So if u decide to ever change from pull start to closed backplate/starter box then there is an engine mount from the tlr 8 4.0 I believe(maybe the 3.0,one of those) that actually drops the engine down some so the flywheel sits farther down for the starter box. That flywheel is actually 1/8 buggy/truggy standard size. Keep up the sickening vids bro!
@@ian3166 Thats how it goes in R/C, especially for the basher as most support is based around the competitive racers that stay on top of the updated equipment. Especially since they made it so much easier for peoplr to get sponsored, thats how they make their profits, it is so competitive even for the manufacturers, the vehicles and parts get outdated every few years to make room for a new model. I know it sucks but its how its been forever in the R/C lifestyle.
Nimh receiver pack included, WOW! Stone clunk filter in the tank, WOW! A cheap Chinese engine that will always be available forever, good choice! Features like this make the competition wake up and take notice!
hey Corporate Nitro! yes, the Nimh pack being included is quite useful, not something that HPI cares about anymore, unfortunately. the only think I forgot to mention as a bad part here was the fact that the body cost about 70-80 bucks, lol. They r crazy!!
$80 for a buggy bodyshell. That’s corporate gouging. The pricing regulator needs a whistle blower to lodge an official complaint so the FBI can start an investigation. That’s an 8000% mark up. It corporate corruption gone wild. It’s the reason why corporate nitro gets a bad rep. Luckily we will outsource the body shells to an alternative Chinese manaufacuter to create competition which leads to a utopian nitro experience for savvy investors. #corporateNitro
Great vid enjoyed it. Buggy/truggy tip, bathtub enlargen the rear body mount hole. The chassis is designed to flex and if the body is fixed it takes the flexing through the shock tower body mounts. Breaks/cracks right there. But if you allow the body to slide at the mount by turning thr lexzn hole into a bath tub your golden. Body will last much longer. Happy ripping.
hey buddy! thanks so much! Glad you appreciated the video, im recording a very good REAL run video with this in the next few days. Just wait till you see this thing when it's tuned and on a proper soccer field, it will blow you away.
At least it appears you can get rid of the plastic steering arms and put in some real adjustable turnbuckles. After you replace all those and upgrade to some aluminum shocks, seems like it has some good potential.
hey dude! glad to have you here and supporting the NItroGang effort to make nitro great again! You gotta watch the running video on this thing btw, a follow-up I did.
hey dude! how you doing! Thank you for the head up on the track vids, there will be a Sickening track video out soon with a pair of t-maxx 3.3s and a Losi Truggy!.. Nitrogang!!>
Thats a nice buggy i have the losi xe and havent used it for 2 years since getting back into the nitro side id like one of these buggies i like the body shell that it comes id like to get myself a losi nitro buggy one day
Wish it had a charge jack on the battery box. Like some other RC nitro brands. Im sure you can just buy a receiver battery charge harness. Just wish it was included.
hey dude, yes, I know exactly what you mean. The easiest thing to do would be to buy a new power switch that includes a separate charge port for your battery. I use only these type of power switches, this way you don't need to buy specialty batteries and simply just charge though the external plug.
hey buddy! yes, that is a possibility, I've seen it done. But not worth the investment for me at this time, I'm satisfied with the servos as they are. Thanks for watching bro! A running video is coming out soon on this thing
hey buddy! yes, you're right about that. I just dont think they really should have done that, it seems like an obvious barrier and a way to get you to buy extra parts, you know. That was my point. But yes, you're 100% right. BTW, I've driven this buggy since, and I pretty much LOVE it, but it' slow.
hey bro! great suggestion, I do this on other RCs sometimes too. I was just making a point of the fact that they could have simply swisted the body clip mount by 90 degrees like they did in the front, you know. Just an observation, but you're 100% right bro. thanks!>
whats up bro! Thanks! This was the day I got this thing, forgot to release this video form back then, lol. Anyways, it's still good, gotta run it for real soon and Check the speed.
hey bro! Question for you, how about the gearing?? The top speed I get on this is only 30 MPH. The stock clutch bell is 17T on this model, that means I'd have a small chance in gearing up, I would have to get a smaller spur, what are your thoughts? Considering the 21 in this is staying as it is.
Bro when are we going to see the Losi speed nt I know you got one or know somebody with one I can’t find one anywhere I got the Losi 8truggie rtr great
I wish I had bought this two years ago when it was $350. Now it's almost $500 and that price makes me weigh it against the Kyosho MP9 TK14. I'm on the fence! Lol
hey buddy! I know exactly what you mean, I wish I bought one brand New Years ago too. This one I purchased used, I got pretty lucky with the price, but you just never know the risk involved with used nitro. The kyosho is nice too.
hey dude! yes, I could have ripped all though electrics there, but let me tell you this, it's not something I'm very proud of. They were mostly all brushed XL-5 models. LOL. About the grapes, in the winter the leaves alway off completely, they regrow in the warmer weather. Will be interesting to see the transformation as it warms up, I know you will keep an eye on that fence, llol..
Yeah but since they raised the price to $450-470$ Sadly now it's not worth it in my opinion now for a deal like yours for $250 that's a great price especially since it only had a a few tanks ran through it, I was going to get it when it first came out when it was around $350, but I waited too long the price is starting going on so I ended up getting to kyosho inferno neo 3.0. but I still haven't broken that and because I got it so when my Losi 8ight buggy v1 w/the 427 engine gos bad I'm going to clean it up and put it on the shelf
hey bro! yes, the rent price hike has also pissed me off, that's why I tried to get this thing used. Also it looks like the older cheaper KYOSHO buggies are all out of stock or soon to be discontinued I would say, and they also went up in price unfortunately. $350 was the sweet spot for this thing, I totally agree with that. At least these are usually in-stock unlike most KYOSHO products these days.
@@hybrid32494 yeah Kyosho pissed me off with the inferno gt2 so much slop in the suspension and the steering, and plastic shock towers on a $600 vehicle, their buggy is a lot better quality other than the plastic spur gear, but hey man great video like always! And that mid-range pipe is great, I have it on my losi buggy too.
ye man! you're right, I'm being to come around to the buggy world. Lets just hope the center diffs dont piss me off, lol. For the most part I'm liking them so far.
You don't " shut them down" like that you are just flooding it. Pinch the fuel line at the carb it helps with tuning and the proper way bc you can't get your foot in the flywheel.....nitro gang

hey buddy! Buggies like this almost never have a 2-speed setup, it's very very uncommon. There are some on-road based models that use a buggy platform that do have a 2-speed though. If you want more speed it's best to simply get a taller clutch bell.

They discontinued the engine mounts. How are people supposed to convert to starter boxes now? Scrounging around ebay? Luckily I got mine before that.
