Da Beach Boys are one of my favorite orks armies I've ever seen. The grot rebellion is pretty awesome too!
straight up one of my favourite armies I've ever seen. Not just Orks. Heck not just 40k
Cow-Waaaaaaagh-bunga!
They look awesome! Summer fun in full swing! Definitely going to try for it with some Soulblight :)
Oi! Two of my favorit ladz iz fightin???
The surfer orks are the best army I´ve ever seen! I hope they're tournament legal too!
Who cares about 'tournament legal' any tournament that hasn't got the sense of humour to allow such an awesome custom job doesn't deserve to exist...
Only one that’s dubious is Da Big Kahuna but the others all look like legit conversions
@@queencyrys6309 The spear Boyz are the other thing I'm iffy on just because it's 2 Boyz on 1 oval base. They may call him on that too.
Someone had made an imperial guard army made out of gross who dress as the imperial guard. Look it up, it's amazing.
I believe some of his boss nobs were on larger bases than the regular Boyz and both models are supposed to use 32mm but I might not have seen them correctly
What happened to the start collecting battle reports? They were so fun!
They will return!
@@MidwinterMinis horray! **exagerated gesturing**
@@MidwinterMinis nice
Grandfather Nurgle happened
@@K.E.L-117 must be some Tzeentch scheme
I always believed that the human throat was incapable of naturally replicating a proper Ork Warcry. Simon annihilated that belief with his flawless Waaagh.
When I started the video I immediately knew that in the end orks win, so instantly great report 😎
In any battle with orks, no matter who actually claims victory, the orks win.
Huh. Now this is a collab I did not expect to see. Simon is awesome, love his channel. I'm amazed at the creativity of his army. Absolutely brilliant.
🙏🙏🙏
100%
"I think we can both agree that it's pretty stupid to bring a stompa to a thousand point game." ~'That' Guy. "I wanted to bring the gargant."
For those of you who aren’t familiar with his stat sheet: Makari has a 2+ invulnerable save and a stabba that can deal D3 mortal wounds on a 6. He can tank a hit from a Custodian and then stab him to death. Which is why it’s hilarious that despite all of his luck, he still dies in a tragic car crash before he can get into combat. Classic Orks.
I'm not sure but when you emergency disembark I think you roll dice for all minitures embarked and then chose who dies when you roll a 1. You don't do the units individually you just do everything embarked at once. I could be wrong.
you're correct - Poor Makari, dead before his time T_T
this
You are very much correct. Per the rules; "If a transport is destroyed, any units embarked within it immediately disembark (see below) before the transport model is removed, but you must then roll one dice for each model you just set up on the battlefield. For each roll of 1, a model that disembarked (your choice) is slain. Units cannot declare a charge during the same turn that they disembarked from a destroyed transport. [[Core Rules Pg. 9 - Updated in Core Rules FAQ Pg. 2]"
And for emergency disembark it's 1s and 2s not just 1s
@@busterbackster1 TBF, i think he just said emergency disembark coz that's what it used to be called, and didn't realise there was a strat for that
I’d love to see more Ork VS Ork games. Seeing different lists and units duke it out never gets old
39:55 The classic Gorkamorka terrain looks a bit like an ork beachfront tiki lounge. It looks great with the beach bases. Do any of the orks Dr. Clark's army have a sand castle on their base?
Lovely warsurfers too! My bikers ride Greenskinz Starter Box pigs with strap-on dakka gun saddles, if anyone is ever up for a beach barbecue battle report.
Aloha until next time!
Oh my god, the Beach Boyz are so good. I wanna see the entire force, these are just so good I hope they're not all there is.
There's a little more! I've got more boys and a unit of grots, and recently I've assembled but not painted a squigbuggy (the only unconverted thing in the army, it's already a beach buggy lol) and some killa kans (giant coconuts with killa kan limbs). Would love to expand my lootas and add another few buggies and maybe even some grot tanks!
@@SimonClark Awesome! They're a fab conversion effort, and so lovely and vibrant!
@@SimonClark The HaWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH-an shirts are amazing.
I haven’t even watched the whole thing yet but already know it’s going to be awesome. There really is nothing as fun in 40k as an Ork vs Ork game.
