  • After running good day before, one day my saw wont even puff. After diagnosing my problem, I have noticed that no fuel is pulled from carb into cylinder. Compression was good but vacuum test failed, so I narrowed it down to faulty crank seals. Saw uses vacuum created in crankcase to pump fuel through carburator. Without vacuum there is no fuel to the cylinder.

Any idea what might be a ballpark price for a shop to do this? I tinker a bit with saws, but a lack of tools has me in a bind. I bought a non running 550xp with a badly scored piston. The intake flange was loose,so I thought thatd caused it. I put a good cylinder, meteor piston, and caber ring back in it,but it's still got an air leak I cant find. You start it up and it idles about 5k rpm and dies when you rev it up unless you feather the throttle.

No idea mate. My father recently sent his old saw to shop for carb replacement(it was really old) and they took 50 euro for work + extra for parts. Told him that i could probably rebuild it myself but he said it will hold longer if new carb was installed. Could do that myself too :D

why you not use some grease for bearing lubricate!??

I actually did use some 2 stroke oil on crank bearings so it would not run dry on first start and I packed clutch needle bearing with ceramic grease. Although, I wouldn't recommend packing crank bearings.

Any problems with husqarna 560 good model or not ?

When i bought this i was used to 345 to use around house, so 560xp is certainly upgrade, more power, push-to-stop switch is much better than old flip on-off switch. No real problems except leaking crank seals, which resulted in saw not running(no fuel through carb without vacuum). Other than that, just regular maintenance stuff. Only thing that pisses me off on this saw, and a lot of others on european market - dogs/spikes are shaped in way that prevents you to injure yourself with it. In certain positions its not biting into wood as it should. But overall Thumbs up for this saw
