- Hey everyone, wishing you all a very happy new year! 2024 looks to be the biggest year yet for Flight Simulation as today's video shows. We are set for many widebodies to make an appearance into Microsoft Flight Simulator, but it doesn't just stop there, as we see in this video. From new military aircraft to vintage icons, it looks like it should be a great year for MSFS. Where possible, I specify if it will be a PC or Xbox release as well as whether it will be payware or freeware.
This comprehensive list delves into the jets, airliners, helicopters and more, all of which we should see across this year. That being said, it is not a perfect list, so feel free to let me know of any additions down below in the comments, it is much appreciated, I hope you enjoy today's video. Happy flying!

The 737 Max uncertainty is probably because they're trying to figure out how to simulate loose or missing bolts, along with random as yet unknown manufacturing defects.

The planes i'm looking forward to the most are the B777, B757, A380, A350, and FSS Ejets with the cFMS update

I'm so excited for this a320Neo V2. The default a320 is an absolute shambles and I'm an Xbox user. This is a real treat I'd say for some of us MSFS Xbox communities. Especiallg freeware!

Literally the aircraft I want the most are gonna be released this year. It will be amazing. 777, 757, A321/19 I’m so excited for these so I can expand my American Airlines ops. Also ofc beyond excited for the A380.
Some great airliners in that list, and like you say, it's gonna be a big year on the wallet!

Thanks for the news,I can't wait to put my hands on the Avro RJ !!! Right now I'm flyng the BAE 146 100, and is such an amazing aircraft! Intense learning curve, super fun to fly, looks dope, incredible sound design, I can't say how much i suggest to try it! Jumbolino lovers right here ❤
P.s just flight will probably give a discount for the Avro RJ if you already own the 146

Looking forward the most to the SR-71 and the Tornado, and I really hope people out there are working various Awacs, the U2 and more Dassault military jets. Ive got no clue if its possible or how difficult it would be but I also would love to have a more realistic night sky. And other things that can bring the world more allive, especially now that ships and cars are also in the sim. And of course the big elephant in the room, they got to drop that non excuse that cosmetic armament on military aircraft, ships, monuments etc continues to be banned.
Gonna be a Great year for aircraft. Also, Latino V FR said. They are making the A330 - 200 CEO.
I really enjoy these update videos - thankyou for the effort you put into them. I have a question about one of the aircraft though. When first announced, Bluebird said there would be 2 versions of there 757, a more basic version for casual fliers, and a more advanced version for more experienced pilots. Do you know if that is still there intention?

BlueBirds Simulations announced a 767 recently as well! 😊
That's not coming in 2024 it will be hard pressed for Bluebird to get the 757 out this year.
Nice list, however I'm a bit pessimistic on FBWs A380 - while progress is great without any doubt it depends much on what they want to be finished for a 1.0 or Beta release.
While the outside looks fairly complete now there is no cabin in place (on some shots one can lurk through the windows and see that the scenery behind the aircraft is visible with no indications of glass blocking the view). I think at one point they said that the cabin may come later but I also wonder why they did not plug the holes right now with some parallax shader equipped meshes...
However I hope it will not slip into 2025 and see some sort of a release this year but I pretty much think there is still tons of work to do (also on system side of things).

In BizJets you missed a big name: The Phenom 300 by FSReborn, I think it will be ready in the second half of 2024. The Tornado is being developed by IndiaFoxtEcho and JustFlight also has the Airbus A300 B coming probably in 2024. There is another Su27 for MSFS by Deimos that I think is better than DC Designs version and should be released in the Marketplace very soon. In GA I think the Duke by BlackSquare is a 2024 project. Another miss is the Piaggio 180 by FlightFX that I think is a 2024 project. And finally if you want something special the XB-70 Valkyrie is probably also a 2024 release.

This will be a really nice year. Not much more I need for a sim. The time has then come where P3D and X-Plane is replaced
Definitely a bad year for the wallet. Upgraded PC last year though, so will probably set a reasonable monthly budget for this year and plan on adding some more aircraft.
MD11/10 freeware,(TFDI is out of my price range)A340 LVFR(There is supposed to be a freeware A340 but again not much being said lately),Lancaster,Chinook.A380 and 777.That's about it from this list. There was a The Northrop P-61 Black Widow freeware I believe but nothings been said for a long time now.
The P-61 is in dev by DC Designs, the latest statement on the official forums was from April 25th 2023:
"P-61 is still in the wings waiting - there has just been too much for me to do so the project list has been pushed back repeatedly. Wish it were otherwise but sadly there are only so many hours in the day. Will be in touch as soon as I can with more news and updates."

@@PilotStudd that’s correct! A much better trainer along with the Prefect for elementary flying training, although they still use the Grob Tutor that IRIS simulations has for the sim also :)

I want to have a380 a220 definitely then A330-300 and -200 and 777 especially the -F. Also the 737 max. And I also look very very forward to the B757 and I hope they will also release a cargo variant. The MD11 I don’t look really forward but nice to have ig.

Forgot to mention the Just Flight A300B4 3 man cockpit with the first in msfs, INS. with a possibly 747-200 but my guess is next year for the 747

Haven’t played FS2020, but plan to buy FS2024 when it releases. Also going to buy a PC at the same time so I’ll have the most up-to-date one to run in high resolution.

Please can someone help me, i want to buy the fenix a320 but i dont know if i can use the fenix planes, because i installed the flightsim off the xbox store on my pc, but On the website it says it wont work if i installed msfs off the xbox store, but i dont know if it means the xbox or the xbox store on pc.

Really love how these mod developers are expecting to be paid for aircraft designs that they don't own, or that they think people can drop thousands of dollars on this sim. Surprised, though, that Airline manufacturers aren't trying to sue these developers for profitting from manufacturer aircraft designs.
Im a beta testor for a well known developer.....there are some awesome business jets coming!

Have Inibuilds confirmed the A350 for xbox? Have heard that they are releasing many amazing aircrafts but they are very silent when it comes to there pay products. The same question gose for the A380 and A300-600. Said it before and say it again. For us on Xbox I hope Areosoft A330-300 is gonna be a good reales. If all Airbuses comes out and works well. Then we all have the hole line of Airbus. Both on PC and Xbox.
They have confirmed it for Xbox via Discord, looking to be a good year for Xbox as well!
