- Happy 9/21/21! Hope everyone is having a great week!
Found this video a week ago and really loved it and thought y'all would too. I love how delicate they are with the precious materials. I am way too clumsy for this line of work and I'd probably spill my Capri Sun on some ancient artifact lol. Made some minor audio edits for ASMR. This video is longer but I have the 2 best bits featured- check out the link below to see the entire clip. I have both parts of this loop separated in case you like one more than the other. Hope you enjoy!
Does anyone actually read these descriptions?! In honor of 30,000 subscribers, gonna give away a $30 Amazon giftcard.

"I did some healing on page 13, I did some healing on page 69. I did some healing with your nightmares of book snakes. 50% of the time I will steal your book and sell it on ebay, Have a great response."
a fitting, dream-themed comment for agent cooper
My favorite part of unintentional asmr now is finding references to ole dr shay in the comments
GTFO with your snarky BS.
Reading has a tendency to release some toxins, so try to read plenty of water over the next 24 hours.
sense of heat, sense of love
I’d be hella stressed all the time if my job was to handle centuries old documents and books
*book creaks* 😬😬😮😳😳🤯🤯🤯 *someone walks by and looks at you* 🥸 heyhowyadoin
I get sneeze attacks out of nowhere cuz of my bad allergies. I'd probably ruin a few.lol
I’d like to take a look at your books. I’ll first take a step back and look at you before we start. I’ll support the weight of the boards. Just go lovely and floppy, lovely and floppy…
Bit of paper
Yes, brilliant.
Please excuse my sandwich breath
I'm old and fragile. Be gentle
The concept of book snakes delights me.
I feel the same! Delighted is the perfect word for it :)
Why?
A goblin part of my brain reeaallly wants to thwack someone on the head with one. 😂
Such space age engineering
The last thing I ever expected to see in one of these compilations was a Beverly Hills Ninja reference, good choice cultured one.
I miss Chris Farley. :( RIP Haru/TommyBoy/Matt Foley
@@ASMRLoopz a yes, the man living in a van down by the river. What a legend.
"They uhhh...may have a second copy"
This was all gold
@@ASMRLoopz ruclips.net/video/kQ8UWR5cVWE/видео.html please loop it i thinki its worthy
This is so good. Why does unintentional ASMR work so much better?
Anything forced seems unnatural or uneasy, not as relaxing . That's why people working on their crafts are so relaxing, its complete genuine
Good question, Sasha. I don't know for certain, however, I completely agree with you. But I think Tonto is more-than-likely correct.
I have a motto for asmr: if it’s food asmr from a female creator, it’s probably food porn.
@@TontoBongRonto Which brings us to a weird paradox. as Asmrtist work to hone their craft as well, and in some or most cases are just as genuine with what they do
It's a bit like if you try to be cool... you're not.
Shouldn't this guy be wearing gloves?
No. That results in reduced sensation and makes damaging the pages more likely. Rare books should never be handled while wearing gloves.
I want to think these two are married to each other.
Disappointed in this video title, very misleading. I thought when they were going to handle "Rare" materials that they'd be handling mint copies of Donkey Kong Country, Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie etc...
Lol stop
Goldeneye was the shit
I'm just glad that you're symmetrical
@@metallicoustic6733 Yes.
What
my high school gym teacher got arrested for playing “drape the snake”
Uh oh
Lovely thank you.
So you were the kid that had to point on the doll in court? So sorry.
Unbelievable how you can learn almost every BS just by somebody having a nice voice
You know that book ancient as hell if you gotta whip out multiple book wedges, crazy
"im gonna show you how to unfold a plate"
"So, heres what you do:
You take the plate and you unfold it"
GENIUS!
I read all of my books using an adjustable foam cradle, acid-free bookmark, and a collection of mardi gras beads. Keep your Kindles. This is the only way to read. I'm trying to design a portable cradle so I can finally read my books on the go.
Cradle on Wheels?! You would be unstoppable
I’m 100% using my Mardi Gras beads as a book snake from here on out. My absolute favourite part of university was my time in the climate controlled rare books room, a beautiful vault. The oldest book I had the pleasure of using for my final paper on Mary Queen of Scots was from the 16th Century 🖤
@@SoaringWhiteSpiritthat is awesome!!
To be fair, Imagine how much of a dingus you would feel like if you accidentally ripped a page on a book thats been around for hundreds of years😂
BEVERLY HILLS NINJA!!!
Excellent observation.... You must be a Ninja!
I want to listen to this while smushing my face into those foam cradles and i don’t care who knows it
Poor Chris Farley forgot to drape his snake.