As the resident jerk in my friendship group who routinely brings Knights to our 500-1000 point hobbying days, outstanding move Guy ;)
That WWAAARRGHHHH was amazing.
Haven't seen MrSimonClark in a long time. Since he was in some Yogscast videos, in fact.
Maybe we'll see a collab with the Battleboys at some point.
Don't get my hopes up
I could definetly imagine seeing Guy on the new Games Night Podcast, hopefully Simon is just the in and not the end.
OMG Simon's converted ork army is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!
Totally loved the "get back to basics" 40k without objectives and crappy competitive rules. Just plain 40k fun
to be fair, objectives and those competitive rules are designed so that if one player decides to take a giant unkillable Apocalypse unit, the other player still has a chance to win the game.
What, so 40k is more fun without any reason to battle. I like a good tussle but its better when your fighting for something
The amusement you both took in the destruction of your own armies is a level of sportsmanship I hope to one day reach. I can get a little... involved in my gameplay and sometimes that means I'm not having as much fun as I should. Thanks for being a great example.
This collab has been a long time coming, and I'm so here fore it!
EDIT: That was a solid Waaagh!
23:32
Dude the beach boyz are incredible! Not only is the concept one of the best I've ever seen but the shirts and all are painted super well too
A battle report in under an hour. Nicely done. Two lovely looking armies...... A stomper in a 1000pt army is just brutal lol
36:25 The "Cutta" have the melta weapon rules in half rage, so it is +2 damage which would have put the stompa at 29 wounds!
"Looking for fives... ... I'm still looking."
Loved the battle report. This was so much fun. Battle reports can be longer as long as they're fun and entertaining like this. Nice video. Keep up the good work.
cant stop smiling after saw ork having a gud time.
that coconut tree tank busta killing me 😂
I can't remember the last time I watched and enjoyed a BR this much. This is the kind of warhammer that i love!
MORE BATTLEREPORTS PLS
ain't that what we all want
I did not expect Simon here but I'm happy ab-ork this!
That Custom Ork army themed as a beach force looks absolutely amazing
This video / Battle Report was Brilliant!! More please. As long as you keep the time under an hour, I think you have a great thing going.
I would've NEVER expected a Simon Clark battle report but I am so excited!
Love both armies. There both so color full and have something so unique about them!
Ha, no way. I watched a lot of Simon's PhD life videos as prep for starting my own and they were a big help! Loved this collab, nice to see such a relaxed and friendly fun game too.
Would love to see more of the start collecting battle reports
Thank you for saving me from boredom
I am ready for the chaos this is sure to be
super awesome battle report on others i cant like watch to end and this is short and funny and well processed.good job
omg your edit is insane
I miss this sort of hilarious, fun insanity from Warhammer. No alpha strikes and WAAC. No min-maxing. Just modelers' imaginations. Just goofy fun. It takes me back to the 90s.
bro this is such a fucking dream, like I'd never imagine two of my favorite content creators being in and making a video together
honestly the best battle report channel. so professional, clean and clear. tysm for making these
I just paused my TWWH3 Ogre campaign to watch this and what do I see? Beach boy Orks using converted Ogre minis! Awesome!
Absolutely great collab! Been waiting for it ever since I keep seeing Dr. Simon Clark in the comments, and absolutely did not disappoint
the disembark you rolled was incorrect.
you should've rolled 11 dice at the same time and then you choose which models die. so characters are safe.
edit: forgot to add "awesome report
Finally! Simon appears in a Warhammer video!
Nice, cool to see Simon on here
What I like about your channel is how you have a project of building and painting a model, except unlike other RUclipsrs you actually use them in the game. Much more appealing to newbies like me.
"When a stoppable force meets a movable object" HAHA xD
Beach orkz look great. Makes me wanna paint my Combat Patrol in this way. Good game!
This takes you one step closer to the yogacast. Fantastic.
absoluetly love the hawaian themed orks hats off for the conversions ... and imagination for coming up with the idea ...thank you both very much for just playing 40k with tongue in cheek way of palying it just for an afternoons bit of fun ahahaha
Wowa! This is the most creative Waaaagh I have ever seen 🤩
The music really reminds me of the old Populace beginning game, great batrep!
