I love that Doc did the rejuvenation thing so that the actor (why am I blanking on his name 🤦♀️) didnt have to wear the old man make up, yet everyone says he looks the exact same 😂
The "blender" on the car was a home fusion reactor. The name "Mr. Fusion" was inspired by the Mr. Coffee brand of coffee makers. The point of the joke was that in the future, nuclear fusion reactors would be common household appliances, just like coffee makers.
Things that this movie predicted: the rise of ubiquitous cameras; use of unmanned flying drones for newsgathering; widescreen flat-panel television sets mounted on walls with multiple channel viewing; video chat systems; hands-free video games; talking hologram billboards; wearable technology; tablet computers with fingerprint scanners; head-mounted displays; dog-walking drones, and payment on personal portable devices.
Everyone who laughs at flying cars, fax machines on every wall (probably based on a sponsorship that one) and $50 for a Pepsi really has to read your list.
Prediction is a hard word here. Some things got right by coincidence and some things we got are actually inspired by old futuristic movies. Especially from the oldest Star Trek series. It is cool how movies and TV shows about the future also develop the future. A good way to accept the 2015 scenes nowadays is that it is an alternate timeline as well. Even though they never really tried to be serious about it.
As Biff bets on sporting events, he changes the future. The book comes from the future, so the data it records changes along with it. Just like Marty's photograph in the first film. No matter what Biff does, as long as that book gets published, it will always reflect the correct scores.
@Phil Nolan It's quite a coincidence that it was published that year given that the first BackToTheFuture film came out in 1985 and the whole BackToTheFuture trilogy in general is based on 1985 being the present day. Which despite many years after 1895 looks almost the same year just 1 position swap with 8 & 9. BackToTheFuture was planned to be made a few years earlier than they started making it as well so it wasn't planned all along to be 1985.
"He didn't change at all" He did. He basically removed the "old" makeup they used for 1985 Doc, which was just subtle wrinkles. But its so subtle that its not even noticeable unless seen in a HUGE screen or in the movie theater. But this way he doesn't have to wear it anymore, so he has the same face as his 1955 self, and they explain it away by saying he went to a rejuvenation clinic to make him look younger As for the "99 in the sky" - its not numbers, its the fire tracks from jumping through time. The DeLorean was spinning, so the fire trails spiraled after the blast
I was today year's old when I realised that the Auto Detailing cards that Biff if trying to show Marty at the beginning of the film, are what the Biffco matches become when they fix the future.
Not trying to get political, but the filmmakers have confirmed that Biff in the alternative 1985 was heavily based in appearance and character on Donald Trump.
If you want to know the crazy part. To Marty, this has all happened in less than 10 days. Doc spent time in the future making the delorean fly, giving himself a makeover, qnd getting currency for time periods. Imagine Marty though, he spent a week in 1955 and then when he gets back home to 1985, not even a full day and he's going to 2015 and then back to 1955. Hence, he says, "I feel like I was here yesterday..." Doc says, "You WERE here yesterday." Imagine 1955 Doc as well. Spent so much trouble sending Marty to 1985 and then moments later, another Marty appears. 🤣🤣🤣
When the *DeLorean* is hit by lightning that's not supposed to be *99* but two flamed tire tracks like every time it goes through time travel. Remember last time when they had no plutonium they used the lightning strike to go back in time
6:58 Baby Elijah Wood spotted. I always see commenters on reactions to this movie share that trivia, but most leave this part on the cutting room floor, so this is my first time getting to see it in a reaction video!
The jacket "sounds like Stephen Hawking" because Amigas could talk like that in 1985, and they thought clothes would have speech synthesizers like that in them. In reality you would use a recorded sample, but nobody saw mp3's coming before 1997. Megabytes of solid state storage was unimaginable in 1988.
So many things were unimaginable when they made these movies! Crazy to look at futuristic movies made early on, and to realize with all the incredible things they were able to imagine, nobody saw smartphones coming.
16:13 -- yes, Biff would end up making changes that also changed the outcome of some races, but remember that in these movies, records of the future brought to the past will "update" themselves to reflect changes in the timeline. Thus Marty and his siblings started to fade away from the photograph when it looked like their parents woundn't get together after all, and thus the newspapers change at the end of this movie. So occasionally, the text in the sports almanac would change to reflect the "current" future, no matter how many changes to the timeline Biff's actions introduced.
