I remember this wonderful channel called odd telling everyone to watch an unknown channel called yaba. The first time watching you guy's cutting off and ripping off large chunks of your hull until every piece was removed. I thought to myself, I couldn't imagine the day you and your amazing team would ever finish and splash your boat again. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your long and very tough journey with all of us.
3 and a half Years ! Every episode has been an absolute pleasure to watch. The lads in the boatyard have handled being RUclips stars brilliantly. I hope the exposure brings them all good fortune.
Watching this, hearing you two talking, seeing your excitement about this milestone ..... making me ... 68 year old Dutchman .... cry of happiness! You two are a great couple who are managing a MAJOR project. I am sure that your parents are PROUD of you! You two will be PROUD at all people who supported you ....especially "Papa di Papa's" and your friends.
Holy Cow! I've been watching this series for 3.5 years? So glad to see the final touches and the event we've all been waiting for.. Very happy for you two.
What a sailboat you saved, my favorite. Remember when you started it was questionable...now cant wait to see it float again ... Forgot how long this boat is.
Thanks! Love the seafoam green accent stripe on the top of the cabin. The best thing about using that crib is that it goes slower so you can access the parts that were unavailable for paint or anti-fowling rather than a last minute dash at the water If they were using one of those boat lifters to haul you out and move around the yard.
As soon as the ship hits the water a new chapter will be starting in your lives. I hope it will be as trouble free as possible and you guys will be blessed with good calm weather.
I will truly miss the team of shipwrights that have been working on Yaba. Been with you since the very beginning and I'm so excited to see Yaba on the water!
It goes without saying that you have produced a work of art, but what you and your incredible team of craftsmen have achieved with relatively simple tools is beyond belief.
I remember when Ben was showing the rotten wood that looked like chocolate cake as You removed piece after piece of the boat . Now Yaba has been reborn You are an amazing Team and should be very proud of the work you've accomplished . Go Yaba the Sea awaits You !
You guys continue to amaze me every episode. Yaba is looking so beautiful! I'm sure she will be happy to feel her sides being caressed by the salt waters once again.
This is very exciting. I can't believe it has been over 3 years. You two must by so amazed how much you have learned through all the ups and downs. Thanks for taking us along. I hope someday you will make your way to Eastern Canada and I can see Yaba in the flesh.
I have so enjoyed this channel. The skill of the shipwrights is simply amazing in what are able to accomplish. I must say once again how beautiful the lines of Yaba are. I can't wait to see her being moved into position for launch. Congrats to everyone involved!!
Dang just about there. Have watched from the beginning at illness took me over this Journey has kept me motivated through all your trials and Tribulations. 😊😊 Great effort all round and nice to have Family for the big day.😊😅😂 Those Ship wright's are just Awesome during the build and now getting her ready for some ocean. Nico is the Man he is always doing something 😊. Great colors to. 😅 NOW GET TO IT PEOPLE 😮😊. KEEP AT IT.😊
Yaba's trip to the water has been long. Soon a new adventure starts and I can't wait for it to come. What a way to see family and friends. Dinner looked great.
You have accomplished that which only a very few people have done. We are so very proud of your commitment, dedication, and passion for sharing your journey with us.
Wow that was emotional. Feeling every moment of it. Watched from the start. Liked every video and really looking forward to you guys getting back on the water.
I truly have had fun watching this since the very beginning. Since I saw you guys on Odd Life I have been a subscriber to you as well. And yes I had you write my name in the sand which made me happy to truly experience a TV show that you can be involved with. You too, are a wonderful couple and have done a wonderful job as we say in the Navy Fairwinds and following seas to you and your crew. I'm excited to keep watching.
who would of thought of all the work that yaba would have needed almost 3 and a half years ago when leaving port and noticing it was sinking. I was pesimist and thought it was a mistake to repair her, you guys put so much time, love and effort to make her shine once more. Yaba is absolutely amazing, I hope and wish a life of love and adventure to both of you, may yaba protect you as you travel around the world!
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!! AND BLESSINGS FOR YOUR ADVENTURE IN LIFE AS IT CONTINUES! You All have done an incredible Job and am So Pleased you did such an awesome job!Great Crew, you have learned so much and accomplished a Monumental Task! Wish I was there for the Launch. God Bless you All
Hard to believe it has been 3 1/2 years since I found your channel by a referral from Roberta and Duca. I remember you bought Yaba as she was sinking. You were worried the hull may have been so rotted by ship worm infestation that it may have broken apart when you lifted her out of the water. Look at her now. Yaba is practically a new boat. Have you calculated roughly how much of the original ship remains? Good luck splashing.
3years plus, I have not missed an episode. Yaba is one beautiful boat and the work and detail you both plus your team of family and friends and the workmanship of the builder's is and has been a privilege to watch. I thank you for sharing this journey and I thank Duca and Roberta for sharing your channel with us. God bless you and keep Yaba safe and you as well. ❤.
The blue anti-foul looks really nice. Before you painted it on, I was already very impressed with the combination of the bronze below the waterline, the white topsides and the natural wood for contrast. I think that just demonstrates that a boat like Yaba is going to look spectacular regardless of colour scheme.
It must be a fantastic feeling watching the cradle go under Yaba, what a refit this has been and an absolute pleasure to observe..Well done all of you 👏🏻👏🏻👊🏻
What a beautiful boat Yaba is! While we only know you from your RUclips channel, we are proud of you like many others who have followed you from the beginning!
