space marnies forgot ARMOUR OF CONTEMPT Each time an attack is allocated to an Adeptus Astartes, Sanctic Astartes, Heretic Astartes or Adepta Sororitas model, worsen the Armour Penetration characteristic of that attack by 1.
Also, the warp storm rolls happen at the beginning of the battle round, not the start of the daemon player’s turn. And, the minions of magic stratagem needs to be used before the hit rolls are made; “Use this Stratagem in your Shooting phase, when a HORRORS CORE unit is selected to shoot”.
Obsec was also stated a not allowed in the rules but was used. Huge fan of the series (and all MWM videos) but the play, and rules, felt sloppy in this one.
This is no kidding my favorite battle-report series on RUclips and contributed greatly to me getting into playing 40k on the Tabletop. The small, easily digestible games mixed with excellent blow for blow commentary and camera shots make this 👌. Please keep them coming!
This is one of the two Start Collecting battles that I've been so stoked to see. Eagerly awaiting the T'au and their day in the sun. But holy hell, this fight had some real ups and downs, edge of your seat thrills for sure. I've sorely missed this series.
There is a T'au start collecting box. I don't think they're being made anymore, but they definitely were made and Guy has shown it off in his pile of shame videos, IIRC.
How so? After the space marines got turn 1 I thought it was sure to be their game. Then the player playing them did the most horrendous moves thought by man throughout the whole game. Suppressors stop overwatch and Tzeentch have hardly any melee. I mean, the infiltrators literally get more attacks in melee than with shooting, and instead of moving close to getting in melee he orbital bombardmented.
So happy to see the return of deathmatch! I have never played a game of Warhammer, but the narration and editing in these really keeps me up to speed and interested.
For a lot of people it was the speed painting tutorials, but for me it was these fantastic battle reports that made me discover your channel. I learned much more how to play 40K from you than from anything else. Thank you!
I'm glad you continued the series. Start collecting's are slowly disappearing into the past. In my country most of them can no longer be found already. So your videos are like a farewell tribute for old boxes before they will be completely replaced by Combat Patrols. But it means you can always launch a second season with new boxes in the future so I call it a win-win.
Wohoo, fun little battle! Just remember, you can't CP the mortal wounds given out from Smite, as it is not considered a damage roll (which is characterized as one that comes from a weapon profile).
Shame to see a lot of core and very important army rules get forgotten & people using abilities they aren't allowed to, but its a fun battle nonetheless due to your great presentation style
hell yeah! super glad to see the series back! altho, i think you forgot some rules? or i misunderstood how this series works.. i noticed you didn't use armour of contempt for thr soace marines, which makes them alot tougher! anyhow. lovely video, keep up the good work!
Glad to see this series back! I'm just about to try playing Tzeentch Daemons, too, so it was interesting to see them in action. A couple rules nitpicks (in addition to the Armor of Contempt that many already mentioned, oops!): It's very easy to miss this, but you can't actually give a relic to a Fateskimmer, as Daemon characters that are also vehicles can't have relics. I only noticed that because BattleScribe wouldn't let me assign a relic to my own Fateskimmer. Also, you can't re-roll the number of mortal wounds a psychic power inflicts; while the Command Re-roll text mentions damage rolls, a "damage roll" is defined as the damage characteristic of a weapon.
@@dmazt combat patrol box sounds more futuristic than “start collecting”. Look at GW’s 40K section on “start collecting” boxes, and they’re all combat patrols. Except for the older ones that came out before the name was combat patrol

Hey love your videos, your ork videos got me into 40K about a year ago and I’ve improved so much by watching your videos. Thanks for helping me get into this wonderful hobby
This was an awesome episode. Definitely could see a re-match. It is great that you are back to this series. Thank you for having great pacing and production on this. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
Alan is now my favourite thing to come out of this channel. When I start collecting space marines, any LTs or captains I run will be named Alan in his honour. God speed, Lt.
This comes at a perfect time as i found this channel researching 40k lore and looking at potentially getting into the tabletop and found these videos and was sad when i saw it had been a year since an upload on this series im so glad its back and cant wait till the next upload!
Love to see this series back! I wish there were full game battle reports shot and edited like this, it's SOOOO much more engaging than most of the ones out there, I'd be totally hooked on them!
Just watched the first 5 games in the last month and it inspired me to try Warhammer for the first time! So glad to see your continuing the series, keep it up man!
I'm so glad to see the series back; MWM battle reports always deliver! However, not to be a downer but, the game was incredibly sloppy between Ant forgetting about crucial SM abilities (Armour of Contempt, Auto-Wound 6s), and some slip ups regarding Daemon stratagems. Tho, it's easily blamed on bloody GW and their physical codices. If they'd just move to digital ones they can update on the fly then there'd have been way less issues like that when you don't have to scour through 3-5 books/articles just to stay up to date.
love the paint job on those space marines!.. ive been struggling to come up w a new paint scheme... tired of painting yellow lol... think i just found my inspo! ty!
A few things first need mention: 13 hours old, 32k views, 2.7k likes, and 328 comments. The video dropped 13 hours ago! Dude. You're popular! I really appreciated the camera work, the play by play from each player, use of smaller die for tracking wounds, and the vibrant colors of the Tzeentch miniatures. Also, enjoyed the pacing, length of video, and the overall tone. Special thanks to each of the players and to Guy for bringing this back. You're back in my watch list 'mate! 👊😎 Until next time!
@@andrewt9128 they used the comms and you can't use both, but if it was two squads he could've had one in the back with the gauntlet to protect the lieutenant and a second squad up front to use both bolter discipline and bolter drills on the mid objective. I think he played the eliminators best. And I definitely liked the plays ge made with the autocannons. But I would've been making more charges. The charges would've been key as they have a statistical superiority on first contact with everything but the chariot and skimmer. They also could've kept them back in their deployment zone.
YAAAASS, i was will this to have been uploaded when i clicked on youtube!! also cant wait for the "death by dice" volume 2, you've got some real bangers now!

Hope you enjoyed the match! Please no big spoilers in the comments, especially about who won or lost, thank you!
Amazing! So glad this series is back!
ITS BACK
Did the inks on the tzeentch minis hold up to handling? I was a bit concerned when you didn't varnish them.
space marnies forgot ARMOUR OF CONTEMPT
Each time an attack is allocated to an Adeptus Astartes, Sanctic Astartes, Heretic Astartes or Adepta Sororitas model, worsen the Armour Penetration characteristic of that attack by 1.
I loved these when they came out last year can't wait to see the true lord of start collecting
One of the things I really like about these is the slowly growing spattering of blood across the arena
'Slowly' is quite the understatement...
Really nice seeing the series back, but Ant forgetting the infiltrators getting auto wounds on hit rolls of 6 and armor of contempt hurt me
Also, the warp storm rolls happen at the beginning of the battle round, not the start of the daemon player’s turn. And, the minions of magic stratagem needs to be used before the hit rolls are made; “Use this Stratagem in your Shooting phase, when a HORRORS CORE unit is selected to shoot”.
I always write down every ability in a notepad for this exact reason - it's helped a lot!
Honestly I'm jealous of anyone who's able to keep track of all the different rules. I always wind up forgetting SOMETHING whenever I play.
He really forgot the #1 rule space marines use to not get chewed up, huh
Obsec was also stated a not allowed in the rules but was used.

I’m so glad to see this series and those amazingly painted screamers again!

Armor of Contempt minus one AP from all attacks on anything with the “Adeptus Astarties” keyword.