When the books in the cradle with the silver spoon, little boy blue and the man in the moon
How does one acquire employment, doing things of this nature?! I'd love my job.
I really wish one of those people had a British accent.
I've watched the original video about a thousand times - always wanted a proper loop but never thought anyone would do it. Thanks a lot!
awesome! always love seeing comments like these! thanks!
Where… how did you find this? I’ve tried searching unintentional ASMR (which is more along the lines of true asmr-inducing experiences) but only come up with the same old results.
@@WhisperedDelightsASMR the real key is to search for UASMR is by adjusting your search to find Playlists. I search through folk's playlists and try to find clips that the other channels haven't "discovered" yet. Highly Recommend. :)
@@ASMRLoopz Thank you!!
@@WhisperedDelightsASMR Totally! I love finding undiscovered gems that someone has tucked away in their playlist. Good luck!
I had an economics professor IDENTICAL to this guy. It was during the middle of winter, radiator heaters and this tone for an hour. I think I fell asleep LITERALLY every class. It was either that or jump out of the window!
Same with me, except mine was a philosophy professor.
Why no gloves when handling the books?
I need that foam cradle in order to sleep properly at night. 😓
Meanwhile I'm over here folding my paperbacks so they fit in my back pocket!
So he’s handling rare delicate books with his naturally oily hands.
Gloves!!!!
Nope, gloves reduce tactile sensation making it easier to mishandle or tear pages. His hands are no doubt freshly washed.
Source: me, an actual collections manager and curator.
@@scottie_2024 thanks for the insight! I was wondering about that until I saw this
Man: you want to touch the pages with your fingers as little as possible
Also man: touches every page with with his big greasy fingers
This guy seems very serious about the rare books in his care. Id guess he washed his hands like a surgeon scrubbing in, then used an anti-oil coating or perhaps got his fingertips removed and replaced with acid free prosthetics.
This will make a fine addition to my "sleep" playlist
I don't know how they've missed her, but Serene Splendor asmr from NZ is amazing. She does Bible readings but she does other stuff too; she's got an amazing voice!!
"These books are fragile and rare....let's use them to show off this magnificent foam".....
Highlight of the show!
Some one needs to tell that dude that the foam has oils in it. Will totally destroy your books.
Why would anyone have to read it? can't you just read scans or copies or is this footage from the library in Middle Earth?
yea it's weird that this video exists.
this is something archivists probably need to know. i wouldn't know where you could even read century old books as a normal person.
Scholarly research sometimes requires direct handling
And why aren't they wearing gloves?
@@deadhardy Gloves can actually do more harm than good. They can stick to old pages, causing them to rip. And in general they make it harder to be delicate with pages so they're more likely to rip.
@@SchwarzerHaufen Yeah this is almost definitely a video intended just for archivists in training and for scholars working with very old sources.
I once put my snake in a book, but someone slammed it shut and now I have to pee sitting down. Lesson learned.
Acid Free Bookmark is now an ASMR trigger for me.
Please use cotton gloves!!!
'Just open the roll to the part you want to consult, realise its indecipherable nonsense, then close the roll.'
Now if he’s done that right, both he and the book are supposed to get red in the face, but I suspect only got red in the face this time…….
You need a navy suit or something? Cause you must be ready for war
@@mattjindrak I need to establish the correct size once Iv established this I’ll attack.
I draped the snake over a book but I was thrown out of the library and added to a ‘register’ of some sort.
LMAOOO
This is a good one. It's also intersting. Not "bludgeoned her to death and then set her on fire" Interesting but the voices here so sooth me also.
Oh my God unintentional ASMR references run DEEP
Alright, someone's gonna have to fill me in on this one.
@@gabes1563Look up Jennifer Toth.
@@gabes1563yeah same here! I don’t know that reference and now I need to know.
I can't be the only one that hears a similarity in the rhythm of his voice when he says "when the book's in the cradle..." to Snoop Dogg's Drop it Like it's Hot.
When the pimp's in the crib ma..... you know? yeah? I swear I'm nor crazy
Thank you. That was very nice and relaxing.
I don't know how but you've done it again. Thank you again ASMR loops! Beautiful work. Good night everyone, sweet dreams.
Something you don’t wanna hear during the demo:
(rip)…
« AH CRAP!!!!»
followed by a co-worker: "Not Again!" lol
“When the book’s in the cradle and the silverspoon….”
That's excatly what went through my head too lmao
I'm still singing it lol
Yeah, you see... that's why we keep the book covers on. In this case your right page is just 32nd of an inch shorter than your left.
Handling rare materials without gloves????
Sooo relaxing! Obrigada! 😊
These books are handled better than most new born children 🤣
If they’re both doing it right, they’ll probably get red in the face!!!! Especially if he places the snake at the other end.....
