the video
Gonna enjoy a “super bowl” and devour all of this. Munchies don’t stand a chance
21:23 When you remember your online assignment is due at 11;59 and it’s 11;55
OMG, this was a great vid and funny af! Definitely sharing this one with my friends!
Just one upped our super bowl dish. Well done sir 🙏🏼
Knives and Tequila that dip looks legit tho
Austin Redford the tequila really sets it off ya know
So the “shepherds pie” you made with ground beef isn’t a shepherds pie. It’s a cottage pie. Shepherds pie is made with lamb. You know because shepherds look after sheep
Looked to see if anyone else was going to say the same thing.
So do cottages look after cows
@@vanessajayde The sunday joint was sometimes Beef. Those who live in 'cottages' used to be on low incomes. So they would make some sort of meal out of the scraps of the Sunday joint and the vegetables they had in their kitchens. What they came up with was a minced beaf dish with mashed potato on top, and it was just called 'Cottage Pie' for ease of reference.
vanessajayde 10/10 logic. Brilliant reply. Not sarcasm
I made the same comment on Gordon's video. He did the same thing....... smh... Ramsay should have known better....i'll cut Sam a little slack !!
Oh and just being super picky... those were Wonton wrappers not spring roll....spring roll wrappers are typically rice paper and round....lol
Toasted pb&j is the best🖤 just binged a butt load of your videos. New subbie!
That mushroom rant Sam went on was really insightful! I had no idea you shouldn't put your mushrooms in water. And it makes sense! I always wondered where that extra water came from and I was always told to always wash your veggies in cold water. Damn I love SAM!!!!
21:00 Sam takes a bit of shepherd's pie and turns into a Werewolf 😯
I love how Sam has no problem putting cooked chicken the rack he just used for raw chicken, but freaks out if a mushroom fell on the ground.
the amount of cross contamination drives me insane. maybe he never gets sick, but it makes me nervous about his restaurant.
There was one episode where he said for the video they edit out things like washing stuff, including washing his hands.
I want to thank you from Germany for 30 minutes straight entertainment.
"Now's the time to spark one up for those PBnJ!" - brilliant
Lmao Why Was Sam Acting Like He Was Getting Possessed When He Burnt His Mouth
He cracked me up! He's just the best!
Because it fucking hurt.
Head on over to a wood fire and chew on a bit of glowing stick.
I was looking for this comment 💀 😂
"Why the Fuc* Not" Should be a t-shirt as well. My wife got me a signed book of yours for Christmas!
Omg Tio Sam! You fraking cracked me up when you took a bite of the shepherd’s pie and burnt your soul not once but twice 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best reactions by Sam by far. Know that feeling well!
According to Kenji Lopez-Alt's book the Food Lab there is no noticeable difference after washing mushrooms if you dry them afterwards. Wash your mushrooms people!
VDerway Alton Brown also did a show about it and got no real difference between washing and wiping off. It was the Mythsmasher episode.
Adam Gaver
Came here for this one.
That’s not a shepherd’s pie, beef is a cottage pie.
Just about to say the same
Yeah exactly
word slight mistake
shepards is Lamb mince, or quorn mince if vegetarian
In Scotland we call that a cottage pie. Shepard is lamb mince also has onion in them
Loved the video but lmfao 🤣 when you were eating the shepherds pie 🥧
Oh man, when you took that shepherds pie bite SO FUNNNNNYYYYY....., made my day! LOL
Max has a problem with Flesh being called Flesh, but not one word when Sam calls food kids. 😂😂😂
First, I would dice a ribeye, the same size as the mushrooms, secondly, Alton Brown PROVED that it is OK to wash, even soak your mushrooms!
What's the reasoning behind soaking the mushrooms
I mean, if you like soggy ass mushrooms you can wash or soak them.
I should've looked for this comment before I made my own but yes, exactly. You can absolutely wash mushrooms all you want in as much water as you want and they won't absorb an appreciable amount. It's a myth.
Why would you wash mushrooms the dirt taste is the best part
@@andrewm2786 If they're dried shiitake for example.
I pick mushrooms in the rain all the time and they're just fine, as long as you're not soaking them in water you'll be good. It's personal preference I suppose
"It's the dumbest best thing ever" should be on a shirt and have a pic of a grilled PB&J right below it.
*beanut putter & jelly*
Gray Thanks for noticing that, lol. I corrected it.
Pep's Channel change it back or fat
Y’all need to do a episode where max cooks and you film. It would be so amazing!!
Also Sam, those $10 or less employees that get treated poorly aren't trained. The store you went to obviously doesn't invest or care in their employees.
Sam Love ya Bud .Learning a lot Thank you
YESSSSSSSSS! THIS IS MY FAVORITE SERIES!!!
Have to disagree on the mushroom myth. Alton Brown covered that on an episode of Good Eats (season 8, episode 15). While mushrooms will absorb a tiny bit of water it is an insignificant amount.
Yup. Sam makes shit up, often.
So mushrooms can have little a bit of water, as a treat?
Makes shit up often? Sam should be the good eats HOST.
He don't wash mushrooms, chicken, God -else we DON'T KNOW he washes. I'm starting to question his restaurant.....lol
Big_G_Dub you kill the bacteria off the chicken when you grill it so
Sam, I love ya, dude BUT that is not a shepherds pie...That's a cottage pie. Shepherds pie is made with minced lamb....... Damn it looks good tho!!!!
Damn it. Someone always beats me to the comment section.
legit what i said to myself. this guy owns a restaurant and shit and doesn't know the difference between shepherds and cottage pie
skullrider56YT I mean cardi b owns 5 super cars but doesn’t know how to drive.
Ha i just commented about this and now deleted as you’ve already said how it is
Salute this man for sacrificing the roof of his mouth every episode 😂😂
Sam, I've been watching you since Channel 4 in Vegas - when was that? I love most everything you do. Today, though, you've crossed a line. I'm from New England. Grilled lobster? Really? I don't really care; sounds yummy. You finally made my absolute favorite food from my childhood. My husband makes it for me when I'm feeling down. We called it fried pbj. Greatest food EVER!
I thought sam caught the coronavirus and was starting to become a zombie for a second there 😂💀
Shepherd’s Pie = Lamb, Cottage Pie = Beef
Nobody cares 😂
In north america we call the beef version Sheppards pie. No one here really ever makes the lamb version.
I always assumed shepherds and cottage pie was just a British thing. Proper winter dishes you can't go wrong. Glad to see its enjoyed over the water too

Then goes back for more 😂
Haha and now it’s numb lol.

Love the videos. Love the down to earth, my kinda attitude while cooking (in your case, art). My one question, what is that dark round humongous cutting made of?
No lie, the grilled pb&j is my go to and im glad hes putting more people onto it. Worth it