Well, a bitter sweet moment will be the splash. I'm happy for Ben and MP and Yaba to finally get to the water but behind them they will leave many, many precious friends. Not only theirs but ours (the viewers) also. Thanks Ben and MP, you are both most beautiful people, see ya on the seas!!!
We're do excited for you guys!! Hard to believe it was a few years ago when you floated in on a sinking ship. We were so worried about you. Now look what you have accomplished. Job well done! You're an inspiration!
Come on tell about this amazing project to all of your friends, let them reach 100000 followers before the splash. They deserve it . I love this channel. It’s a good mix of building and loving, and friendship. And all the skilled people in the ship yard. Keep up your super work. And happy sailing.
Wow - She looks so beautiful compared when you first set sail and after 3 years!! You have worked so hard and have been lucky with the talented people who have been around to help/work with you - congratulation to you and MP + all the family and friends + the 2 dogs that have joined you on your journey
Both of you and others should feel so proud of yourselves in what has been accomplished in the 3 plus years. It's gone from a almost sinking ship to one of BEAUTY. I can remember when it was pulled in for repairs and wondered how ya'll were going to do it. All I can say is "WOW" . Bless you both on everything you attempt and do.............................
What I like about the boat is the uniqueness of being wood made and combinations of metal and designs. Best of luck in your bid to formally launch this beautiful boat!
I am assuming the next episode will have a boat launch. I had tears when finally on the crib. Some of the final painting details really make Yaba pop.....she's lovely, as is MP! Looking forward to the next video, thanks for sharing. 😊😊
don't be nervous there is a lot more boat work to do. just because you go it in the water doesn't mean its done, now you start to break things, on the water, it gets so much more fun :)
Very very cool, I'm hoping to see you splash. I can't believe it's been almost two and a half years. I can still remember the first video. It gave me goose bumps to watch the frame go under Yaba. I wonder when you'll be putting her name back on..... maybe before you splash? maybe after? Anyway, Congratz.
MP when you gave that timeline I was amazed to think about watching the first episode on this amazing journey to this day. I must admit that in the beginning I thought you were both mad, had more money than sense and very little skills but to your credit the boat was put into the hands of the amazing shipwrights that were required to do the work. Over the years we have watched and have been inspired by the entire team, Yaba will be remembered in that yard for many years with great affection and what great memories have been made and recorded. You two have such belief in each other, it is beautiful to watch, both humble, so in love with each other and Yaba. What awesome adventures are before you. My absolute compliments to you all
This Video has the Wow ! factor. You have done so much. I love the colour of the Anti-foul. Yaba really looks beautiful now as things are getting ready for splash. Incredible standard of finish and care taken as usual. I am so excited to see what is to come and thrilled for you all. Keep well and safe. James.
I’m genuinely so happy for yall. Been watching since the first episode, I work on oil drilling rigs and tell everyone about yall. They now ask for updates all the time and everyone is pumped to watch the splash!
I’m so excited for you two I can’t stand it. When you get a little over stressed just stop, close your eyes and just breath. When Yaba goes into the water, your life really begins. So happy for you.
The exctement is palpable..!! The clour scheme is beautiful, especially the eyebrw in the same colour as the boom. Stunning. And how exciting to have Yaba on the crib at last. This is getting real..!!! Congratulations to the whole team. Stunning..!!
I have been a fan from the beginning and I have mixed feelings. I think Yaba is looking soooogreat! You and your helpers and super talented boatrights have done miracles with Yaba! I am sort of sad that the construction part is ending but excited to see the next chapter. I hope you and the entire crew know how much this project is to those of us that watch and experience your ups and downs with you. I am almost 80 and get up and turn on my computer to see the latest Yaba segment. Thank you for all the great hours! Can't wait for the launch. My wife and I were just in Peru and Ecuador and I was thinking of going to watch Yaba but the problems in both countries affected us and I felt it was best to leave before things got worse. I will however be watching the launch and the smiles on your faces when that happens.
I think 26:30 is another image that captures the essence of this moment. Nico's supernatural energy, dedication, and skill framed in the structure of the boat that he helped build, so beautiful ❤

I guess now they can sail Yabá for a bit, sail to France and have a baby?😅 Just a thought. 😅
@eddygonzalez6018 they would make great parents. No rush though 🤣🤣🤣
@@Dragging79 Absolutely. Let's not sell the boat after a couple of years and settle in another country. Well, I'm sure Ben is missing his hometown.
Thats how i found yaba, through odd Life crafting as well.
@@danaowen9014Me too 😎🔱😎
3 and a half Years ! Every episode has been an absolute pleasure to watch. The lads in the boatyard have handled being RUclips stars brilliantly. I hope the exposure brings them all good fortune.

Guys. Excited I am for you. Yabas rebirth. Bottle of wine or Champagne to say. Happy Birthday Yaba. Well done guys. She looks amazing.
She is beautiful. When younger(much); I helped moving boats on & off cribs and it was scary every every time. Good luck with launch!
What I like about the boat is the uniqueness of being wood made and combinations of metal and designs. Best of luck in your bid to formally launch this beautiful boat!
Looking so great; you all must be so proud and excited! Can’t wait to see the launch. 😊
