In this video we explore the mechanisms underlying nervous system burnout and outline the physiological responses that accompany this process. People that experience nervous system burnout often exhibit symptoms like agitation, restlessness, and heightened anxiety, alongside sleep disturbances such as difficulty falling asleep or waking up unrefreshed.
At the core lies the dysregulation of the sympathetic adreno-medullary axis (the SAM axis), responsible for the body's stress response, triggering the release of neurotransmitters like epinephrine and norepinephrine. This cascade unfolds rapidly, highlighting the efficiency of the nervous system's fight-or-flight response.
Further, the nervous system intersects with the adrenal glands, producing cortisol via the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Herbal remedies like Passionflower, Kava, Chamomile, and Motherwort offer relief and restore balance to the body's systems.

I am good with sleeping. I usually get a good night sleep but my battery doesnt seem to be recharging. I never remember having dreams whatsoever. Its like i close my eyes and 8 hours feels like a second has gone by and i wake up. And my energy level is horrific. I used to run 5 miles a day but even walking 1 mile a few days in a row have me exhausted and quitting my routine. Do any of these herb help to increase rem restorative (dreaming) sleep?
I am taking the chronic fatigue type supplements (coq10, tmg, b vitamins, d-ribose) and trying to increase my fiber take through more veggies and prebiotic fibers. My bowel movenents have been improving but still inconsistent as well but i think my energy/hormonal system is my biggest worry atm.