By Gork (or possibly Mork), that was a good chuckle!
I appreciate Dr Clark dressing to match his boyz. That's the sort of dedication ya love to see!
This was a fun colab and I don't know whats up with your editing but your battle reports are the only ones I enjoy watching
Love the orky karnage on display here. And lovely models there, Dr. Clark. Please do some more of these with Guy. It was a lot of fun to watch.
Whoa, it's Simon, this is so cool!
WAAARRRGGGHHH!! Brilliant, thanks Guy ☺
Your editing makes these hands down the best battle reports on youtube.
Finally the ork on ork fight I've been looking for thank you both for this video
Gods this is like worlds colliding, love both your content and Dr. Simon's stuff too! Fantastic battle report between two fantastic armies, loved it :D
Absolutely incredible surfer orks. This is what the tabletop hobby is all about: kitbashing some wacky models, and having them beat on other models until one of them falls.
Feel that Simon's Surf-Boyz (which looked fantastic) could really have done with some power claws or something. Still this was a really fun report, would love to see Simon on the channel again.
Beach boyz were so awesome lol.
Hate to be that guy, but you actually can’t reroll the smite mortal wounds roll. It’s technically not a damage roll since it’s a roll to see how many mortal wounds are taken.
Also, for the disembark after the trukk was killed you roll all the dice for everything embarked. Then you pick what dies for the 1’s you roll. So if you rolled two 1’s you could’ve just killed two Gretchen
This is absolutely increddible! SO MUCH FUN XD
I liked the themed ork v ork battle. Super good.
Simons orks are one of my favorites if seen online. And idk if anyone else played it but those orks remind of The duke nukem Caribbean expansion
Looking forward to seeing the Beach Boyz face off against the Towel Empire
Firstly: I LOVE those beach boyz. Absolutely awesome.
Secondly: will you be doing anymore of the start collecting/combat patrol bat reps?
Those are some of the most beautiful orks I’ve ever seen :’))))))
Loved this, both gorgeous armies and some top drawer banter! Would love to see more of these in future.
No worries, but Makari can live there. When your car gets wrecked, you roll one pool of dice equal to the total number of models inside and kill one, from any squad, for each 1.
I think. There's a lot of rules.
Yeah this. My friend got this rule wrong once and ended up 'losing' Drazhar.
I could not have possibly predicted this cross over but I am delighted none the less
Amazing army Simon!! Also I appreciate you taking out the rules bloat and keeping it simple, easy to follow.
Pre-battle prediction, Orks are going to win.
These Beach boyz are designed so awesomely. I really love this.
This is great I love both these channel’s and never expected them to collab thanks guy and Simon
Da Beach Boyz is the coolest army I've ever seen, the bases are fantastic and the whole design and kitbashes are beautiful!
Best battle reports on RUclips
Love to see the surfboards in use! Next time they'll get the Stompa!
I really enjoyed this, thank you guys.
Cool battle, great to see the Stomper.
I really enjoy all your battle reps and this one was no exception. Please more of it (and I wouldn´t mind, if there were some start-collecting-death-match ones among them). Thanks a lot, Guy and greetings to Penny.
Well done on that converted Ork army haha. Love the choice of models for the beach theme!
*Pushes glasses up onto his nose:* Can't re-roll the mortal wounds dealt by witchfire effect psychic powers.
This was a blast! You guys have such great synergy, the positive energy and quips we're awesome
Cool battle report nice to see the stompa in action but I think the slash attack is flat 3 damage I might be wrong
Those beach orks are just peak 40k!
This was great! Super fun!
Glorious beach army.
I would have prefer to see a game with objectives so the grots and the stompa had a bit more of an interesting tactical match. From the start it was fairly obvious what was going to happend.
Still nice vid
The first time a non-black base trim looks good!
Fantastic battle! Loved the army's.was slightly distracted as I recognize some of the background music but can't place it X(
The 50 attacks one wound bit are why I offloaded my Orks after my first two games. Fun as heck to paint them though.
So happy to see these two in the same room. Big fan of both. More please 😁
When ever I see that Ben Sherman my mind goes back Shaun from this is England, I own the same 😂
I'm a simple man. I see Dr Simon Clark. I like
Fantastic armies on both sides
