Superb Video as usual. The car has grown on me massively. I think it looks fantastic and this car sounds like a real M3. You really made a great choice by buying the M3. I guess you will really have a blast.
Hey Joe...so...we now know you will have the orange interior...I'm sure if we are patient enough, you will slip out again and state the colour of your incoming M3! You are one lucky dude though. M3 is the stuff of dreams!

@@JoeAchilles1 well, it was a nice surprise. Anyway, that’s the best interior color and what I would choose..seems like an updated version of the sakhir orange, but a little less red. The exterior better be Isle of Man Green metallic!!!

What a spec! This is honestly really nice, especially those rims! I’d personally take the M3 over the M4 because of the sharper side angles, but he M4 is no joke either!

@@JoeAchilles1 The M3's design is much more aggressive AND smoother, more harmonic than the M4's. Would prefer the M3 over the M4 everytime.
I prefer the m4 cuz I only drive coupes. 4 door cars are uglier than 2 door cars.

I just want to see a manual m3/m4 man. Idk why people are so obsessed with the "fastest", like you're gonna be doing 0-60 every day, manuals are waaaaaay more fun.
Your exactly right. The twin clutch was never great with it's artificially added drama provided by abrupt and jerky gear changes. The ZF in this car is similar to the M140i and is absolutely superb. I have a super rare F82 Competition manual and it's a fabulous drivers car. Pilot Super Sports when cold make the car really twitchy!
People are giving this car great reviews. I’m so glad I waited instead of going with the RS5. Ordered and should be delivered in a few weeks!!!!

Except for Chris Harris and Autocar. Actual car journalists with no vested interest. They say it's a decent track car and an average road car. Alfa gets their vote.

Love that colour on the new M3. The grille is starting to grow on me, especially in darker coloured cars, as others have said. Looks-wise I reckon the M3 looks better than the M4 and it’s not just because the fenders are more flared, somehow the rear fender on the M4 just looks a bit nah to me, a bit like a Mustang.

finally, an m3 w some character. previous more and more homogenized w/ the rest of the BMW stable - hard to tell em apart: not so w/ these :)
the front grill starts growing on me faster then I would think it just looking good also might be because of the colour of the car

The new M3 is brilliant. I simply love it’s engine, drive, look, practicality. It’s is a head of RS5 and C63. Simply adorable car.
@FDMC. The current C63 came out way back in late 2014! Wait for the new C63 to judge which is better

Compared to the M440i grill, this grill and the M4’s are definitely better

Great review,, I just tried G80 and G82 back to back and the M3 is for sure more stiffer than M4, and better on track for that reason, less body roll. Great cars no doubt

I'm definitely gonna be in the market for one of these I loved my F80 this is a beautiful car and I like the grills I think it looks better with darker colours.

I have to say, as someone who was lukewarm on the grille at first, it's very spec dependent. I actually would never have considered oxide grey from the configurator, but that looks pretty epic on the road. Looks bloody wide and very menacing.

Saw a M4 in the flesh on the highway yesterday. Cruised up to him in my M2, had a short chat a wave, and I have been sold. Looks great IRL. Will be going the M3 route myself.

Kinda like the understated effect that this colour combo has on the car. Wish the bonnet had a power dome! Finding the front end a bit too flat looking.

Saw an AW M4 at one of my local dealers,....and guys let me just say this,...that "Orange" leather is going to steal the #1 Trophy at all Car Shows,...especially if it's sunny out! It's stupid stunning!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I really like the way Joe conducts his reviews. Very professional and never boring. This particular M3 in this colour looks amazing. If I won the lottery today, I'd spec an M3 in this colour tomorrow. Cheers!
it looks so much better than the m4 imo! Not only the WONDERFUL flared fenders, but it has the all important hofmeiser kink, which is for some reason missing from the 4...
Those carbon fiber sport seats looks spectacular! Interior is heading in the right direction. The front - not a fan ⛔️ of the front design.

The grill has always been nice! Large snout like my old evo X, and current z1le. Initial hate on the internet starts then all off of sudden it grows on people as always.
How nice is it to actually be excited about an M3 again? I am definitely taking a hard look at one of these when it's time for my next ride!

I love the car, I do. Chris Harris pointed out the wheel fitment and I can’t unsee it. The offsets look terrible. 😢
Its optimised for the m x drive I imagine, so the wider front wheels should fill up the gap. Also, the front alloys are 19 inch, so that'll affect the visual appearance when compared to the 20s at the rear

Great vid 👌. I have an f82 M4 for me it’s always 2 doors. Styling is so much nicer. My kids were 1/2 when I had an e46 m3. With the f82 they are now 9/10. They get in the back every day to and from school including in the winter. Wouldn’t touch an m3 with a 10 ft pole !

The UK city speed limits are 20Mph in most places and then 30mph in others. So it’s the pleasure of being the first at the traffic lights and acceleration to 20 or 30 Mph the thrill.

Joe, I’m glad you mentioned the completely lackluster triangle 📐 strut brace. For the amount of money 💰 that BMW is $elling these M cars for, at least they could have made it sexy looking or out of carbon fiber!

The stance of the car at the rear is awesome. Colour combination is excellent, the M4 interior was too garish.

Hated 'that' grill when press pictures of the new M3 first emerged. Growing on me now, and dare I say it, but it almost looks good in these tracking shots. Maybe it's the colour. Can't wait to see a touring in the flesh.

Great Video Joe, first time I’ve seen a G80 M3 and I thought I want one! Unfortunately with the right extras it’s €152k in Ireland! A 2018 M5 for €90k will be a good placeholder!
These new M-BMWs look really awsome, its actually the first time i really like the design-language of a BMW.. I cannot understand all the hate for the new design. And i say this as a mercedes Fanboy :)

Honestly, I think the front of this car looks great. Because it's much different than previous gen m3 people need time to get used to it, but if it wasn't bmw I'm sure that people will love it since it was reveled.
I love how the interior is basically the same design going back 15 years just more refined with each generation.
I’ve owned 2 previous m3’s. One was the V8 competition (too harsh for British roads) and the f80 m3 non comp pack. The f80 was an absolute animal to drive but you knew where the limit was. I’ve been lucky to have a go in the new m3 and it feels too much for British roads. It bobs and weaves where you can’t plant it properly.
Interesting, I would say the F80 is far more of a handful on a typical UK road, the suspension and tyres on the G80 make it a joy to drive fast.
Great video again Joe..... I personally can’t wait for the M3 Touring - I recon my F82 M4 CP will be getting a new home when the M3 CP Touring arrives!

I think this car looks amazing, if you just take the beaver grill into account in isolation you could argue its not great but the detail on the bonnet to frame it works fantastically well.
I am still waiting for my convertible M4 competition in this same Oxidgrey II and same rims as on video 😊
Not one to follow every new car launch but there something about this car that draws me in, can't wait to see how it fairs on track, so far can't see any decent laptimes recorded except for top gear test track.

Lovely car only thing I don't like is headrest in the rear of the car they look terrible as if they just gave up... look like the m2 rear seats . The f80 rear headrests were far nicer
I watch a lot of driving comparisons and we enjoys yours better then most.
maybe its the staggered wheel setup that makes it feel like its having an xdrive..anyways the car looks more awesome the more i look at it.

B pillars seems to have taken a nod from the Guilia QF, actually starts to make sense once the germans pick up on it, also the BHP and torque figures 👍