By the way, It’s shakesbeard he was a famous pirate
No gloves?
When the books in the cradle get a silver spoon...
Be aware: This is no longer ASMR. Now contains LOUD ads - as do many of the videos from "ASMR Loopz" these days.
Well I mean everyone obviously is taught in school and knows when the book is in the cradle you support the front and back boards with the frame.
Shouldn't there be usage of gloves when handling such precious books?
I would think so too considering human hands have TONS of oils, especially on the palm side.
I read from another comment, a person who is versed in this sort of thing, that wearing gloves reduces the hand’s natural traction and can therefore lead to slippages and torn pages.
I imagine they have thoroughly cleaned hands.
@@beatrice0610 - Ah, I see, thanks =)
That's a sock - not a snake, lady. And it looks like they've been used. Trust me I know the difference...
lol. they remind me of my dog's squeaky toys after she removes the squeaker
Oh God talk about knocking me out within seconds
As a Medievalist, this video reminds me of viewing rolled Papal Bulls, incunables and manuscripts.
Yes I have to do a similar thing with my old Kindle.
Long time, first time. Thanks for the video and the gift card/code!
You found the code in the description! Cheers! (I may continue this trend in future random videos to see if anyone else is paying attention. Thanks!)
@@ASMRLoopz didn’t even notice it! I need to start reading descriptions. Very generous of you to give that away
@@mitzo4526 this was the first one but won't be the last. Thanks for checking it out!
He forgot the triangles that are really triangles 😵💫
Can't help but think of Mr Bean
Ahhh yes!! Totally remember that scene lol
Not interested in ASMR, I'm here for the manuscript training! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
This is both interesting and utterly disturbing
I don't care about $30 Amazon gift card I just want to not deal with advertisements because they're so loud
I'm sorry. I have nothing to do with those. RUclips's new policy for ad placement sucks
Not your fault youtube won't take my money so no premium for me 😏
@@davidhart4824 I have premium on my personal account and I enjoy it but I was defiant like you for years about it- so I totally get it! If I remember correctly, alot of folks use RUclips Vanced on mobile to help with ads and things. Good luck!
Speaking of rare books, The Ninth Gate is probably the bestest unintentional ASMR movie ever made. Just saying
that movie was Creepppyyy. I never remembered any asmr moments, I should re-watch it
If you're touching old rare books, shouldn't you be wearing gloves to prevent your hand/finger oils from getting onto the book especially the pages themselves?
“don’t use your fingers”… proceeds to smother the book in finger juice
Oh this one has a lot of visual asmr triggers for me… ohhhhhhhh. 👍👍👍👍👍
that's awesome- I am not well versed in the visual asmr world so that is always good to hear. Thanks for the feedback
Any gentle, slower movements by humans + accompanying asmr sounds trigger insane goosebumps for me.
I have no idea how others’ visual trigger works!
That Beverly Hills ninja cut in was funny af
Appreciate it!
What is the job called of this man? I would love this job 😊
I interviewed for the job for the roll undoer master , they ended up not hiring me I do not have 4 arms unfortunately, even with 30 years experience they had nothing for me
This guy and mr beast are cut from the same cloth in regards to their voice
Pardon me sir, please show me how to place a folio book without joint stress. Comedy gold!!
If this guy saw my algebra books he'd have a stroke.
Excuse me, where is your book cradling section?😅😅
What is the point of such loops when there are obnoxiously loud ads at various spots? I’m starting to hate RUclips
ADS ABSOLUTELY RUIN ASMR.
...
WHAT'S THE POINT???...
4:44 😂
I dont like the modern idea of triangular books...books were never meant to be triangular.
She can unroll my scroll anytime.
Why isn’t he wearing gloves? Cringe
Vellum!? Damn near killed 'em. Drape the Snake Roberts.
“When touching rare books you want to touch the books as little as possible.”
I truly love this
be carefull with your snake 😏
This dude says "put" with a B, listen
Another great find keep ‘em coming please
I just found that the first book worths 10 million dollars
Take a shot every time you hear the word “board”
This would be a lot better if they didn’t have lotta loud commercials in the middle of it
If only he was wearing a blue suit for work.
It seems extremely unnecessary to wear a suit for this job 😅
The original video got privated
She said you need 4 hands. Maybe you should call an octopus
I'd spill my Capri Sun too! LOL
Sad the original is probated I wonder why they did that
Why book snake...why not worm...racist.
I read your descriptions! They are super funny! 😂
I appreciate it! Thanks :)
when the book’s in the cradle and the silver foam, little boy blue and the man in the moon
