Neat install and also the fact you taken into account the other equipment around it so aesthetically pleasing!! Enjoy your vids Chris. Keep them coming.
I used to find the problem with the earth terminals only used to take up to 16mm and that was 15 years ago you would have thought that consumer unit manufacturers would have made one of the terminals to take 25mm considering this is now more the norm. The video stopped a bit abruptly at the end Chris.
Hi why not just replace Hager RCDs for Hager Rcbos and link the neutral bars together with a linking kit although i do not think hager have ever been called cheap before.
Don’t even need to watch the video to answer the question. The simple answer is because it’s a Hager, so that’s the only reason ever needed to swap it out 😂
Remember James....you cant use your phone while playing football 😂 / you say...cheap board..its a Hagar....! ! and your fitting Fusebox . .fair enough its rcbo ...never heard Hagar , called cheap
Absolutely yes. Few reasons we didn’t. It’s in a cupboard along with lots of other surface mounted tech. Lots of cables running behind in zone. Cables coming from top and bottom of board so would of had to cut out lots more plasterboard to juggle it in the gap. Solid brick wall behind so board would of still protruded 25-30mm. With this certain install adding circuits at a later date will be easier on surface. Anything else ….. it was Friday Oh yes fire grommets are really expensive and the budget didn’t allow for them.

2:36 I'm not a spark with with the original board, it seems like many of the old connections have too much copper exposed
No SPD….. it was fitted 5 years ago.
No need for SPD.

Nice work, editquest are local to me in Luton
The whole electrical installs been a shower of shit.
I'm being cheeky but it seems from the otherside of the pond everytime you need to add or replace a device it's a consumer swap out lol 😆
Yeah seems that way but Jo always the case if you leave enough spare ways for the next guy.

standard electricians :)
Doesn’t look like you tested it after install
Could you not have recessed the board into the wall?
I want the answer to this too :) Not that I'm suggesting one should, I know nothing. I'm only here to learn!
Pointless
Do you have a link to the adhesive used on the grommet strip please? Thanks

Earth leakage
Never had any problems I believe but yes rcbos will solve most earth leakage overloads as effectively we’ve now got 16 rcds instead of 2