The best movie of the trilogy in my opinion. This movie allude allot to the classic movie It's A Wonderful Life from 1946 so that movie I think is one of the first time travel or alternative reality movie. What does this movie does first I think is showing the first movie from different perspective which is so cool. A stunt double actually got hurt in real life pretty seriously from that clock tower hover board crash scene. George is upside down because they replaced the actor. because the actor from the first movie didn't want to come back. He actually saw the production for using a make in the shape of his face on the double.
2:20 it may look different because the actress that played Jennifer in the 1st movie is different than the one who played her in the 2nd and 3rd. The 1st movie was Claudia Wells, and the 2nd and 3rd was Elizabeth Shue
11:28 he’s upside down bc that’s a different actor from the first movie so they had him upside to make it look like the same actor (Crispin Glover) from before
When the DeLorean was struck by lightning, the flux capacitor was electrified and the DeLorean began spinning fast enough to activate it. You’ll notice the flame trailers from the tires form a spiral:
17:18 Doc has two "1864" money slots-- one with United States dollars (green) and the other with Confederate States dollars (orange). I guess Doc was originally planning to go to the Civil War era with the time machine, or he had already been there if he had money from that year.
This is probably my favorite of the trilogy. I believe the first part of the movie suffered somewhat because of the joke ending of the original. I guess that was bound to happen when no plans for a sequel were ever made until a few years later. Silly thought is the second part of the movie would probably not have happened. Doc never put anything into Mr. Fusion until after Biff came back, so he should have never made it to the past to begin with. Of course, he could have always seen Doc doing it off-screen at the start of the movie.
Austin Powers Trilogy, that's an other time travel genre it does parody James Bond 007, Star Wars, Independence day, Singing in the rain nd few other things so you may want to get up on old movies more 1st. but its fun Time travel and spy comedy.
The beginning looks different because it seems they filmed it later in the day than when they filmed it in the first one and Jennifer is played by a different actress. Claudia Wells played her in first film while Elizabeth Shue played her in this one.
So... old Biff went back in time, creating an alternate reality, but somehow, he managed to go back to the right timeline. Could the Delorean travel through realities the whole time and we didn't notice? 🤔
*2015* is now in the past but try to imagine *30yrs* from now what would *2051* be like In this *2015* is *1980's* exaggerated mixed with some *Sci-fi*
They already had to replace the Jennifer actress, which is quite obvious if you ask me (so much to „this time I will catch everything...“ 👍🏻😂) and the actor that played George didn’t wanna reprise that role or asked too much, so they took just anyone and hid that fact with flying him around upside down or just showing him from behind 😁
People are too sensitive about spoilers that I’m not always sure they know what actually spoils. The trailer at the end was an actual teaser trailer in that it really doesn’t give you much of an idea of what is going on and just teases you. The only thing kind of revealed was heavily implied in the last scene and is shown on the movie poster. There’s nothing spoiled. There’s also nothing missed by skipping it. I wouldn’t worry about it. I assume you’re about to watch it anyway.
Talking about the butterfly effect, you should really react to the 2004 movie of that name. It's criminally underrated, and barely anyone's reacting to it.
It sucks that someone led you astray with the end of the movie and convinced you not to watch the entire thing. You see, the 'trailer' is part of this movie. When I went to the movie theater and watched this movie, that trailer was in the movie. You're meant to see that trailer. Trailers aren't 'spoilers', they're trailers. When you see a commercial for a movie on TV, that's not considered a 'spoiler', is it? I was hoping that you'd watch that, so we could see your reaction to that part of this movie. But I'm not surprised, there's people that try to convince reactors not to watch it, and I find that to be completely silly. Like I said, you're MEANT to see that trailer. Not watching it means that you didn't watch all of this movie. If it were me, and if I hadn't watched III yet, I'd go and watch those last 2 minutes of this movie.

15:22 LOL. You are the first reactor to notice Lorraine's *ahem... assets before Marty. 🤣🤣🤣 Nobody notices until after Marty is so shocked and obviously looking down.
Yes there was a trailer at the end that was because Director Robert Zemeckis after seeing Empire Strikes Back was so frustrated that he had to wait 3 Years before seeing Return of the Jedi that he didn't want the Back to the Future fans wait that long

think the 3rd one is better, this one is just the 1st one again with a lot more going on, its very convoluted, it kinda seems like they just wanted to capitalize on the success of the first one without really coming up with anything new, the whole chase for the almanac isnt the greatest plot xD the 1st one is the best and then the 3rd one is pretty good as well :)
The fax printout doesn't look "futuristic" because this movie was made in 1989; ink jet printers hadn't been invented yet and all printers still used dot matrix.
Something looks different in the beginning. New Jennifer actress.... and they re-filmed that scene for this movie.
