Absolutely unbelievable skills by DJ. Anything can happen in split seconds. The transitions is on elite level.
we will probably never see another fighter as well rounded as DJ is. Timeless.
valentina seems up there, just not as stiff competition so difficult to say how much is her greatness and how much is lack of competition

@@sugarbro880 Jones is my GOAT regardless of what happens at HW (which i do think hell fight and win at), but his jiu jitsu is nowhere near as dynamic as DJ's. DJ's outside striking isnt as diverse as Jon's though, so it probably balances out
Mighty mouse still has amazing transitions and such when grappling like when he was in the ufc. Flyweight GOAT no doubt
GOAT of all divisions in my books. Regardless of what people have said about his level of competition over the years i don't think there is a better example of a complete martial artist in MMA. Wrestling, Grappling, Stand up, athleticism. Dude has it all. His biggest struggles have been at a size disadvantage for the most part.

@@OpenPhoenix yeah he really struggled to close in on Tim on the feet so he adjusted and spent the remainder of the fight on the ground. These guys in one have beena good challenge for him as well

Once DJ manages to get through or survive the first (Muay Thai ruleset) round, it's pretty much a hundred percent certainty that he's going to finish Rodtang in the second (MMA ruleset) round by submission (obviously though) Rodtang can't possibly survive DJ's relentless and overwhelming pace, pressure, transitions, and high-level chain grappling/wrestling.
dj’s older than he was when he hit 11 defenses. it’s how he got caught by moraes with that knee: he’s slower.

Mighty Mouse looked more like a Honey Badger fighting a Cobra. I have never seen Yuya Wakamatsu before this fight but now I am glad I have. Even in defeat he looked wonderful, too bad he had to stand in the shadow of a giant for this one.
Yuya is slippery man. If I was in a side control like that I would struggle. I do BJJ so it's fine cause no one is punching my face in lmao. props to him for putting such a good fight. More entertaining then DJ Vs Rodtang.

@@user-tz9jh6pv2jnah there might be a couple extra boos for a foreign fighter when they announce their names but generally american audiences will applaud talent rather than nationality. In other countries like England and the Netherlands a foreign fighter will be subject to incredible abuse

This is wrestling and jiu jitsu to the finest, beating the bigger stronger man. Yuya had the strength to scramble out of positions but DJ had the technique to keep getting him back to the ground and into winning positions

would have preferred the whole deal without cuts
Cardio and continously pressur is basically what won this for him. Yuya looked better in the first round but looked gased in the next ones. Johnsons cardio is insane. To be moving like that constantly and not tire. Yuya has a bright future though. Only 23 here!
The camera men need to chill with th zooming in and out was hard to watch.
