@@scurvy786 i play il2 sturmovik COD and the current one. my gfx card just stopped working, so really pissed at moment, due to laptop gaming and FS 2020 coming out soon, i can play barony and any pre-2009 games lol, saving up like a gud un for a new gfx card
@@ScoopDogg Good luck in getting your card soon, maybe saving up might even pay off as u the next generation cards will drop in 2-3 months i think, so u might be able to pick up a second hand card cheaper or get a next gen one. See you in the skies!
I love the shooting down bombers levels, fly in behind them slow down to nearly stall aand turkey shoot, you will get a few at a time even if it takes a minute for them to crash
This was the first sim where the non 2D view mode was usable. FS98 had the Virtual Cockpit, but every plane looked bad and the flight controls didn’t update. The Virtual Cockpit here however looked better (besides the Sopwith Camel), spanning all around and featuring crosshairs and the flight controls did update.
Did I also spend countless hours on this? Hell yeah. I'd also make copies of aircraft folders from FS98 and put them in this game. So yeah, a Cessna 182 or Lear Jet with guns, rockets and bombs. I even did a scenery swap and put FS98 global scenery in it. You can even go as far as making copies of the VOR tower locations and adding them to this game.

Back in 1999 I bought in Costco a combo with this game, the normal Flight Simulator and a the Joystick from Microsoft, I had lot’s of fun for years!! Best ever spent money 😂😂😂
They terrain textures look here quiet good like in fs9 better than fs2000-2002 just look well I used their ground textures in fsx as a separate add on just rename ground texture files found in main texture folder according to fsx format !
When games came with 1 inch thick books. oh the happy days.. those frame rates and pop-ins didnt exist back then thankfully when 4k meant memory and not resolution : )

There was a book given with the CD. It had names and photos of different aircraft with the armament and other details. Also dogfight maneuvers.
